The demand in both the domestic and international markets for chili commodities in the future is expected to increase along with the rising population and income levels, which can impact the income of chili farming and ultimately affect household income. This research aims to analyze the impact of planting bird's eye chili on the rice field bunds on the household income of farmers. This study employs a quantitative method to understand whether and how the additional income from bird's eye chili can enhance the total income of farmers' households. The results of this study indicate that planting bird's eye chili can provide an additional source of income for farmers, thereby increasing their total income. The research results show that the average profit received by chili farming on the rice field embankments is Rp. 1,080,000 per year. Based on the business feasibility calculations, the R/C ratio obtained is 3.9. It can be concluded that chili farming in the rice fields of Benteng Village, Patampanua District, Pinrang Regency is feasible for development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of morality, internal control, and compliance with accounting rules on fraud prevention in village fund management. The research employs a quantitative method with a saturation sampling technique, where the entire population of village officials involved in financial management in the North Tidore District—including village heads, village secretaries, village treasurers, and the heads of the Village Consultative Body (BPD)—was used as the sample. The total sample for this study is 88 individuals. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results indicate that all three variables—morality, internal control, and compliance with accounting rules—significantly influence fraud prevention. Morality plays an essential role in shaping individual integrity, reducing the propensity to commit fraud. Effective internal control also proves to be capable of preventing fraud by establishing a rigorous oversight system. Compliance with accounting rules helps maintain transparency and accountability in financial reporting, ultimately reducing the opportunities for financial manipulation. However, the effectiveness of these three variables is greatly influenced by organizational context and external supervision. In conclusion, morality, internal control, and compliance with accounting rules are key foundations in fraud prevention in village fund management, which must be integrated with sound governance policies and consistent law enforcement.

Abstract

Managing organic waste through composting and eco-enzyme production offers environmental and economic advantages. Composting reduces methane emissions, enhances soil quality, and boosts agricultural yields, while eco-enzymes provide a novel waste management solution. This study compares the added value of food and garden waste in eco-enzyme and compost production, emphasizing their potential for sustainable resource utilization and economic gain. The research involves waste collection, production, quality analysis, and added value assessment. Compost and eco-enzymes are made from various waste compositions, with quality analysis covering nutrient content and enzyme activity. Economic analysis highlights the viability of composting and eco-enzyme production. Despite challenges such as low material content and unexpected water increase with EM4, both methods show promise. Composting yields IDR2,142.86 with a 65% added value ratio, while eco-enzymes earn IDR69,964 with a 94% ratio, offering benefits like room freshening and higher profits.

Abstract

Welfare based on Maqashid Syariah refers to efforts to achieve the primary objectives of Sharia, which are to preserve and protect five aspects of human life: Hifz ad-din, Hifz an-Nafs, Hifz al-'Aql, Hiz an-Nasl, and Hifz al-Mal, while also conducting corn farming in accordance with Sharia financial principles, including syar'i and tabi'i principles. The aim of this research is to provide a deeper understanding of the welfare of corn farmers from the Maqashid Syariah perspective. This study employs a qualitative research method using a grounded theory model. The findings reveal that farmers in Saba, Ipar Bondar Village, achieved higher welfare levels when cultivating rice compared to corn, based solely on material financial assessments. However, by integrating Sharia financial principles and Maqashid Syariah into farming activities and family life, the farmers were able to create holistic and sustainable welfare that brought blessings and goodness to all members of the household.

Abstract

Economic growth is important for every country. A sign that things are improving in a region is good and increasing economic growth. An important part of any country's economy is the tourism industry. One of the main drivers of economic growth in Indonesia is the tourism industry. The tourism sector itself is the strongest and largest sector in Indonesia's economic development efforts compared to other sectors. This is because the tourism industry provides various types of services that can be offered such as the provision of hotels, restaurants, transportation, money changers, tour guides and others. The impact of tourism activities has a great influence on the community around the tourist destination area. The more tourism activities that occur in the area, the more regional income will come in. In addition, the more attractions that an area presents, the more tourists will visit the place. This study uses a quantitative method of multiple linear analysis with variables of the number of tourists, number of hotels, and number of tourist attractions in the provinces of Bali and West Nusa Tenggara in 2011-2021.
