Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan di kelas 7 Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Berastagi, Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara. Jumlah peserta pelatihan sebanyak 129 orang. Pelatihan dilaksanakan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan. Teknik pelatihan, yaitu (1) menjelaskan ringkasan materi, (2) menjelaskan contoh, (3) latihan menyelesaikan soal, dan (4) kuis. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, soal yang meliputi operasi bilangan pecahan dan literasi matematis. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif terhadap data hasil angket, pretest dan posttest, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan operasi bilangan pecahan dapat meningkatkan; (1) minat belajar siswa, (2) kemampuan operasi bilangan pecahan, dan (3) kemampuan literasi matematis.

Abstract

The market is a meeting place between traders and buyers, which is often visited by the community and has the potential to become a location for disease transmission through vectors. This community service uses observation methods with checklist forms, interviews, and counseling for traders. The results show that market sanitation, including water, air, soil, and food, has not met the expected standards. Improvements are needed, especially in waste management, toilet facilities, and clean water provision. The average sanitation quality score of the six parameters showed significant deficiencies. Counseling was conducted to educate traders about efforts to improve market sanitation. This community service emphasizes the importance of effective sanitation management to improve public health and prevent the spread of disease. It is hoped that improvements in sanitation infrastructure and education for traders can improve the cleanliness conditions at Panjang Market, Wua-wua District, Kendari City.

Abstract

MSMEs play a crucial role in Indonesia’s economy, yet challenges in digital adaptation often hinder their growth and competitiveness. This digital marketing assistance program aims to enhance the sales of Anis Berkah Tailor through effective branding and the use of digital platforms. The program began with in-depth interviews to identify the needs and challenges of the MSME, followed by assistance in designing a logo to serve as a visual identity representing its business values. The next phase involved creating and managing Instagram and Facebook accounts, emphasizing optimized profile settings and engaging content strategies. The results revealed that the new logo improved the business's professionalism and visual appeal, while social media expanded market reach and enhanced consumer engagement. Additionally, training on digital platform features provided valuable insights for the MSME owner, enabling more effective utilization of online marketing opportunities. With the right strategies in place, Anis Berkah Tailor is expected to achieve sustained productivity, competitiveness, and revenue growth.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) was carried out by STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci lecturers in Ulu Langat Malaysia where there are a lot of immigrant workers, especially workers from the Kerinci Regency and Sungai Full City areas who are members of the HKKN (National Kerinci Family Association) in Malaysia. This service aims to provide socialization regarding the importance of entrepreneurship even though most of the workforce already works in Malaysia. In this modern era, creativity and innovation are very necessary in various business fields to achieve competitive advantage. So, with this service activity, the aim is to increase the entrepreneurial spirit of the workforce so that they can increase family income, provide an understanding of creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship to immigrant workers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This community service activity is carried out by providing lecture materials and provide examples of businesses that can increase immigrant workers' references in entrepreneurship. The material presented is relevant to current technological developments, so it is hoped that immigrant workers can change their mindset about the importance of being an entrepreneur in this modern era.

Abstract

An earthquake is a vibration on the earth's surface that occurs due to the sudden release of energy from within the earth which causes a change in the position of the earth. Based on Indonesian Disaster Information Data (DIBI), an average of ten disaster events occurred per day in Indonesia between 2019 and 2022. In 2021, Southeast Sulawesi Province was categorized as having high risk with a disaster risk index of 157.90, while Kendari City included in the medium risk category with an index of 116.50. This socialization aims to increase the awareness, knowledge and skills of SD Negeri 6 Kendari students in dealing with emergency situations in order to protect themselves and the environment. Activities are carried out through earthquake disaster response education which is measured by pre-test and post-test. The results of descriptive analysis show that the level of student knowledge before counseling was 6.62% and increased to 8.47% after counseling. The Wilcoxon test produces a Value of p = 0.000 (p <0.005), which shows that this education is effective in increasing students' knowledge about earthquakes.

Abstract

Literacy and Numeracy are core skills that must be mastered by elementary school students. Learning with the same method for a long period often cause students quickly bored, including when learning literacy and numeracy at SD N 2 Temurejo Bangorejo. Therefore, making varied learning innovations is the main focus of the teachers at SD N 2 Temurejo. The learning process of literacy and numeracy is not limited, it is highly recommended to utilize the school environment and culture that is already known to all school components, especially students. Healthy Friday is a routine culture carried out every two weeks at SD N 2 Temurejo, where every school component will receive healthy food. This activity aimed to innovate literacy and numeracy learning make the provision of a Nutrition Information Label on food to in the Healthy Friday activity. This activity is carried out by providing nutrition information labels on fruit ice with the composition and nutritional value in it. After being given the nutrition information label, students are required to read and understand each component of the information listed on the label. As a result, in addition to getting healthy food, students also get new learning about the nutritional information of the food they will consume. Reading the nutritional components and nutritional content as a medium for improving understanding of literacy and numeracy learning has never been learned before by the students of SD N 2 Temurejo, therefore, this can be made an exciting learning innovation and have an impact on the literacy and numeracy abilities of elementary school students.

