Abstract

Abstract

Lobster batu membutuhkan lama pingsan selama 110 detik. Sedangkan lobster batik membutuhkan lama pingsan selama 60 detik. Siuman lobster batu membutuhkan waktu selama 45 detik untuk siuman kembali. Sedangkan siuman lobster batik membutuhkan waktu sadar yaitu selama 30 detik.

Abstract

Chef carp (Carassius auratus) is a freshwater ornamental fish that is one of the ornamental fish that is widely cultivated because it has a diverse body shape and has a variety of colors. The problem often faced by carp suppliers in the process of distributing fish with a closed fish transportation system is low survival pass. The use of such anesthesia materials is quite effective in closed transport systems. One of the natural compounds that can be used as an anesthetic agent is rotenon. The roots of tubal plants contain rotenon, a powerful poison for fish and insects. The method used in this study is an experimental method, this study uses Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 repeats. The dose of tubal root extract used was P1 (control), P2 (0.10 ml / L), P3 (0.15 ml / L), P4 (0.20 ml / L). The density of fish per plastic bag amounts to 10 heads with a transportation time of 9 hours. The parameters observed were length of intoxication time, survival rate, length of time recovered consciously, oxygen consumption rate and water quality. Giving doses of tubal root extract with different doses had a significant effect (P<0.05). The highest survival rate value in P2 treatment with a dose of 0.10 ml and saving the rate of oxygen consumption with the right dose is in P4 with a dose of 0.20 ml / L ranging from 0.039 mg O2 / minute.

Abstract

The Guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata) is a popular freshwater ornamental fish in Indonesia, presenting good opportunities for cultivation. However, one common issue faced by fish farmers is the low brightness of the fish's colors, which lowers its market value and affects consumer demand. One approach to address this is by adding pigmentation ingredients to the feed to enhance the fish's body color. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of adding butterfly pea flower powder (Clitoria ternatea L.) to the feed on the color brightness of Guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata). The research used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and a non-factorial layout, consisting of five treatments and three repetitions. The study was conducted over 10 days, with the following treatments: P0 (control, without butterfly pea flower powder), P1 (feed with 3% butterfly pea flower powder), P2 (feed with 6% butterfly pea flower powder), P3 (feed with 9% butterfly pea flower powder), and P4 (feed with 12% butterfly pea flower powder). The ANOVA test showed that adding butterfly pea flower powder in various concentrations significantly affected (P<0.05) the increase in color brightness of guppy fish. Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) indicated that P4 resulted in the highest increase in color brightness, with a value of 2.46, significantly different from P0 (control), but not significantly different from P2 and P3 treatments

Abstract

The sale of lobster plays a significant role in the fisheries sector, particularly within the export market. Lobster transportation is typically carried out using a dry transport system. Anesthesia is a crucial step in the dry transport process. Anesthetic agents can be derived from natural sources, such as papaya leaf infusion. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of papaya leaf infusion on induction time and sedation time as a natural anesthetic for rock lobsters, as well as to determine the optimal concentration of papaya leaf infusion for use as a natural anesthetic. This research utilized an experimental design with three treatments: P1 (100 g/L), P2 (150 g/L), and P3 (200 g/L). The data collected included induction time, sedation time, and the survival rate of lobsters during the recovery period. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including ANOVA and the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) test. The results indicated that varying concentrations significantly affected (P<0.05) induction time but did not significantly affect (P>0.05) sedation time. The induction time for treatments P1 and P2 was significantly different from that of P3. The survival rates were 100% for treatments P1 and P2, while P3 had a survival rate of 77.77%. The optimal concentration of papaya leaf infusion was found to be P1, which induced anesthesia in the lobsters within 50 minutes and 16 seconds, with a recovery time of 2 minutes, and a 100% survival rate
