Abstract

This article examines the economic defense reforms implemented by China under Xi Jinping's leadership through a literature review. This research aims to examine the key strategies employed by the Chinese government to strengthen its economic resilience amidst global pressures, such as the trade war with the United States, the COVID-19 pandemic, and escalating geopolitical rivalries. The findings indicate that Xi Jinping prioritizes a dual-circulation strategy, namely strengthening domestic consumption while maintaining connectivity with international markets, as a crucial step in addressing global uncertainty. Furthermore, the Made in China 2025 policy serves as a key pillar for promoting technological independence, reducing dependence on imports, and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic industries in strategic sectors such as information technology, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China seeks to expand its economic influence globally, open new markets, and transfer excess domestic industrial capacity to partner countries. These reforms are not solely oriented toward economic aspects but are also closely linked to political and national security interests. This strategy demonstrates China's systematic efforts to build economic resilience integrated with geopolitical interests, using the economy as an instrument of both soft and hard power. This study demonstrates that Xi Jinping's economic defense reforms are not merely a short-term response to the global crisis, but rather part of a long-term vision to establish China as a dominant global power. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of understanding China's economic strategy holistically, as these reforms, in addition to significantly influencing domestic dynamics, also have significant implications for the future global economic and political order.

Abstract

BPR in Indonesia. This study uses qualitative research methodology.  The methodology employed is a case study.  The findings of this investigation include (1) Marketing communication strategies in increasing customer loyalty at BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu are by using 1) advertising, BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu utilizes digital media, only using Facebook, Instagram and the BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu website. 2) sales promotion, promotions using distributing brochures, installing banners, personal and non-personal sales by visiting customers directly. 3) Public relations, BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu is building a positive image of the company through events, sponsorships, or CSR. 4) digital media promotion, digital media used in marketing BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu uses social media such as Instagram and Facebook, and we also have a special website for BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu with the website address. (2) BPR Kusuma Sumbing's challenge is that educational communication regarding BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu products to customers is sometimes hampered by a lack of understanding of financial literacy. Therefore, I have to explain in detail and coherently, which takes quite a long time. (3) The solution to addressing the challenges in marketing communication strategies to increase customer loyalty at BPR Kusuma Sumbing Delanggu is to continuously improve customer relationships and expand our reach. By strengthening communication and providing better education, we believe we can increase customer loyalty and the BPR's future growth.

Abstract

Agreements are an important instrument in everyday life, both in the social and economic spheres. In practice, agreements are not always made in written form, but are often made orally. This phenomenon raises legal questions about whether oral agreements have valid legal force and can be used as a basis for dispute resolution. This study aims to analyze the legal status of oral agreements from the perspective of Indonesian civil law by referring to Article 1320 of the Civil Code (KUHPerdata), which regulates the requirements for a valid agreement. The research method used is normative juridical with an approach to relevant laws and legal doctrines. The results of the study indicate that oral agreements remain legally valid as long as they meet the four requirements for a valid agreement: agreement of the parties, capacity to enter into an agreement, the existence of a specific object, and a lawful cause. However, the main problem arising from oral agreements is the difficulty in proving them when disputes arise, given the lack of written evidence that can be used as a basis before the law. Therefore, although civil law does not require a written form for the validity of an agreement, writing an agreement is still recommended to provide legal certainty, facilitate proof, and protect the interests of the parties. This finding underscores the importance of public legal awareness in choosing a form of agreement that is safer and has stronger evidentiary force.

Abstract

This research explores the Media Relations strategies implemented by the Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) faction in the context of political communication during the administration of President Prabowo Subianto. Building a positive image in politics through effective relationships with the mass media is essential. The purpose of this study is to identify the strategies employed by the PAN faction in managing relations, developing strategies, and expanding networks with the media. The public image of the PAN faction is shaped through media coverage. This research applies Media Relations strategy theory, which includes managing relationships, developing strategies, and network building, as well as image formation theory, which encompasses perception, cognition, motivation, and attitude. A qualitative method with a descriptive study approach was used, and data were collected through interviews and documentation. The findings reveal that 1.) The PAN faction actively engages in communication through media gatherings, press conferences, doorstop interviews, advertorial collaborations, and media involvement in discussions. 2.) The faction disseminates information using both conventional and digital media, emphasizing engagement and transparency. 3.) PAN also builds partnerships with external organizations through audience meetings, seminars, training, and discussions as efforts to expand its communication network. 4.) Supporting factors include the openness of the media team and the availability of communicative spokespersons, while obstacles arise from the rapidly changing dynamics of social media and limited control over external media content. 5.) Abstract

Environmental issues are becoming increasingly urgent, particularly the worsening clean water crisis, which requires effective mass communication to raise awareness and encourage community involvement. Social media has emerged as a strategic platform for disseminating information and promoting environmental actions. PandawaraGroup, a dedicated TikTok account focusing on environmental issues, utilizes persuasive communication to encourage positive actions. This study aims to examine the influence of persuasive communication by the @PandawaraGroup TikTok account on followers’ interest in participating in social actions. The research employed a quantitative method with data collected through an online questionnaire (Google Form) distributed to 100 respondents who are followers of the account. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression along with descriptive tests, validity, reliability, and dimensional analysis. The findings reveal that persuasive communication from @PandawaraGroup has a moderate influence on followers’ interest in engaging in social actions. Based on these results, the study suggests that @PandawaraGroup should strengthen follower engagement through active interactions, such as responding to comments and direct messages, as well as organizing regular Q&A or discussion sessions. Furthermore, diversifying content with creative approaches is essential to maintain audience interest and relevance. These strategies are expected to enhance the effectiveness of @PandawaraGroup in promoting environmental awareness and public participation.