Abstract

The Healthy Indonesia Program aims to improve the health and nutritional status of the community through health efforts and community empowerment supported by financial protection and equitable distribution of health services. One of the 12 indicators of the Healthy Indonesia Family Approach Program is the growth of toddlers which is monitored every month. Posyandu cadres are the central point for conducting initial screening for nutritional problems through monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers at Posyandu. The aim of this activity is to evaluate and refresh methods for measuring toddler anthropometry at Posyandu Cadres in Lombuea Village, North Moramo District. This activity began with a pre-test on the skills of Posyandu cadres in carrying out anthropometric measurements, then a simulation of how to measure anthropometrically well and correctly was given by the Healthy Village Team. The pre-test results show that it is true that Posyandu cadres still have errors during anthropometric measurements which can influence the measurement results. After being given a simulation on how to measure anthropometrically for babies and toddlers properly and correctly, Posyandu cadres are aware of several errors during measurements and know how to measure well. and true. It is recommended that cadres continue to refresh anthropometric measurements of toddlers so that they can carry out measurements accurately so that assessing the nutritional status of toddlers at posyandu can also produce data that is appropriate to the condition of babies and toddlers

Abstract

Dengue fever is a disease that kills a lot of people and attacks the community, so it's important to pay attention to this intense outbreak. Different endeavors have been made to defeat this episode, yet there are as many individuals who don't know about the dangers. Aromatherapy candles are one option for repelling mosquitoes. Aromatherapy candles can be made from the abundant lemongrass that grows in the yard. Aromatherapy candles with lemongrass in them repel mosquitoes and can help alleviate stress. This act of community service involves teaching members of the community, particularly cadres in Puasana village, about the dangers of dengue fever and how to get it. In addition to counseling, instructions were given on how to make aromatherapy candles. In this way, people will learn more about the dangers of dengue fever and how living plants can be turned into valuable objects

Abstract

Tantangan yang dihadapi usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM) di Indonesia khususnya dalam pengelolaan keuangan. UMKM berperan penting dalam perekonomian namun seriungkali terkendala oleh kurangnya pemahaman tentang keuangan dan kesulitan mengakses sumber daya. Beberapa masalah utama yang dihadapi UMKM meliputi kurangnya literasi keuangan, kesulitan mengakses pembiayaan, persaingan yang ketat. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini ada beberapa solusi seperti pelatihan dan pendampingan, pemanfaatan teknologi, kolaborasi dengan lembaga keuangan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan masyarakat dan memberdayakan UMKM di desa mandiraja. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan ini bahwa pelaku UMKM sudah menjalankan perencanaan keuangan namun belum secara tepat seperti tidak menganalisis layak atau tidaknya usaha yang dijalankan dan belum dapat mengidentifikasi biaya-biaya yang dibutuhkan sehingga tidak dapat menghitung laba rugi yang tepat serta masih menggabungkan uang usaha dan uang pribadi dan juga belum memahami dalam perencanaan keuangan dan menyusun anggaran yang tepat.

Abstract

One of the health indicators that is assessed for the success of its achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is the nutritional status of children under five. The family has an important role in improving and monitoring the nutritional status of children under five. The purpose of this community service is to increase the ability of families to deal with malnutrition in children under five through the PELITA Movement "Care for Children Under-Nutrition". The community service of the PELITA Movement in Lengkong Village, Mojoanyar District, UPT Working Area, Gayaman Health Center, Mojokerto Regency will be held in June-December 2024. The target of the PELITA Movement is 22 families with under-nutrition children under five. The implementation method of this activity includes the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The preparation stage is carried out through permits to the village and socialization to families with under-nutrition of children under five. The implementation stage is fulfilled, to pre-test the family's ability to handle under-nutrition in children under five. The PELITA movement is given through nutrition education and coaching to families through home visits. The final stage is an evaluation (post-test) to determine the family's ability to handle under-nutrition children under five. Family ability increased by 63.6% to good. There was an influence of the PELITA Movement in improving the ability of families to overcome under-nutrition in children under five (P-value 0.001<0.05). Public health nurses can use the PELITA movement approach to accelerate the handling and decrease of nutritional problems for children under five.
