Abstract

Daerah penangkapan ikan layang selalu dalam keadaan berubah dan berpindah tempat dengan cara mengikuti perubahan kondisi lingkungan yang secara alamiah ikan akan memilih habitat yang lebih sesuai. Nelayan Pidie Jaya dalam menentukan daerah penangkapan ikan hanya dengan cara melihat tanda-tanda alam yang dipelajari secara turun temurun, sehingga dengan cara tersebut kurang efektif dalam usaha penangkapan ikan. Penggunaan satelit remote sensing telah terbukti memainkan peran kunci dalam pengkajian oseanografi perikanan untuk memprediksi daerah penangkapan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah hasil tangkapan dan ukuran panjang ikan layang, menentukan penyebaran klorofil-a dan suhu permukaan laut. Membuat peta pendugaan daerah penangkapan ikan layang potensial di perairan Aceh sekitar Pidie Jaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan cara mengikuti langsung ke daerah penangkapan ikan dan wawancara terhadap nahkoda kapal mini purse seine. Konsentrasi kandungan klorofil-a di lokasi penangkapan ikan selama penelitian berkisar antara 0,13-0,85 mg/m3 dan rata-rata 0,35 mg/m3, sedangkan suhu permukaan laut dengan nilai rata-rata 29,25°C. Ukuran panjang ikan layang yang tertangkap selama bulan September sampai November berkisar antara 17,9-21,9 cm dengan panjang rata-rata yaitu 19,7 cm. Daerah penangkapan ikan layang potensial berada pada laut lepas pantai yang berjarak dari Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) ke daerah penangkapan ikan > 6 mil laut.

Abstract

Determination of small pelagic fishing ground could be done by estimate the water condition where the fish habitat life occurred. The indicator that used to estimate the presence of the fish was to lookedat the sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a. The aim of this study were to see the relation between chlorophyll-a and the catch of small pelagic fishes,and to determine the potential fishing ground of small pelagic fish in Pidie Jaya waters.  The concentration of chlorophyll-aobtained from MODIS satellite by using SeaDas processing software. The data result of small pelagic fishes catches was obtained by observed the landed fish in PPI Meureudu, Pidie Jaya district. The total small pelagic fish catches on February and March 2016 reached 35.258 kg. Relation between the catches and chlorophyll-a showed the higher concentration of chlorophyll-a tends to increased the catch of small pelagic fish as it proved the phytoplankton play the important role as the main producer in ocean food chain. The potential fishing ground during February and March 2016 showed at point A, B and E, while potential fishing ground on February and March 2016 occured on point C and D, and less potential on point F.  Penentuan daerah penangkapan ikan pelagis kecil dapat dilakukan dengan cara pendugaan kondisi perairan, yang menjadi habitat ikan tersebut. Salah satu indikator yang dapat digunakan untuk pendugaan keberadaan ikan tersebut di perairan adalah suhu permukaan laut (SPL) dan klorofill-a. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan klorofil-a dengan hasil tangkapan ikan,dan menentukan daerah potensial penangkapan ikan pelagis kecil di perairan Pidie Jaya. Konsentrasi klorofil-adiperoleh dari satelit MODIS dandiprosesdengansofware SeaDas. Hasil tangkapan ikan pelagis kecil diperoleh dari pendaratan ikan di PPI Meureudu kabupaten Pidie Jaya.Hubungan hasil tangkapan dengan klorofil-a menunjukkankecenderungan konsentrasi klorofil-a yang tinggiakanmeningkatkan hasil tangkapan ikan pelagis kecil.Daerah potensial untuk penangkapan ikan pelagis kecil selama periode bulan Februari dan Maret 2016 terdapat di wilayah penangkapan pada titik A, B, dan E, DPI yang sedang potensial pada bulan Februari dan Maret 2016 terjadi pada titik C dan D, dan yang kurang potensial terdapat pada titik F.

Abstract

Antioxidants play role in increasing the resistance of the human body, including from virus attacks and weather changes. Antioxidants are found in fruit and are influenced by secondary metabolites formed in the fruit. Along with the level of fruit ripeness, will affect the composition of secondary metabolites, thus affecting antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine the yield and ripeness level of Nypa fruit with high antioxidant activity. The yield of old nipa fruit pulp is higher than young nipa fruit pulp, 15.26% and 9.82% respectively, The antioxidant activity of old Nypa palm juice is in the high category, with an IC50 value of 59.2 ppm and the antioxidant activity of young Nypa palm fruit is in the medium category with an IC50 value of 48 ppm. Antioxidants in old Nypa fruit are better than in young Nypa fruit

