The education of students with disabilities has been the focus worldwide since the 1960s. The Indonesian government organizes special schools as a particular means of educating students with disabilities. Communication is part of the educational process that affects children's disabilities, and the teacher's communication skills play an essential role in the education of students with disabilities. This study examined teachers' communication skills in supporting students with disabilities in the arts. The study used a qualitative method with eight teachers, five parents, and ten students. The research was complemented by observations and document studies at SLB Fitria, an SLB with achievements in the arts. The study found that the teacher's communication abilities in teaching students with disabilities include the ability to communicate flexibly using various ways appropriate to the personal conditions and conditions of students' disabilities and the ability to encourage and motivate students to be involved and perform well. The study found that other factors support the artistic achievement of students with disabilities and the teacher's communication skills, namely parental support and the learning system in school. This study suggests paying particular attention to the teacher's communication skills in teaching. The teacher's communication abilities have overcome other shortcomings in their resources (educational background), school shortages (availability of facilities and infrastructure), and student deficiencies.

Dairy cow's milk production in Indonesia has not been able to meet the domestic demand for milk. The empowerment of dairy farmers was an effort to encourage milk productivity. This study examined the role of extension communication in empowering dairy farmers who were cooperative members. This study used four communication principles in empowerment: dialogue, voice, liberating pedagogy, and action-reflection-action. The qualitative research method used interview data collection techniques, observations, and document studies. The researcher determined the participants as empowerment actors when the research was conducted. The research found that the internal actors as extension agents were paramedics and the breeder actors were the farms' owners and the stables' keepers. The study's results found that paramedical officers' communication role as extension workers at KPS Bogor was insufficient to build the process of empowering dairy farmers. The process of dialogue, voice and liberating pedagogy occurs conditionally because of the position of the actors. Action-reflection-action process not found. These findings denoted that communication between extension workers and dairy farmers has not fully fulfilled the four communication principles in empowerment.AbstrakProduksi susu sapi perah di Indonesia belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan susu dalam negeri. Communication skills in building an interactional atmosphere or interactional competence are future research in improving learning quality. The learning process in pesantren was usually one-way from the teacher to the students. This study aims to elaborate on applying ten principles for future research on interactional communication skills in the learning process at Mahad Assalam Qur'anic Boarding School. The analysis used qualitative methods. The data collection techniques were document studies, interviews, and observations. The results indicated that Mahad Assalam Qur'anic Boarding School had not fully implemented the ten interactional skills. The weakness was the management's lack of transparency regarding standard operating procedures, causing this research to be unable to confirm between interview data and the written documents. Non-disclosure regarding formal operating procedures documents can cause obstacles in applying the same standards and replicating learning methods. Interactional communication between teachers and students in the learning process and interpersonal relationships have been established. This finding allowed the continuation of the implementation of interactional communication skills after the learning process.

The customer path 5A approach proposed the customer's personalization and communication on social media marketing. The previous studies suggested the influence of customer's social factors were age, gender, income, and occupation on customer path 5A due to X's e-marketing communication. This study added social media usage activity. However, the previous study did not analyze the customer's role in path 5A phase continuity. This study examined the influence of social factors and social media usage activity on the consumer path 5A continuity due to restaurant X's e-marketing communication. The research method was quantitative, with a survey of 400 samples. The samples were taken from Instagram followers and average monthly visitors of restaurant X in 2021, or 11,400 people. The one-way ANOVA tests found that customers' social factor was significantly different in influencing customer path 5A was the occupation. The social media usage activity was another factor influencing customer path 5A was the internet spending category. The two customer factors influenced the partial customer path 5A category and did not denote the customer path 5A phase continuity as the previous study suggested. Further research is needed to explain the reason for the discontinuity between each customer Path 5A's phase.

