Abstract

This study aims to analyse Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance, which includes: 1) analysing the performance of ESG implementation through disclosures in the sustainability report, 2) analysing challenges in ESG implementation, and 3) analysing strategies in facing challenges in ESG implementation. This research uses qualitative methods in analysing ESG performance through disclosures based on the International Council on Mining & Metal (ICMM) Principles framework, challenges faced in implementing and improving ESG performance, and strategies applied to improve ESG performance. The subjects of this study are coal mining companies (PT A and PT B) and mineral mining companies (PT C and PT D), which were selected by purposive sampling, taking into account the largest capitalisation in the mineral mining and coal mining sub-sector companies, which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), and represent mineral and coal mining companies, both private and state-owned. The results showed that in the disclosure of the performance of the ICMM principles in the sustainability report from 2018 to 2022, it is known that the highest disclosure is the performance indicator on Principle 5 - Occupational Health and Safety (75%) and the lowest performance indicator on Principle 3 - Human Rights (30%). The challenges in ESG implementation are the lack of adoption of several international standards and guidelines for corporate social management. This study also found that the presence of top management support, the existence of clear policies and roadmaps for ESG implementation, a clear organisational structure, and the preparation of competent human resources are strategies to improve ESG performance.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the partnership model between sugarcane farmers and PT Jhonlin Batu Mandiri in Bombana Regency and to analyze the factors that influence sugarcane farmers' decisions to participate in the partnership with PT Jhonlin Batu Mandiri. The research was conducted from June 2021 to June 2024, involving a sample of 48 farmers, comprising 19 partner farmers and 29 non-partner farmers, determined using Slovin's formula. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The partnership model between sugarcane farmers and PT Jhonlin Batu Mandiri was examined using descriptive qualitative analysis with the approach of Miles and Huberman (2014). To analyze the factors influencing the decision of sugarcane farmers to join the partnership with PT. Jhonlin Batu Mandiri, binary logistic regression analysis was employed. The results of the study indicate that: Partnership patterns between sugarcane farmers and PT Jhonlin Batu Mandiri follows the nucleus-plasma pattern. In this pattern, the land used is owned by the plasma farmers. The nucleus company, PT Jhonlin Batu Mandiri, provides production facilities, technical management guidance, assistance with land preparation, provision of seedlings, fertilizers, harvesting labor, and takes on the processing and marketing of the production. The partner farmers are responsible for meeting the company's needs as agreed upon in the contract or agreement. The factors influencing the decisions of sugarcane farmers to join the partnership with PT Jhonlin Batu Mandiri are primarily the size of their land and capital limitations. Other factors, such as age, length of education, farming experience, and the use of agricultural technology, do not significantly impact their decision to enter into the partnership

Abstract

Tourists choose destinations to visit based on the description of the destination. If visitors feel satisfied with the tourist spot, they will visit the destination again and will then provide recommendations to other people. Destination image is not only a destination attribute, but also the overall impression displayed by the destination. The Eka Karya Bali Botanical Gardens is a unique place on the island of Bali that combines botanical research, plant conservation, education, and recreation and has a good rating from tourists as proven by the results of reviews on Google Reviews, many tourists gave positive comments. However, apart from positive reviews, there are also many negative reviews from tourists who have visited the Eka Karya Bali Botanical Gardens due to the environmental conditions being poorly maintained and the prices being quite expensive. Based on this negative assessment, this research was carried out to see the truth about the Eka Karya Bali Botanical Gardens. This research aims to determine the image of the Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden destination among tourists. The data collection technique in this research used a questionnaire, then the sample determination technique used accidental sampling, namely determining respondents based on anyone who was met by chance at the research location. The sample in question was tourists who visited the Eka Karya Bali Botanical Gardens, totaling 240 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive, then hypothesis testing using professional smart PLS 3.0 software. The results of this research conclude that destination image has a significant influence on satisfaction, satisfaction has a significant influence on intention to visit again, destination image has a significant influence on intention to visit again, satisfaction has a significant influence on intention to visit again, and destination image has a significant influence on intention to visit again. through tourist satisfaction.

Abstract

The management of human resources (HR) is a crucial aspect that significantly contributes to the financial performance of a company, especially in the manufacturing industry. This industry, characterized by its labor-intensive and technology-driven nature, requires effective HR management to optimize productivity and operational efficiency. This study aims to assess how various HRM practices, such as recruitment, training, development, and employee retention, influence financial performance. This type of research uses a quantitative approach. This research will investigate the effect of human resource management on financial performance using numerical calculations, so that the data collected will be in the form of numbers (score, ranking, frequency). This data will be analyzed using statistics to answer certain questions or hypotheses, making it a quantitative study. The research subjects were employees of manufacturing companies, with a population of 120 people. The sample is part of the population that is the research subject. From the results of the calculations above, it can be explained that human resource management has a significant and positive effect on financial performance. This can be seen from the calculated significant value of 0.000 which is smaller than the alpha value of 0.05.
