Abstract

This study looks at how strategic alliances affect the marketing performance of logistics companies in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study places particular emphasis on the mediating role of competence trust. Strategic alliances are important to improve operational efficiency and market access in the era of globalization when the logistics industry is increasingly competitive. It is recognized that trust between alliance partners is an important component that can reduce risk and improve communication, which in turn can result in improved marketing performance. Three hypotheses were made by this study: H1 (strategic alliances impact competence trust), H2 (strategic alliances impact marketing performance), and H3 (strategic alliances impact marketing performance). A quantitative survey with Smart PLS analysis was used, involving 60 companies. The results show that competence trust has a significant influence on marketing performance (H1 accepted), but strategic alliances have no significant influence on competence trust and marketing performance (H2 and H3). The results suggest that trust in alliance relationships is critical to improving marketing performance, and recommend further research involving additional variables.

Abstract

This study investigates the perceptions of younger workers towards older workers in Srigonco Village, Malang Regency, Indonesia, amid a demographic shift characterised by a growing aging population. The research examines factors influencing older workers' re-entry into the labour market and the retirement preparedness of younger workers. Findings indicate a dual perception: while many younger workers value older employees for their experience and agricultural knowledge, they simultaneously express concerns about older workers' adaptability to new technologies and physical limitations. Specifically, 62.5% of respondents recognise that financial necessity drives many older workers to remain in the workforce, highlighting significant economic challenges. Moreover, 53.13% agree that older workers face discrimination and biases, which can hinder their employment opportunities. This research underscores the urgent need for inclusive labour market policies that accommodate the unique challenges faced by older workers while fostering collaboration between generations. Despite limitations in sample diversity and potential biases in self-reported data, the study emphasises the importance of intergenerational knowledge transfer for economic sustainability. Future research should adopt longitudinal and qualitative methods to gain deeper insights into the evolving dynamics between older and younger workers, focusing on effective policy interventions to improve employment outcomes for all age groups.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on firm value in Indonesia's mining sector, specifically analyzing publicly listed companies from 2018 to 2022. Utilizing Tobin's Q ratio to measure firm value, the research employs multiple linear regression to explore the interactions among ERM, CSR, and Return on Equity (ROE) as a control variable. Results indicate a significant negative relationship between ERM disclosure and firm value, implying that poor communication of risk management may erode investor confidence. In contrast, CSR reveals a significant positive impact on firm value, reinforcing stakeholder theory's emphasis on addressing economic, social, and environmental issues. The study concludes that while effective CSR strategies can enhance corporate value, current ERM practices may detract from it. Additionally, ROE does not significantly effect firm value, highlighting the need for mining companies to strengthen risk communication and CSR efforts to enhance investor confidence and overall corporate value.

Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 24 software. The results show that accessibility and WOM have a significant influence on visitation interest, both partially and simultaneously. The accessibility variable has a positive and significant effect on visitation interest, with a regression coefficient value of 0.660 and a t-count value of 6.848. The WOM variable also has a positive and significant effect on visitation interest, with a regression coefficient value of 1.051 and a t-count value of 6.970. Simultaneously, these two variables contribute 64.4% to the variation in visitation interest. This study concludes that improving accessibility and WOM can increase tourists' interest in visiting the Kenangan Tourism Destination in Ponokawan Village. Therefore, tourism destination managers need to consider these factors in their destination development and marketing strategies.
