Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Non Performing Loans (NPL) (X1), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) (X2), BOPO (X3), as exogenous variables on Return On Assets (ROA) (Y) as an endogenous variable accompanied by CKPN (Z) as an intervening variable at Bank Pembangunan Kalteng, Kuala Kapuas Branch. This study uses secondary data sourced from the financial statements of the company's bank for the period 2021-2023 obtained through the company's website. The method used in this study is a census using all samples in the population during that period. This study uses the path analysis method to determine the direct and indirect effects between exogenous variables on endogenous variables accompanied by intervening variables processed using the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results of the study indicate that the NPL, LDR and CKPN variables have a negative effect on ROA, while the BOPO variable has a positive effect on ROA. The NPL variable has a negative effect on CKPN, while the LDR and BOPO variables do not affect CKPN. The results of the mediation effect test indicate that the intervening variable CKPN is able to provide an indirect effect on the relationship between NPL and ROA, while the effect of the LDR and BOPO variables on ROA cannot be mediated by CKPN.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of CSR on business performance at Total Energies Tanzania Limited. The research study employed a case study design where Total Energies Tanzania HQ was selected as a case. In this case, the unit of study namely Total Energies Tanzania Limited was used to collect secondary data on the company's CSR practices and its effect on business performance over time. Population of this study was management at Total Energies headquarter with authority to disseminate company’s information about CSR. By reflecting the purpose of the study “Effect of corporate social responsibility on business performance a case of Total Energies Tanzania”, employed a purposive sampling in choosing 5 top management officials at Total Energies Tanzania Limited to be interviewed. The plan of the study was to use both, the primary and secondary data. However, the field data was not collected because the management did not allow it to happen. Time series data were collected for the time period extending from 2018 to 2022 through company annual reports and other sources. Return on equity (ROE) and Return on Sales (ROS) were employed as dependent variables in the time series data analysis. CSR was an independent variable. Liner regression model was employed in order to uncover the connection between CSR and performance of the company. The findings of the study indicated that there was no statistically significant association between education CSR, health CSR, and the business performance of Total Energies. These results suggest that the company's endeavors in education and health CSR did not lead to positive financial outcomes, potentially due to stakeholders' negative perceptions regarding the company's commitment to CSR. It is recommended that companies engaging in CSR activities align these initiatives with their corporate strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.

Abstract

Counterfeiting is a global problem that causes significant economic damage every year. Counterfeit products are made to look like genuine brands to deceive consumers, but they almost always have lower quality and fail to meet the safety standards required of authentic products. Some consumers buy these products unknowingly, while others intentionally purchase them. Indonesia loses IDR trillion due to the trade of counterfeit products. The study aimed to identify the intention to purchase counterfeit products among millennials in Yogyakarta. It considers consciousness and self-congruence as predictors of buying behavior. The study involved 100 respondents through online questionnaires using convenience sampling. Hypothesis testing was conducted using SEM-PLS to answer the research question, and gender was designed as a moderator. The results indicated that actual and functional self-congruence influences the intention to purchase counterfeit products. At the same time, brand and face consciousness do not significantly affect buying intention. The study also found that millennials' purchasing behavior of counterfeit products in Yogyakarta is not moderated by gender. However, further research is needed to examine the role of price perception and product characteristics due to the potential differences in consumer attitudes toward price and product characteristics

Abstract

Tourism is a phenomenon that arises due to the interaction between tourists, service providers/tourism industry, and the government in providing facilities and services that support tourism activities. These various interactions form a system that is interconnected with each other. The tourism system is described as closed, but this model can be used to analyze the crucial components of providing attractiveness to a tourist destination. Kelong Village, with its unique combination of red soil, green sea, and blue sky, presents a special dish that stuns with Kelong Island's beauty. The journey to this charming location involves breaking through a pine forest flanked by lakes and beaches, a challenge heightened by the high humidity. The island's unspoiled mangroves, which grow on the beach, offer a unique fishing experience. The charm of the sunset is also a beauty that tourists can enjoy. It is important to note that the beauty of Kelong Village is not just in its natural attractions but also in the local wisdom that underpins its community-based tourism. This local wisdom is a cultural aspect we should all appreciate and respect, enriching our understanding of the world and the communities we visit. Our study is based on a comprehensive normative juridical research method, a robust and widely respected approach in the field. This method, known for its reliability and accuracy, has produced insightful results, instilling a high level of confidence in the credibility of our study. You can trust the information presented in this study, knowing that it is based on a solid and reliable research method. We have taken every measure to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our findings so you can be confident in the information we present.

Abstract

The research design uses quantitative survey research. The sampling technique for respondents was carried out by purposive sampling of the community as the respondents are micro business actors in the Klaten area, totaling 110 respondents. By testing the Structural Equation model, researchers tested the relationship between variables in the model simultaneously. Model tests include respondent description test and variable descriptions, item validity test, item reliability test, regression test and moderating test simultaneously using AMOS software tools. The test results prove that there is a direct influence of attitude values, self-efficacy and Cognitive Dissonance on Business Longevity. The moderating test for the Islamic Spiritual Value variable is able to strengthen the three independent variables on the dependent variable. Managerial implications through the proven model require a strategy for stakeholders to develop efforts to increase the Islamic spiritual value ethos. Research findings: the Klaten Regency area has a high level of religiosity, Islamic spiritual values are able to act as a moderating variable

Abstract

In seeking material truth in a criminal case, in addition to being based on two pieces of evidence as regulated in a restrictive manner in the Criminal Procedure Code, in practice it is also known to carry out local examinations to increase the judge's confidence in whether or not the acts charged to the defendant are proven or not. The local examination by the Judge in the process of proving a criminal case can be said to be part of the Judge's discretion carried out in the event that the judge deems it necessary for the purpose of proving at trial. However, so far there has not been a single regulation that explicitly regulates this local examination in the criminal procedure law, causing a legal vacuum. This legal void then gives rise to various legal implications in the practice of criminal procedure law. The research method used is normative legal research with a legislative approach, a conceptual approach, and a case study approach. The legal materials used include primary legal materials that include laws and regulations and judges' decisions, secondary legal materials sourced from books or literature that are directly or indirectly related to the legal writing to be studied, and tertiary legal materials obtained from legal dictionaries or large Indonesian Language dictionaries. The results of this study describe the various juridical impacts of the legal vacuum of local audit arrangements in proving criminal cases from the aspect of legal certainty. Referring to the juridical impacts of the legal vacuum, the reform policy in the criminal procedure law is expected to be one of the guidelines for the unification or uniformity of the application of local examinations in the criminal procedure law in the future.