Abstract

Kecamatan Kuala Pesisir merupakan wilayah barat selatan Provinsi Aceh yang mempunyai keragaman hayati (bio-diversity) potensi ikan hasil tangkapan sangat tinggi (KKP Aceh 2015). Ikan-ikan demersal yang telah mulai di lakukan pengolahan ikan asin antara lain ikan kembung, ikan kambing-kambing, ikan kakap. Selain itu pada penelitian Riski et al. (2017) melaporkan bahwa pada sentral pengolahan ikan asin daerah Leupung Aceh Besar sebanyak 50% sampel yang diuji melebihi ambang batas SNI 8273:2016. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terutama pada pelaku UMKM pengoalahan ikan asin guna untuk memberi pelatihan sehingga harapannya dengan adanya pengabdian ini bisa menambah pengetahuan lebih baik dalam proses pengolahan ikan. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap yakni, melakukan sosialisasi Sosialisasi dalam bentuk Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Pelatihan Pembuatan Para-para, Pelatihan Penggaraman Ikan Asin Lumi-lumi dan Pelatihan Penggaraman Ikan Asin Lumi-lumi. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukan bahwa, adanya peningkatan ketrampilan pelaku UMKM Ikan Asin terkait dengan teknik pembuatan para-para sebagai media penjemuran ikan asin. Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan teknik penggaraman dan pembuatan ikan asin lumi-lumi. Adanya antusias pelaku UMKM dan masyarakat Desa Langkak untuk melanjukan pembuatan ikan asin lumi-lumi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth phase of Skeletonema costatum with different concentrations of Guillard fertilizer and to determine the effect of Guillard fertilizer concentration on the quality of the growth medium for Skeletonema costatum.  This study used an experimental research method with 4 stages of research, namely preparation of Guillard fertilizer, preparation of aqueous media, preparation of Skeletonema costatum culture and observation of the growth phase.  Data from testing the parameters for measuring water quality were analyzed descriptively.  The design used in this study was RAL with 4 treatments, namely without guillard fertilizer (NP0), BPBAP dose of guillard fertilizer (NP1), increased dose of guillard fertilizer (NP2), and reduced dose of guillard fertilizer (NP3) with 4 repetitions.  test.  The results showed that the doses of NP0, NP2 and NP3 had less optimal growth compared to the NP1 dose where the density was optimal according to SNI 4958:2015.  The average pH quality is 7-9, the average DO quality is 3-7, the average salinity quality is 29-35 ppt, the average temperature quality is 20-30ºC and the average light quality is 500-1200 lux.Keywords: Skeletonema costatum, Guillard, Growth, Water Quality Parameters

Abstract

FADs is an instrument that function as a place to gathered fish, so that make it easier for fisherman to find fish. This study aims to determine the diversity index, dominance and weight and length of the catch on local resources. The result of this study are expected to provide information on the types of fish caught using hand line the research was conducted from August to December 2022 in the waters of Kuala Daya, Aceh Jaya Regency. Data collected in the form of data on the number of fish (tail), weight (gr), length (cm). The data collection method used was experimental fishing for 4 trips at two observation stations. During the study the number of catches obtained was 14 fish consisting of 1 phylum (chordata), 1 class (actonopterygii), 1 order, 4 families and 7 species, while the fish species are malabar trevally (Carangoides malabaricus), yellowtail scad (Atule mate), yellowstripe scad (Selaroides leptolepis), orange spotted grouper (Ephinephelus coioides), moontail bullseye (Priachantus hamrur), malabar blood snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus), narrow barred Spanish mackerels (Scomberomorus commerson). The result showed that the diversity index values on FADs 1 and FADs 2 were 1.33 and 1.21 which were included in the relatively medium criteria. The dominance index values on both FADs are 2 and 2 which are included in the relatively high criteria, and the weight of fish caught on both FADs is 2.72 kilogram and 1.91 kilogram and the average length of fish caught on both FADs ranges from 14,4 cm – 40,25 cm and 20,9 – 40,5 cm.

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country with abundant fishery and marine products. Indonesian fishery products in 2015 reached 14.79 tonnes. Tuna (Euthynnus affinis) is one of the most important pelagic fish species found in Indo-Pacific waters living in the neritic area. Its geographical distribution includes the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. The results of the ALT test on tuna obtained a variety of colony counts. This research uses a descriptive method. Descriptive, namely research conducted to determine the value of a characteristic or number, either one characteristic or more without making comparisons, to relate it to other quantities. Research is conducted with the main objective of making a picture of a situation objectively (actual situation). Tuna taken from 3 different traders obtained the ALT value of sample A1 which was 2.6 x 104/gr, sample A2 which was 2.4 x 104/gr, and sample A3 which was 4.0 x 103/gr for 48 hours with temperature 350o C. After testing it can be concluded that the total plate number (ALT) of bacteria found in tuna is in accordance with the SNI 2332.3: 2015 standard concerning tuna ALT, which is 106.

