Abstract

This study was conducted through an internship at PT. XYZ, focusing on a comparative analysis of the First In, First Out (FIFO) and Last In, First Out (LIFO) inventory management methods for all-purpose flour. The background of this study is the company's need to manage inventory of perishable ingredients, so an effective inventory management strategy is needed to maintain product quality, achieve cost efficiency, and minimize the risk of quality deterioration. The study aims to analyze the impact of implementing FIFO and LIFO methods on inventory valuation, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and the resulting gross profit margin. The methods used include direct observation in the field, interviews with relevant parties, and analysis of the company's production and inventory data during the research period. The results of the study show that, although the physical quantity of inventory is the same for both FIFO and LIFO methods, there are significant differences in the ending inventory value and HPP, which then affect the gross profit margin. The FIFO method yields a higher ending inventory value and a lower HPP compared to the LIFO method, resulting in a higher gross profit and making it more suitable for perishable products. Based on these findings, the FIFO method is considered more optimal for implementation at PT. XYZ to increase cost efficiency, maintain product quality, and support the company's ongoing profitability.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in many sectors, including those operating around the University of Jambi campus. The purpose of this study is to identify the challenges faced by MSMEs after the pandemic and to explore how they can adapt to changes in the business environment. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and collects data through interviews and observations with MSME participants around the campus area. The findings show that the main problems faced by MSMEs include a decline in purchasing power, capital constraints, and limited digital marketing capabilities. However, there are also emerging opportunities, such as growing interest in local products and ongoing digital transformation. The study concludes that the success of MSMEs after the pandemic largely depends on their ability to innovate, improve product quality, and utilize technology.

Abstract

Not all small businesses are able to remain sustainable even when offering similar products, prices, and marketing strategies, as external conditions particularly the surrounding environment and spatial layout often play a decisive role in performance. This study examines the evolution of the “ASA” Convenience Store from 2009 to 2020, which initially grew due to its strategic proximity to a college campus, student housing, and a morning market, but experienced a sharp decline in customer traffic following the closure of the campus. Using a descriptive-analytical method and a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and historical documentation, and analyzed with reference to Central Place Theory (Christaller, 1933)  and small business layout principles. The findings indicate that while strategic location and effective spatial planning can enhance customer appeal and operational efficiency, these advantages are dynamic and must be continually adjusted to changing socioeconomic conditions, underscoring the importance of adaptive strategies for sustaining small business continuity.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has created new economic opportunities through edupreneurship carried out by content creators. In this context, edupreneurship is not only focused on entertainment but also on the management and utilization of knowledge as an economic product. Recent data show that the global creator economy market value is projected to increase from USD 125.11 billion in 2024 to USD 160.91 billion in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.4%, and is expected to reach USD 436.71 billion by 2029. The purpose of this study is to examine edupreneurship strategies used by content creators in transforming knowledge into economic opportunities and to measure the effectiveness of its supporting factors. The research method applied is descriptive quantitative, by analyzing secondary data on market growth trends, economic value projections, and literature-based surveys. The results indicate that the most effective strategies include developing creative educational content, diversifying monetization models through digital courses and premium subscriptions, and collaborating with educational institutions and corporations. Quantitative analysis shows a positive correlation between the improvement of educational content quality and the growth of digital economic opportunities. In conclusion, content creators who consistently implement edupreneurship strategies can make a significant contribution to strengthening knowledge-based economies in the era of digital globalization.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital transactions has facilitated interactions between businesses and consumers, but it also poses the risk of bad faith consumers. Bad faith consumers are those who intentionally exploit digital systems to harm businesses, through actions such as identity fraud, misuse of return mechanisms, or manipulation of product reviews and ratings. This phenomenon demands adequate legal protection to prevent businesses from experiencing financial or reputational losses. This article analyzes aspects of legal protection for businesses in digital transactions in Indonesia, based on Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and its amendments, and provisions in the Civil Code concerning contracts and defaults. Protection strategies discussed include consumer identity verification, the development of clear transaction terms and conditions, the use of digital contracts, and the implementation of transaction security and monitoring systems. Law enforcement challenges, such as easily manipulated electronic evidence and slow legal procedures, are also examined. In conclusion, a combination of legal protection and technology-based preventive measures is key for businesses to conduct digital transactions safely, effectively, and sustainably.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain how pop-up storybooks can support the development of language and imagination in early childhood. Its main focus is to understand how the three-dimensional visual elements in pop-up books attract children’s attention and influence their ability to comprehend stories and express ideas. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various sources that discuss the use of visual media in children’s reading activities. The results show that pop-up books can increase children’s interest in stories, enrich vocabulary, and help them recognize the storyline more clearly. In addition, the interactive visual elements provide a more vivid imaginative experience, allowing children to respond to the story more creatively. The impact of using pop-up books can be seen in children’s growing confidence in speaking, storytelling, and expressing simple opinions. Therefore, pop-up storybooks can serve as an effective medium to support the development of language and imagination in early childhood learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of edupreneurship values in the development and management of the English language course institution, English Center Vocation Kajen. As a pioneering course in Pekalongan Regency, English Center Vocation Kajen integrates entrepreneurial principles with educational values to expand community access to English language skills. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving the institution’s leadership and instructors. The results indicate that the implementation of edupreneurship values includes institutional independence, innovation in learning services, social responsibility, and business sustainability. English Center Vocation Kajen manages its operations independently without government assistance, maintaining transparent financial management and adaptive marketing strategies through social media and community-based promotion. The principle of edupreneurship is reflected in human resource management that emphasizes professionalism, creativity, and humanistic service toward learners. Beyond profit orientation, the institution prioritizes social benefits through cross-subsidy policies, free training programs, and partnerships with schools to support equitable learning opportunities. Therefore, the implementation of edupreneurship values at English Center Vocation Kajen demonstrates an effective and sustainable model of non-formal educational management with a strong social spirit, which can serve as a replicable example for other educational institutions seeking to empower communities through education.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company in the automotive sector that produces vehicles and their components. Its production process generates hazardous and toxic (B3) waste classified as fast moving due to its high volume and frequency. This study aims to determine the standard time for the management process of iron gram B3 waste at PT XYZ. Observations were conducted over 15 cycles, with time recorded at each stage using the stopwatch time study method and adjustments based on the Westinghouse technique. The study was carried out across eight stages of the B3 waste management process at PT XYZ, involving calculations of cycle time, normal time, and standard time. The analysis revealed that the total standard time for the entire process is 42 minutes and 18 seconds. Establishing this standard time supports improved efficiency, prevents waste accumulation, and creates a more structured waste management system that can be periodically evaluated.
