Abstract

With the growing dominance of social media, influencer marketing has become a crucial strategy in shaping consumer trust and purchase intentions. Facetology, a skincare brand active on Instagram, collaborates with mega-influencers to engage its audience. This study investigates the impact of influencer characteristics (i.e., expertise, authenticity, physical attractiveness, and homophily) on customer trust and the subsequent effect of that trust on purchase intention. Grounded in the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory, influencer characteristics are viewed as stimuli, trust as the organism, and purchase intention as the response. A total of 174 Instagram followers of @facetologyofficial in Indonesia were surveyed using a purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The findings show that all four influencer characteristics have significant effects on trust, which in turn influences purchase intention. These findings highlight the importance of credible and attractive influencers in building customer trust and shaping purchase intentions, especially within the Indonesian cosmetics industry.

The study population was unknown so it used the lemeshow formula and obtained a sample size of 86 people according to the criteria (Gen Z). The data analysis method uses simple linear regression by first conducting a classical assumption test. The results showed that there was an effect of the Mobile Legends Online Game: Bang Bang on Interpersonal Communication among Generation Z of 0.286, which means that the use of Online Games by Gen Z contributes to the influence on the high and low (variation in value) on the Interpersonal Communication variable in Gen Z by 28.6%, while the contribution outside the variable of 71.4% of Interpersonal Communication in Gen Z is due to other variables not included in this study..

Abstract

This integrative review explores the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and human resource management (HRM), with a specific focus on ethical considerations, hybrid work adaptations, and employee well-being. Drawing on 50 peer-reviewed studies published between 2014 and 2024, the review synthesizes emerging themes related to how AI technologies are transforming recruitment, employee monitoring, and performance evaluation practices. The findings indicate that while AI enhances HR efficiency, it also raises significant ethical concerns, including algorithmic bias, digital fatigue, and privacy violations. Furthermore, the analysis underscores regional disparities in regulatory approaches, particularly between the Global North and emerging economies such as Indonesia. To address these challenges, a five-stage implementation framework is proposed, emphasizing fairness audits, explainable AI (XAI), and cross-functional governance. This review contributes to the evolving discourse on HRM 4.0 by embedding ethical AI governance within strategic workforce management. Practical insights are provided for organizations, policymakers, and academics seeking to align AI innovations with human-centered values.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of negative workplace gossip on job satisfaction among lecturers, focusing on the role of servant leadership as a mediating factor. The research was conducted at IT&B Campus Medan, with academic lecturers as respondents. Data was collected through both online and offline surveys. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to evaluate the relationships among variables. The results indicate that negative workplace gossip negatively impacts job satisfaction, which can be minimized through servant leadership. Servant leadership was found to play a significant mediating role, improving interpersonal relationships and creating a supportive work environment, thereby enhancing job satisfaction. This study contributes to existing literature by providing empirical evidence of the mediating role of servant leadership in reducing the negative effects of gossip in academic settings, thereby enhancing our understanding of leadership dynamics in higher education institutions.

Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the influence of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Organizational Justice on Institutional Integrity within the Indonesian National Police, with Psychological Safety acting as a mediating variable. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 100 police personnel from various units, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).The results show that SHRM and Organizational Justice significantly enhance both Psychological Safety and Institutional Integrity. Specifically, SHRM had a stronger direct impact on Psychological Safety (β = 0.585) and Institutional Integrity (β = 0.333) compared to Organizational Justice (β = 0.464 and β = 0.233, respectively). Psychological Safety also showed a significant positive effect on Institutional Integrity (β = 0.410), confirming its role as a mediating mechanism. Theoretically, this study contributes to public sector ethics by integrating psychological safety into models of institutional integrity. Practically, it highlights the importance of value-based HR strategies and justice-driven managerial practices in fostering ethical resilience in hierarchical public organizations.

Abstract

This research explores the implementation of tax planning in manufacturing corporations through the phenomenological perspective of tax accountant practitioners. Adopting a qualitative approach with a case study methodology, the investigation involved eight tax accounting practitioners from four different manufacturing entities through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the implementation of tax planning uses a multidimensional strategy with the gross up methodology as the predominant strategy, exploitation of tax incentives, and administration of deferred tax burden. Key challenges include fluctuations in tax regulatory dynamics, complexity of business structures, and limitations on competent human resources. The implementation of tax planning has a positive impact on optimizing effective tax rates and increasing operational cash flow. This research contributes to the development of the tax planning literature and provides practical implications for the optimization of the taxation strategy of manufacturing corporations.

Abstract

This study aims to map and analyze scientific literature related to the concept of teacher performance using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. A total of 25 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2024 were analyzed to identify key themes, theoretical foundations, and practical implications. The results indicate that teacher performance is influenced by a combination of internal factors (such as self-efficacy, stress, and job satisfaction) and external factors (such as principal leadership, organizational climate, and digital transformation). The five key themes identified include: (1) self-efficacy and psychological factors, (2) school leadership and management, (3) job satisfaction and organizational climate, (4) work stress and burnout, and (5) digitalization and adaptation to technology. This synthesis also presents a conceptual model and theoretical-practical implications, which can serve as a basis for developing integrated teacher performance evaluation strategies in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of rice distribution services in the Food Supply and Price Stabilization Program (SPHP) carried out by Perum BULOG Kanwil Yogyakarta through the Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) and Toko Pangan Kita (TPK) distribution networks. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through closed questionnaires distributed to 100 distributors as respondents. The analysis was carried out using the SERVQUAL model which includes five dimensions of service quality: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The results showed that all dimensions of service quality were in the "good" category with an overall average score of 4.14, which reflects the level of distributor satisfaction with BULOG's services. However, the assurance dimension obtained the lowest relative score, indicating the need for improvements in the aspects of trust and competence of officers in maintaining rice quality. The implications of this study are the importance of improving officer training, strengthening communication with distributors, and handling complaints more responsively in order to increase distribution effectiveness and strengthen partner trust in supporting national food security.
