Abstract

This research aims to formulate sociological research opportunities in food tourism. The study used the literature review method with bibliometric analysis to find the most discussed issues and opportunities for discussing new problems that have yet to be widely discussed. This research used VOSViewer software edition 1.6.18 to analyze 3,055 research articles on the ScienceDirect website from 1999-2023. The publication period is divided into three according to the ability to download, which can only download 1000 articles in each period. This research analyzed the development of publications, publishers, scope, main keywords, clusters, density visualization maps, overlays, and research networks. The analysis found that the research on the sociology of food tourism has increased, but sociology journals have yet to become publishers with the highest number of articles. Research opportunities exist on the topics of policy, inequality, and migration. Opportunities also exist in relating new and old issues to other matters. Previous studies have yet to study many interactions between actors providing food and other actors forming food tourism destinations. It is suggested that further research covers the topics of policy, inequality, migration, sociological theorizing of food tourism, and interactions between actors in the production of tourist attractions.

Muhammadiyah gives freedom to every organization member to exercise their rights in political life following all of their statements. The right to vote must be accounted for as citizens who act rationally and decisively, in line with the mission and interests of Muhammadiyah, for the sake of the nation and the state. This research uses normative juridical research methods (normative research). The nature of this research is descriptive, which aims to provide an overview of social phenomena regarding the role of psychiatrists in proving psychological violence in domestic violence crimes. Research data sources are primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials. The data collection method was carried out using document study techniques, which were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the research results, Muhammadiyah Youth chooses to strive in the life of the nation and state through efforts to develop or empower the ummah to achieve a civil society that is as strong as Muhammadiyah’s goal of achieving a truly Islamic society. Meanwhile, matters related to state policy as a process and result of the government’s political function will be followed through an appropriate and prudent approach following the principle of effective interest group struggle in the life of a democratic country that truly prioritizes the interests of the people and upholds institutional values.

Abstract

Research has been considered “negligent” in seeing performance as mediation on the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction, even more so in village governance. The study aimed to test performance directly related to the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction. This research was conducted in South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province. The total population in this study was 249 people, and samples were conducted by the purposive sampling method. A total of 179 respondents were involved in the survey. The validity and reliability test uses factor analysis with factor loading values ? 0.5 and Cronbach alpha ? 0.7. Simple regression and hierarchical analysis are used to test research hypotheses. The results showed that the performance variables were as complete as mediation in the study.

This research took place in Jakarta and Makasar. This research used grounded theory as its approach. The data are collected using observation, interview, and Focus Group Discussion with snowball sampling. The research results show that the construction of national identity is blended in which national identity is mixed with local and global ones. Also, socio-cultural change influences the construction of identity. Forming a superior identity is equally vital to one’s international, national, and regional identity.

Abstract

The nexus between migration and agricultural transformation encapsulates the dynamics of rural community livelihoods. Existing studies have not explicitly delineated the landscape of out-migration from rural regions in Indonesia. This study aims to elucidate migration behaviors intertwined with the lives of farming households and the utilization of remittances for agricultural investment activities. Through a comprehensive examination of literature and meta-analyses encompassing various migration cases in Indonesia, the findings reveal that both local and international migration by rural residents illustrate the adaptive strategies employed by households to cope with constrained income within the agricultural sector and limited employment prospects outside it in their villages. The enduring bond of rural communities with the agricultural sector aligns with the discernible pattern of remittance utilization, where a portion is earmarked for agricultural investments, such as land acquisition, including rice fields. The outcomes of this meta-analysis offer a holistic perspective on the relationship between migration and agriculture in Indonesia, serving as a foundation for optimizing the potential of migrants through well-tailored reintegration strategies aimed at mitigating poverty in rural areas.

Abstract

This research focuses on a village in Belinyu Sub-district, Bangka Regency, Kapitan Village. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and a literature review with observation and documentation data collection techniques. The study’s results found that social capital plays an important role in strengthening the network of the Forest Farmers Groups, where one of the efforts is the Karang Lintang Festival. The community in Kampung Kapitan has been built with a social capital system based on trust, norms, and network relationships. This festival activity is one of the efforts to encourage participation and increase community social capital through bonding, bridging, and linking social relationships. The theory used in this research is Woolcock’s social capital theory. As stated by Woolcock, the types of social capital become this research’s reference to analyze the role of social capital in the community. The strength of this network is obtained through wide-scale or national relationships that the Forest Farmers Group has achieved with government agencies. Of course, strengthening the network of this group is accompanied by an increase in tourism potential in Kapitan Village.

The object of the research was students of Class X of Darul Falah High School, namely to see whether students’ abilities in ICT-based learning in geography subjects increased students learning motivation. The research method used is the classroom action research method. The term classroom action research emphasizes class as a research setting. The results of this study are students’ learning motivation before participating in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning. There is no enthusiasm for learning. Students chatted more, did not focus on the lesson, and did not want to discuss and do assignments well. There is no competition to get good grades, and learning objectives have not been achieved. Understanding of the subject matter has not appeared. Implementing ICT-based learning provides benefits, including being more practical and making it easier for teachers to deliver subject matter. Students find it easier to access information related to the subject matter. This is supported by facilities and infrastructure in schools that support the ICT-based learning process, namely the existence of internet facilities.

Abstract

The rise of exclusive-formalistic religious interpretations is a series of facts that emphasize how the graph of the seeds of religious radicalism in Indonesia and Aceh, in particular, is increasingly undeniable. Referring to this phenomenon, this research aims to study the strengthening of political democracy and national identity based on local values and culture, which is the standard of political behavior in Aceh. This research method uses descriptive qualitative data from interviews, FGDs, questionnaires, and literature studies. The results obtained: First, the interpretation of Dayah Ulama towards the narrative of religious moderation looks dynamic and varied. On the one hand, in quantity, most Dayah Ulama do not question the narrative of religious moderation, including accepting its derivative concepts. On the other hand, it indicates a form of fragmentation in accepting the narrative of religious moderation. Second, the majority of Dayah Ulama show acceptance of the narrative of religious moderation with pre-conditions. The attitude shown must be based on existing Islamic Sharia and Acehnese customs regulations. Third, conservative and exclusive attitudes appear negotiable, meaning that these attitudes can fade if religious interests are not disturbed.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the relationship between poverty and risk preference in Indonesia empirically. This research employs the Indonesia Family Life Survey 2014 (IFLS5) using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and quantile regression approach, one of the most extended longitudinal data, to support this research design. The result reveals that poor households are more risk-averse than others across income levels. Moreover, poor people are poorly educated and mostly come from rural and disaster-prone areas. This evidence suggests that poor people from rural communities and disaster-prone regions should be prioritized and empowered to move from poverty zones due to their relatively high vulnerability.
