Maarif Journal of Education, Madrasah Innovation and Aswaja Studies (MJEMIAS) is the official journal of Lembaga Pendidikan Maarif Nahdlatul Ulama Kabupaten Malang, Indonesia. This MJEMIAS focuses on developing studies on education, madrasah innovation and Aswaja (moderate Islamic education) studies from various perspectives. This journal encourages the dynamics and progress of the quality of madrasa education under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama. Therefore, this journal invites the meeting point of researchers from different disciplines: interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary approaches. This journal serves as a bi-annual journal. It publishes articles in June and December.

Abstract

The santri each have their own distinct identity thanks to the sarong. In addition, at the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan Islamic boarding school, the sarong is one of the media, a means of preserving and developing character education that always preserves Islamic culture and religious souls.With a material culture perspective as a concept of local culture and national heritage, "Sarong" also has non-material values like symbols of students, social class, kindness, and honor.Sarongs of varying sizes, colors, and designs influence people, society, and even national identity.The sarong has even become a part of Indonesian religion's diversity and a symbol.Truly zeroing in on and developing a sarong culture should be viewed as a work to keep up with and encourage the educating of individuals, so there will be a balance of disciplinary culture in completing their exercises as residents and understudies specifically.As a result, this paper employs a strategy or point of view:the idea of Material Culture, the perspective of social classes, and the integration of character education.This article's writing method is a literature review and content analysis of various sources.The study's findings demonstrate that, in an Islamic boarding school setting with strong historical significance, the sarong can function as a symbol of character education and identity.

Abstract

This article examines the differences in methods of spiritual education for students between two Islamic boarding schools, namely the Mansyaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School and the Miftahul Ulum Putri/PPRU 4 Ganjaran Gondanglegi Malang Islamic Boarding School. To examine this article, a qualitative comparative study method was used. The data collection process uses observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this research indicate that the spiritual education methods applied at the Mansyaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School are 1) gathering or congregation which consists of congregational prayer activities, book deliberation, maqom pilgrimage, tahlil reading, and yellow book recitation; 2) humming or Al-Insyad which consists of reading the Prophet's birthday and diba', srakalan, reciting burdah, and reciting Asmaul Husna prayers. Meanwhile, the spiritual education methods applied at the Miftahul Ulum Putri/PPRU IV Islamic Boarding School are 1) the Al-Sahr method (not sleeping at night) which includes congregational evening prayers; 2) the method of gathering or congregation which consists of congregational prayer activities, reading ratibul haddad, reading wirdhul lathif, majlis dalailul khoirot, recitation of the yellow book, as well as recitation of the Al-Qur'an and community pilgrimage; 3) the humming method or Al-Insyad which consists of reading maulid and burdah.

Abstract

خلفية هذا البحث هي أن العديد من الطلاب يجدون صعوبة في استيعاب وفهم القراءة التي قرأوها في تعليم اللغة العربية. لذلك هناك حاجة إلى استراتيجيات تعليم جيدة ومناسبة من أجل إنتاج أقصى قدر من التعليم في تحسين جودة تعليم اللغة العربية، وأحدها مهارة القراءة. يهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة ما هي استراتيجيات التعليم المبنية على مهارة القراءة في اللغة العربية وما هي استراتيجيات القراءة الفعالة. منهجية البحث المستخدمة في هذا البحث هي المنهج الوصفي النوعي، وهو نوع من أنواع البحث المكتبي. وتظهر نتائج هذا البحث أن هناك عدة استراتيجيات تعليمية تعتمد على مهارة القراءة في اللغة العربية، وهي: ١) قراءة موجحة لدراسة النصوص باستخدام الرسوم البيانية أو المخططات. ٢) مذكرات التلامذة لزيادة نشاط الطالب وشجاعته. ٣) القراءة الجهرية لمساعدة الطلاب على تقديم الفهم. ٤) اخزينة النص لتشجيع الطلاب على التعليم النشط. ٥) التلخيص الجماعي لمساعدة الطلاب على التفاعل مع بعضهم البعض في التعبير عن أفكارهم. ٦) الترتيب النص لتحديد القدرات القرائية لدى الطلاب. هناك عدة إستراتيجيات قراءة فعالة وهي: ١) Empty Outline لتدريب قدرة الطلاب على التعبير عن محتوى ما يقرؤه في شكل جدول. ٢)  Analysisلتدريب الطلاب على فهم محتوى القراءة من خلال إيجاد الفكرة الرئيسية والأفكار الداعمة لها. ٣) Snow Bolling للحصول على الكثير من المدخلات من الأصدقاء. ٤)  Broken square/Textلإعادة تجميع القراءات التي تم تقطيعها مسبقًا إلى أجزاء. ٥)  Index Card Matchلتعليم الكلمات أو الجمل مع الشريك.

