Abstract

infrastructure, lack of educational resources, and lack of access to technology. However, students from this region still have the potential to excel if supported by the right approach. Strategies such as strengthening the role of communities, special training for teaching staff, and implementing simple technology can be effective solutions in improving the quality of education. Apart from that, support from the government and private institutions in the form of mentoring programs and the provision of learning facilities also plays a significant role in creating a conducive learning environment. With a holistic and collaborative approach, limited access to education can be overcome, so that producing outstanding students in remote areas becomes a reality that can be realized.

Abstract

Border areas have a strategic role in maintaining state sovereignty and national integrity, especially for Indonesia which has direct borders with various countries, one of which is the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (RDTL). The State Defense Program is one of the government's efforts to strengthen national resilience in the border region by increasing awareness of community nationalism. However, the implementation of this program faces various challenges, such as limited infrastructure, low quality of human resources, and the influence of foreign cultures that can weaken the sense of nationalism of the local community. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the State Defense Program in strengthening the spirit of nationalism in the RI-RDTL border region by using a combination approach of the CIPPO model (Context, Input, Process, Product, Outcome) and the Kirkpatrick evaluation model. Through a qualitative research method with a Narrative Research approach, this study collected data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis from various stakeholders, such as security forces and local communities. The results show that although the State Defense Program has an important role in building nationalism awareness, there are significant obstacles in its implementation, especially related to limited infrastructure and human resources. Therefore, a thorough evaluation and improvement of implementation strategies are needed so that this program can be more effective in strengthening national resilience in the RI-RDTL border region. The results of this research are expected to form the basis of policy recommendations that are more adaptive and sustainable

Abstract

This study focuses on the impact of Islamic education management on character and moral development in madrasahs. The primary objective of this research is to explore how the integration of Islamic values into the curriculum and teaching methods influences students' moral and ethical awareness.   The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive study design, utilizing data collection techniques such as questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis to identify correlations between Islamic education management and students' character development.  The findings reveal that Islamic education significantly contributes to shaping students' character and morals. The integration of Islamic values in learning helps students navigate complex moral situations and fosters a positive attitude toward others. However, challenges in implementing this approach amid rigorous academic demands require special attention.  The study's implications highlight the need for adequate support for educators and curriculum policy changes to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic education in character development

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is a compulsory subject at all levels of education in Indonesia, as regulated in PP No. 55 of 2007. In an effort to improve the quality of PAI learning, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis is used to evaluate the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This study used a qualitative method with PAI teacher participants at SMP Negeri 1 Blimbingsari. The results showed that the Independent Curriculum gives teachers the freedom to innovate in learning, but is constrained by limited resources and variations in implementation. The SWOT analysis identified opportunities such as strengthening religious values through collaboration with the community, as well as threats in the form of differences in curriculum interpretation. The resulting strategies include improving teacher professionalism, use of technology, and facility support. This study concludes the importance of synergy between teachers, the community, and educational institutions in supporting effective PAI learning that is relevant to the demands of the times.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the cosmic spiritual experiences experienced by religious tourism visitors and their implications for the evolution of transpersonal consciousness. Cosmic spiritual experiences are phenomena characterized by feelings of deep connection with transcendent reality, awareness beyond ego identity, and individual psychological and existential transformation. This study uses the method Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze various previous studies that discuss the phenomenon of spiritual experiences, transpersonal awareness, and their impacts in the context of religious tourism. The research results show that cosmic spiritual experiences in religious tourism can occur through various factors, such as a supportive spiritual environment, religious rituals, and individual psychological readiness. This experience contributes to increased transpersonal awareness, which is characterized by a sense of universal connectedness, increased empathy, and a change in life orientation towards deeper meaning. In addition, this research found that integrating spiritual experiences in daily life is a challenge for individuals. In conclusion, cosmic spiritual experiences have great potential in developing transpersonal consciousness, but require social support and spiritual guidance. Therefore, it is recommended that religious tourism provide reflective and educational programs to assist individuals in understanding and internalizing their spiritual experiences.

Abstract

The tradition of seniority in Islamic boarding schools plays an important role in shaping the social structure and character of santri, where senior santri have the authority to guide and supervise junior santri. This tradition is not only seen as a hierarchy, but also as a learning mechanism that teaches the values of respect, responsibility and leadership. Even though it provides benefits in character building, challenges arise regarding the potential for abuse of authority which can affect relationships between students. In an organizational context, seniority also plays a role in efficient decision making, but can hinder innovation if it is too rigid. In addition, modernization in Islamic boarding schools provides opportunities to improve the quality of education through technology, but risks eroding the traditional values that characterize Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, it is important to maintain a balance between modernization and preserving traditions, as well as integrating moral education to ensure seniority is carried out wisely and fairly. Through proper management, Islamic boarding schools can produce a generation of students who are not only academically intelligent, but also have strong morality and character, able to contribute positively to a society that is balanced between cultural heritage and the demands of the times.

Abstract

The SMK Center of Excellence (SMK PK) program is a government initiative to improve the quality of vocational education to be more aligned with the needs of the world of work and industry. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SMK PK program in improving graduate absorption. The approach used in this research is mixed methods with a sequential exploratory design, which integrates qualitative and quantitative analysis. The evaluation was conducted using the CIPPO (Context, Input, Process, Product, Outcomes) and Kirkpatrick models to analyze the policy, resources, implementation, and impact of the program on graduates and industry. However, in this discussion, the analysis is focused on the Kirkpatrick model with a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, while the quantitative data analysis aims to measure the influence of the main factors in the success of this program. The results show that the availability of resources has a positive and significant influence on the quality of graduates, while the quality of teaching shows a significant negative influence. This indicates that improving the availability of resources, such as facilities and teaching materials, contributes more to improving the quality of graduates than the quality of teaching, which in the context of this study shows a negative relationship. In addition, the mediating variable does not have a significant role in bridging the relationship between teaching quality and resource availability to graduate quality.

Abstract

This research analyzes the differences in the character of students in the Islamic boarding school environment and society. Islamic boarding schools as traditional Islamic educational institutions have a central role in forming the personality of students through the application of religious values, discipline and the habit of living a simple life. On the other hand, society has a more complex influence due to the diversity of values, extensive social interaction and the challenges of modernity. These environmental differences create dynamics in the students' thought patterns, behavior and adaptation when interacting outside the Islamic boarding school. The research results show that santri tend to maintain Islamic boarding school values in society, even though they experience several challenges in the consistency of their implementation. This research is expected to provide insight for Islamic boarding school managers, the community and policy makers to strengthen the synergy between Islamic boarding school values and the needs of modern society.