Abstract

Tuna contains high protein so that it fulfills the nutritional needs of the human body. Tuna is a marine fish that contains omega 3, vitamins, protein and minerals. This study aims to determine the effect of the freezing technique of tuna (Euthynnus affinis) on organoleptic at PT.Aceh Lampulo Jaya Bahari using a temperature of -30oC to -40oC with a freezing time of about 8 - 12 hours. Methods This study used a qualitative method consisting of research on the first with the influence of the technique of freezing tuna (Euthynnus affinis) with a comparison of 3 freezing methods, the second stage carried out an organoleptic analysis (ice layer, dehydration, discoloration, appearance, smell, texture.) on frozen tuna. The results of the value of the ice layer showed that the most preferred value by the analyst was the value of the semi contact plate freezer 7 ± 0.67 and cold storage 7 ± 0.67, the dehydration indicated the value most preferred by the analyst was the value of the semi contact plate freezer 7 ± 0.67 and cold storage 7 ± 0.67. The result of the value of dehydration shows the value most preferred by the analyst is the value of the semi contact plate freezer 7 ± 0.78. The result of the value of the appearance shows the value most preferred by the analyst is the value of air blast freezer 7 ± 0.50. the result of the value of the appearance shows the most preferred value by the analyst is the value of the air blast freezer 7 ± 0.50, the result of the value of the odor shows the most preferred value by the analyst is the value of the semi contact plate freezer 7 ± 0.41 and cold storage 7 ± 0.41, the value of the texture shows the most preferred value by the analyst is the value of air blast freezer 7 ± 0.25, semi contact plate freezer 7 ± 0.25 and cold storage 7 ± 0.25.

Abstract

The nutritional content of fish is very high in protein and omega 3 fatty acids, but there is still little interest in eating fish among children. The government is trying to prevent stunting by launching the GEMARIKAN (Gemar Makan Ikan/Fond of eating fish) program to fulfill nutrition sourced from fish. Fish are generally less popular because their shape makes them uninteresting and boring, so interest in eating fish decreases. Housewives are encouraged to play a role in fulfilling children's nutrition through fish intake using various techniques, one of which is processing fish into a variety fish-based food. Alternative fish-based food is made to attract families to consume it by empowering groups of housewives and young women. This training aimed to educate about alternative fish-based food and recommend business opportunities to support additional family income. Training activities were carried out through mentoring and counseling for 20 housewives and young women from Gampong Blang Padang, by forming small groups and providing education regarding techniques for processing fish into dimsum products, fish sticks and fish nuggets. The results of the training showed that housewives and young women were able to make more varied fish preparations. Apart from that, participants received counseling about the benefits of fish for health, not only as an ingredient in making various types of processed fish food that have nutritional and economic value.

Abstract

Rumpon dikabupaten aceh jaya, terdapat berbagai permasalahan adat terutamanya dengan sering hilangnya rumpon, pengambilan hasil rumpon tanpa sepengetahuan pemiliknya jika diletakkan di laut, untuk mengatasi permasalah yang ada penulis mencoba untuk melakukan pengapdian tentang perancangan rumpon dan juga disertakan qanun atau hukum adat yang dikontrol penuh oleh panglima laot setempat, sehingga memudahkan panglima laot untuk kedepannya dalam pengelolaan rumpon.Tujuan dari pengapdian ini antara lain menerapkan inovasi rumpon ataktor ijuk untuk meingkatkan hasil tangkapan nelayan beserta dengan penegakan qanun atau hokum adat dalam pengelolaan rumpon. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pendampingan dan edukasi nelayan dalam penerapan pembuatan rumpon untuk masyarakat nelayan Desa Gle Jong Kabupaten Aceh jaya atau Lhok Kuala Daya antara lain dilakukan Focus Discusi Group (FGD), Pelatihan pembuatan, Pendampingan. Kegiatan program yang dilakukan dengan bermitra nelayan ini melibatkan banyak pihak, mulai dari DKP, panglima laot kabupaten, panglima loat lhok dan para nelayan disetiap kecamatan yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh. Hal yang urgen didiskusikan adalah mencari alternatif yang paling efektif dalam inovasi rumpon berbasis pengelolaa adat secara sustainable.Pengabdian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat menambah ketrampilan teknis untuk nelayan dalam pembuatan rumpon atraktor ijuk dan juga mengukuhkan qanun/hukum adat terhadap pengelolan rumpon sehingga peran dari Panglima Laot semakin berperan. Keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan masyarakat nelayan tidak terjadi lagi permasalahan terhadap pengelolaan dan mendapatkan ilmu inovasi rumpon untuk dapat diimplimentasikan oleh masyarakat nelayan dengan meningkatkan hasil tangkapannya