Abstract

خلفية هذا البحث هي انخفاض قدرة الطلاب على قراءة وفهم النصوص العربية. لأن عملية التعليم مملة. أحد الجهود للتغلب على ذلك هو استخدام تقنية CIRC ، ويهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة: 1) ما هو حقيقة تقنية CIRC 2)كيفية تطبيق تقنية (CIRC) في تعليم اللغة العربية. 3) ما هي العوامل التي تؤثر على نجاح تقنية CIRC في زيادة فهم الطلاب لمحتوى قراءة النص العربي. يستخدم الباحث في هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي النوعي لنوع البحث المكتبي. نتائج هذا البحث هي: 1) تقنية CIRC هي تقنية لتعليم مهارات القراءة مع مهارات الكتابة. 2) في تطبيق تقنية CIRC، يقوم المعلم بتشكيل مجموعات مكونة من 4-6 طلاب، ويطلب من كل طالب أن يروي قصة عما يفهمه فيما يتعلق بموضوع الدرس ويتم تسجيلها في شكل ملخص، ثم يقرأ أحد الأعضاء الملخص بصوت عالٍ ، ويقوم الطلاب بتدوين ملاحظات المفردات. 3) هناك العديد من العوامل التي تؤثر على نجاح هذه التقنية في زيادة فهم الطلاب لمحتوى القراءة وهي أن هذه التقنية تتحدى الطلاب للعمل معًا، والتعليم بشكل مستقل (دون مساعدة المعلم)، والنشاط، بحيث يتم تشكيل الفهم وخبرات التعليم ذات معنى.

Abstract

This article discusses the job satisfaction of teaching staff at Islamic Education Institutions, what things need to be considered in triggering job satisfaction. Different categories of job satisfaction include satisfaction with salary, promotions, supervision satisfaction, co-worker satisfaction, satisfaction with the job itself. , altruism, status, and environment. The research method used in this article is a qualitative research method with a library research approach. The library research approach itself is an approach to qualitative research methods that takes data from reading media. The results of this research are factors that can influence teacher job satisfaction, starting from psychological factors, social factors, and financial factors.

Abstract

This study aims to examine organizational structure from various perspectives, with a specific focus on Islamic education, through a literature review approach. The definition of organizational structure encompasses the division of work, determination of authority, and relationships among individuals within the organization, as discussed by various experts. Key elements addressed include work specialization, departmentalization, chain of command, span of control, centralization and decentralization, and formalization. The study also identifies differences in organizational structures, particularly between mechanistic models, which are formal and bureaucratic, and organic models, which are more flexible and participative. Types of organizational structures reviewed include line, line and staff, functional, line and functional, matrix, and committee organizations. Additionally, this research highlights the importance of developing organizational structures in response to changes in business strategies, company growth, and external regulations. The findings indicate that adapting organizational structures to environmental changes and operational needs is crucial for enhancing organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Using the literature review method, this study concludes that an adaptive and integrative approach to managing organizational structures, especially in the context of Islamic education, can positively contribute to achieving organizational goals and improving management quality.

Abstract

Community involvement in the education sector is facilitated through the Madrasah Committee organization established by each educational institution. This organization aims to ensure that community aspirations and initiatives are channeled, as well as to create responsibility, community participation, and a transparent, accountable and democratic atmosphere in the implementation of education. To ensure that this goal does not just become a slogan, it is necessary to optimize the role of the Madrasah Committee so that it can make a real contribution to education and improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Emotional Intelligence in the Success of Arabic Language: An Exploration of the Role of Emotional Intelligence in Enhancing Language Skills and Cultural Understanding. This study aims to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and the success of Arabic language learners. Emotional intelligence is a vital component in the process of language acquisition, as it enables individuals to navigate the complexities of language and cultural nuances effectively. The study focuses on the role of emotional intelligence in enhancing language skills and cultural understanding among Arabic language learners. It explores the impact of emotional intelligence on language proficiency, vocabulary acquisition, and cultural competence, and examines the strategies that learners employ to manage their emotions and overcome language barriers. The findings of this study have implications for language teaching and learning, highlighting the importance of incorporating emotional intelligence training into language education programs to improve learner outcomes and enhance cross-cultural communication.

Abstract

Arabic language education faces a number of challenges in the modern era that affect its future prospects. These challenges include linguistic, curricular, and sociological issues. However, by identifying and understanding these challenges, there are promising prospects for improving Arabic language education in the future. Efforts to integrate technology into learning, expand access to learning resources, improve the quality of teaching, and promote the importance of Arabic in a global context are steps that can be taken. Nevertheless, Arabic language education remains relevant and has important value, especially among Muslims. By continuing to adapt to the development of the times, Arabic will continue to have important and relevant values ​​throughout time.

Abstract

This research is a development study to create teaching materials to compile descriptive texts that contain moral values for students of SMP grade VII An-Nur Hidayatullah Talok. This teaching material is made based on the principles of creating teaching materials. In addition, the language of the material is adjusted to the student's level of thinking, so that students no longer have difficulty in writing descriptive texts. The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of students' achievement or learning outcomes in the description text material. And an interest in moral values can arise even in a small environment such as the home environment through a lot of conversation and politeness. This type of research uses the research and development method (Research and Development), which is a method that produces a product and then tests the effectiveness of the product. This study uses the Borg & Gall model which is clarified into seven stages including preliminary study, planning, product development, product validation, design revision, product trial and revision. This research develops teaching materials in learning to write valueloaded description texts for junior high school grade VII. The results of the research on the validation of media experts obtained a percentage of 83.75%. Validation of material experts gets a percentage of 90%. The results of the small group trial got a percentage of 88.4% while the results of the large group trial got a percentage of 93.8%.