Abstract

The number of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) active on social media is on the increase. Because of this, many Indonesian MSMEs advertise their wares on social media. The snack food MSME industry is one that is seeing expansion. In recent times, TikTok has gained popularity as a promotional medium that offers cost-effective information delivery. The impact of TikTok on live streaming engagement, which mixes entertainment aspects with commercial messaging, has been the subject of several studies in the marketing literature. The purpose of this research is to find out how much of an effect the TikTok Live streaming account @sajodosnack has on people's inclination to buy. This research used a quantitative technique based on a survey method. The theory utilized includes Live streaming with the dimensions of Perceived Product Quality, Real-Time Interaction, and Host Credibility, and Purchasing Decisions with the dimensions of Problem Recognition, Information Search, Alternative Evaluation, Purchase Decision, and Post-Purchase Behavior. Using a random sample approach, 105 respondents who were fans of the TikTok account @sajodosnack were given questionnaires to fill out in order to gather data. According to the findings, those who participated in the study agreed with the claims made about the TikTok live streaming variable (X). On top of that, all statements pertaining to the purchase choice variable (Y) in the survey were met with favorable responses from respondents. The impact of TikTok live streaming on purchase choices for Sajodo Snack is strongly correlated (r=0.710); live streaming accounts for 50.3% of the total, while other variables account for the remaining 49.7%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the role of Scarcity and Urgency applied by the Hanasui brand in the marketing process on the Shopee live feature can influence consumer purchasing decisions. Furthermore, the researchers refer to Scarcity and Urgency as limited product stock and limited time for a discount. The researcher used the Heuristic Systematic theory to analyze the Scarcity and Urgency process in the Hanasui brand live streaming on the Shopee application, namely the Heuristic Systematic theory, a theory that explains how a person processes information obtained either heuristically (without thinking) or systematically (regularly and comprehensively). Where the method used is a qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm and a qualitative descriptive approach. Meanwhile, the data collection techniques used were non-participant observation and in-depth interviews with predetermined subjects, namely five women, who have used or purchased Hanasui products on the Shopee live feature. Therefore, the results of this study, namely the Hanasui live feature on Shopee, show that Scarcity and Urgency play a role in consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

PaDi UMKM is a limited liability company (PT) and is classified as a closed PT. PT PaDi UMKM was established in 2020. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimization of digital public relations in improving image. The theories used in this study are digital public relations theory and image theory. This research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method, with primary data collection techniques in the form of interviews with three informants and an expert, and secondary data in the form of documentation, both data and images. The results of the study indicate that the optimization of digital public relations by PaDi UMKM plays an important role in improving brand image. Referring to Clea Bourne's theory, PaDi UMKM utilizes digital tools such as blogs, articles, and social media for one-way and two-way communication. This strategy is supported by media monitoring that includes content planning, trend utilization, and sentiment analysis to understand public opinion. The success of building a positive image is supported by attractive visual content, inspirational storytelling, and active interaction with the audience, as well as collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises that strengthens credibility. Challenges in the form of user complaints about the application system are handled through fast responses and responsive customer service. With a solution-oriented approach, appropriate education, and the use of digital platforms, optimizing digital public relations not only increases positive public perception but also strengthens customer loyalty, making PaDi UMKM a reliable B2B marketplace.

Abstract

Women are an interesting subject of analysis in the media, especially in films. The status of single women, meaning those without a partner, is often accompanied by negative stigma and social pressure to meet societal expectations. This phenomenon is often perceived as a failure to fulfill one's expected role, thereby creating various challenges for single women. This study aims to examine the representation of singlewomen through the character Lainy in the film Kinda Pregnant, exploring how Lainydeals with social stigma and pressure related to her status. Using Stuart Hall's theory of representation, this study applies a descriptive qualitative method and a semiotic approach developed by Roland Barthes. This study analyzes 12 selected scenes to identify relevant themes, such as expectations, reproductive myths, social pressure, and negative stereotypes faced by single women. The analysis reveals that single women are often labeled as “old maids” and compared to the ideal married woman. In this context, Lainy is depicted as struggling against societal expectations regarding marriage and motherhood, while striving to find self-acceptance amid the stigma attached to her status. This study aims to provide insights into the challenges faced by single women in social and cultural contexts, emphasizing the importance of solidarity among women.

Abstract

The development of technology and digital platforms such as Netflix has influenced the representation of career women in films, including how career women are depicted in the competitive world of work. This study examines the representation of career women in the film The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, especially through the character of Kiara, a smart, ambitious, and assertive television producer. The purpose of this study is to find out how career women are represented in the film, the values they uphold, and the messages they convey regarding women in the world of work. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method to analyze the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings in the film. The results of the study show that the character of Kiara represents a modern woman who is independent, professional, and able to compete on an equal footing with men without eliminating her emotional side. This film not only presents women as story sweeteners, but as central figures who bring change to the narrative flow. This representation provides inspiration and motivation for the audience, especially women, in facing stereotypes and challenges in the world of work. This film also conveys an important message about and empowering women in the professional realm.
