Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the intensive halaqah method as an effort to strengthen Qur'an memorization among students at Jilussalamah al-Islami Islamic Boarding School. The background of this research arises from a common phenomenon in pesantren, where some students struggle to maintain consistency in memorization due to weak time management, limited methods, and insufficient personal guidance. The intensive halaqah method was chosen because of its advantages in creating a conducive, systematic learning environment and emphasizing collaboration between teachers and students. This study employed a qualitative-descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects were tahfiz students who participated in intensive halaqah sessions for one semester. The findings revealed that this method enhanced the quality of memorization, accelerated target achievement, and strengthened the students' spiritual motivation. Furthermore, the strong social interaction within the halaqah fostered a sense of solidarity and mutual support among the students. These findings highlight the significance of methodological innovations in Qur'anic learning to produce proficient and ethically grounded Qur'an memorizers.

Abstract

Psychology laboratory assistants play a strategic role in supporting the student learning process, not only as facilitators of practicum activities but also as mentors and role models. However, initial observations revealed that interpersonal competencies, particularly in effective communication, teamwork, conflict management, empathy, and emotional intelligence, remain suboptimal. This community service activity aimed to improve the interpersonal competencies of laboratory assistants through psychoeducation based on experiential learning. The methods employed included interactive lectures, brainstorming, ice breaking, games, role play, and reflective discussions. The participants were 33 psychology laboratory assistants. The results indicated an increase in participants’ theoretical understanding, practical skills, and reflective awareness regarding the importance of interpersonal competence in their roles. Participants also demonstrated personal commitment to applying interpersonal skills in laboratory activities. Thus, psychoeducation proved effective as a strategy to strengthen the capacity of laboratory assistants in creating a conducive, professional, and collaborative learning environment.

Abstract

Drug abuse poses a significant threat to the younger generation. National Narcotics Agency (2023) data indicates 312,000 users among students. This community service initiative aims to enhance the understanding and preventive capacity of students at Mercubaktijaya Padang University regarding the dangers of drugs through socialization of the P4GN program (Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking), supporting the realization of a BERSINAR Campus (Drug-Free Campus). The method utilized an educational intervention based on interactive lectures and participatory discussions, involving 150 students. Effectiveness was evaluated using a one-group pretest-posttest design with standardized questionnaires, analyzed statistically using a paired sample t-test. Results indicated a significant increase in knowledge (p<0.05). The proportion of participants with "Excellent" understanding rose from 15% to 68%. Furthermore, 90% of participants reported increased awareness of legal risks, and 85% expressed commitment to actively engage in prevention efforts within the campus environment. In conclusion, structured P4GN socialization proved effective in enhancing student literacy and fostering critical attitudes. This activity contributes to strengthening the prevention pillar at the community level. For sustainability, the establishment of a university-level P4GN task force and the integration of this material into student programs are recommended.

Abstract

This training on the completion and reporting of lecturers’ workload was motivated by the limited understanding among some lecturers in managing, documenting, and reporting their Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities in accordance with existing regulations. Inaccuracies in completing and reporting the Lecturer Workload (BKD) often lead to delays in data verification and overall performance evaluation. This training aimed to improve lecturers’ understanding and skills in systematically and accurately completing and reporting their BKD in line with the latest guidelines. The participants consisted of 35 lecturers from various study programs at INISMA Jambi. The implementation methods included lectures, interactive discussions, BKD completion simulations, and technical assistance using an online reporting application. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ ability to understand the components of the Tri Dharma and to prepare BKD reports in accordance with the format set by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). Overall, the training proved effective in enhancing accuracy, timeliness, and lecturers’ awareness of the importance of BKD reporting as an instrument for improving academic performance and professional development.