Culinary tourism had the most extensive product portfolio and was one of the tourism sectors most affected by the pandemic in Indonesia. The website was a specific communication tool for promoting tourism. The study objective was to examine how the government's promotion of culinary tourism in official website content strengthens the sustainability of culinary tourism development during the pandemic. This study used qualitative content analysis on the official tourism promotion website of the Indonesian government, namely https://www.indonesia.travel. Two hundred twenty-four articles on the "Culinaries'' and "Culinaries & Wellness" links were analyzed in seven data groups and 17 keywords. The placement and number of keyword analysis on the website found that tourism promotion had identified culinary resources but not enough to promote culinary as a tourist attraction. Business actors with small capital have not been promoted adequately, and promotion has not offered virtual culinary tour packages and online purchase messages sufficiently. It was concluded that the promotion of culinary tourism still required improvement to strengthen it’s sustainability during the pandemic. The government must promote culinary tourism by increasing the messages specifically for culinary tourism, information on culinary tourism attractions, business actors, local food, small-capital business actors, supporting online promotion, and integrating culinary tourism into other tours.

This study examined the principal's communication style in encouraging learning effectiveness during the pandemic in junior high school. Previous studies have not explored the principal's communication style in encouraging the effectiveness of online and limited face-to-face learning during the pandemic. This research used a qualitative case study method. The data collection techniques were interviews with one principal, eleven teachers, three education staff, five students, three parents, observation on the learning process, and document data analysis. This research used the six leadership communication styles approach from Tubbs and Moss. The study found that the principal applied the equalitarian, structuring, dynamic, and relinquishing styles. The learning process was adequate to achieve the score and graduating target. Therefore, the learning effectiveness needed improvement because there needs encouraging student activity, improving the teacher's capacities, and encouraging parent participation in the learning process. The principal's communication styles encouraged overcoming barriers due to the lack of online interaction and limited face-to-face learning but did not directly improve the learning effectiveness problem. The principal's communication styles failed to encourage learning effectiveness because the problem was not only communication. The principal was not arranged a particular assessment to solve the learning effectiveness problem.

This study explores the role of urban tourism planning at the national and regional levels in developing Indonesia’s culinary tourism destinations. Culinary destination tourism planning in Indonesia is under‐researched. This study aims to fill the gaps. Using the spatial triad analysis, this study explores the interrelatedness between the conceived-perceived-lived government planning activities in shaping culinary tourism destinations. Bogor City case was chosen because it has a higher culinary growth rate than other nearby cities. Bogor City analyzed in regional and national context. Based on the observations and the document studies, including text, promotion, publication, and document analysis, the research found that government culinary tourism planning has failed to develop culinary tourist destinations and attractions. The problem lies in the inconsistency between equivalent policies and the discontinuity between policy and implementation. The research findings indicate the governments lack of understanding of the subject matter and planning mechanisms. The culinary tourism planning activities have also created a classical contest of capital power. This research finding suggests the need for a better understanding of culinary tourism attractions and destinations and better planning mechanisms.

The use of online marketing media as a marketing communication medium has proliferated. This study examined the effectiveness of used messages in online marketing communication media, websites, and Instagram, to market IndiHome products. This study used elements of the message content (clarity of message content, the relevance of message content to the product being promoted, as well as the availability of visual, textual, and audiovisual information), accuracy between messages and media characters (informative and entertaining information on Instagram, as well as single consistent information in the website media), and the effectiveness of the used of messages (customers' responses to the attractiveness of the message and the encouragement of buying interest after seeing the message). This study found elements of message content and the accuracy of messages with media characters to get a positive response from customers and potential customers. The two factors of using messages in online marketing communication media are considered attractive by customers and potential customers or effective. However, the use of messages did not directly encourage buying interest. This study proposed adding an element of distinction inherent in the product that cannot be overcome by using messages in online marketing communication.

The research examined the possibility of food being socialized as local food to replace local food’s role in food tourism. Food was one of the major attractions during a vacancy in ASEAN. The study of food in tourism rarely considered local food diversity in urban areas. The research addressed the other type of local food that is typical city food. In this case, there is no connection between the food and culture, traditions, history, or place, but the food is socialized as being indigenous. The local food consumption model was used to test whether the factors that affect tourists' local food consumption apply equally to foods socialized as local food. The research compared domestic tourist local food consumption factors in two food categories. 640 domestic tourists in a developed culinary tourism city in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area participated in this online survey. The comparative test of tourist characteristics found gender, the purpose of visit, age, and status of visit tourist characteristics associated with the food choice. The physical environment, exiting experience, and authentic experience were the motivational factors that differed between two food categories. It is possible that socialized foods will replace local food. The food locality did not always a matter. The results provide an overview of the position of local food in urban tourism. This has been considered the main attraction of food tourism in ASEAN countries.
