Abstract

Political education is one of the non-formal education models that is important. It is important because during the election moment many of our people are involved in politics, either directly or not. We carry out this political education in the form of socialization which then hopes that the community, especially in Tawangrejo Village, Turi District, Lamongan Regency, will be able to understand political concepts and paradigms carefully. So this will certainly be useful to avoid transactional political practices or even political money that often occurs when elections come. The purpose and purpose of the socialization activity is useful to at least provide an understanding for the youth of Tawangrejo Village not to be involved in money politics activities which are actually very detrimental to the community itself. We carried out this activity independently and involved LP2M (Institute for Research and Community Service) of Sunan Drajat Lamongan University.

Abstract

This community service aims to optimize public legal literacy and awareness through legal aid services at LKBH UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. The program adopts a socio-legal and participatory approach by integrating legal education, consultation services, and digital-based platforms such as websites and social media. The activities include legal counseling, community consultations, and case referrals, supported by both offline and online service mechanisms. The results indicate a significant improvement in public understanding of legal rights and procedures, increased participation in accessing legal services, and a shift in legal behavior from passive to more proactive and preventive attitudes. Furthermore, the program contributes to the establishment of a digital-based legal aid service system as a new social institution that enhances access to justice. However, challenges remain in terms of digital literacy gaps and limited internet access among certain community groups. Overall, this initiative demonstrates that integrating legal education with digital innovation can effectively accelerate the development of legal awareness and strengthen inclusive access to justice in society.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting regional economic growth; however, many household-based MSMEs continue to face challenges such as limited branding capabilities, inadequate digital marketing skills, lack of product innovation, and low levels of digital literacy. These constraints hinder their ability to grow and compete in the digital economy era. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to develop a creative economy-based mentoring model involving Generation Z to support the upgrading of household MSMEs in South Sumatra. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with a collaborative and participatory method involving MSME owners and Generation Z as creative mentors. The activities consisted of needs assessment, creative economy training, digital marketing assistance, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results demonstrated significant improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills across several dimensions. The average score for understanding the creative economy increased from 52 to 85, branding and product packaging from 48 to 84, digital marketing from 50 to 88, and collaboration with Generation Z from 55 to 90. The involvement of Generation Z contributed positively to digital knowledge transfer, creative content development, marketplace optimization, and adaptation to market trends. The mentoring model successfully enhanced business capacity, strengthened brand identity, expanded digital market access, and improved MSMEs’ readiness to scale up. These findings indicate that intergenerational collaboration integrating creative economy principles and digital transformation can serve as an effective strategy to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of household MSMEs in South Sumatra.

Abstract

Dietary patterns are one of the important factors associated with the risk of non-communicable diseases. Adopting a healthy diet can help reduce the risk of various diseases, including heart disease, hypertension, obesity, and other health problems. Indonesia has considerable natural resource potential, including fertile soil and diverse agricultural products that can be utilized as healthy food sources. However, the development of a practical lifestyle has encouraged people to prefer purchasing ready-to-eat healthy food rather than preparing it themselves. This condition creates a promising business opportunity, particularly for young people to develop healthy food-based enterprises. This community service activity aimed to empower the Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) by improving participants’ knowledge and skills in developing healthy food businesses. The activity was attended by 20 participants who received information about the importance of a healthy diet, food ingredient selection, food processing, and healthy food business opportunities. The results showed that 92% of participants were satisfied with the implementation of the activity. Furthermore, 13 participants had independently established healthy food businesses after participating in the activity. These results indicate that empowerment activities can increase participants’ interest and capacity to utilize healthy food business opportunities while simultaneously supporting the implementation of healthy lifestyles within the community. The activity also encouraged participants to become more independent and productive through sustainable business initiatives.

Abstract

Instilling knowledge of self-reliant health practices from an early age, particularly at the elementary school level, is essential for fostering healthy lifestyles and promoting the utilization of natural resources available in the local environment. This community service initiative (KKN) aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of students at SD Negeri 104308 Sukajadi concerning the utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) as an initial step toward developing health self-reliance. The activities were implemented through educational outreach, hands-on planting of TOGA seedlings, and evaluation of students’ understanding using pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ knowledge of the types, benefits, uses, and cultivation methods of TOGA. Furthermore, the establishment of a “living pharmacy” within the school environment provided students with direct learning experiences. Through these activities, students not only understood the theoretical aspects of TOGA but also developed practical skills, environmental awareness, and a greater sense of responsibility for maintaining personal health and utilizing local natural resources sustainably. This program also encouraged students to actively participate in caring for the school environment in their daily lives.

Abstract

Usually applying for a job one has to prepare supporting documents, one of which is a CV or Curiculum Vitae. However, in this globalization era, people usually make CVs as attractive as possible to attract users to continue to the next stage. Therefore, many people use platforms, applications or websites that can make an attractive CV, one of which is the Canva application. Canva is a graphic design application used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. This application provides a variety of design examples to use. Canva consists of two types of services, namely free and paid. For paid services, Canva provides Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise. In addition, users can also pay for products physically to be printed and shipped. Because of this, we hope that this training on making CVs can help friends at school to make CVs and later can be used to apply for jobs when friends have graduated from the Vocational School.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam penulisan karya ilmiah memberikan peluang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses akademik, tetapi juga menghadirkan tantangan terkait kemampuan berpikir kritis, verifikasi informasi, dan integritas akademik mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kompetensi penulisan karya tulis ilmiah mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam Fakultas Syariah Universitas Sunan Drajat Lamongan melalui pemanfaatan AI secara produktif, kritis, etis, dan bertanggung jawab. Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan partisipatif melalui tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, perencanaan, pelatihan, praktik, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi, diskusi, dan learning by doing. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menentukan topik, merumuskan masalah, menyusun kerangka, mengembangkan argumentasi, serta memanfaatkan AI sebagai academic assistant. Kegiatan juga memperkuat kemampuan verifikasi sumber dan pemahaman etika akademik dalam penggunaan AI.

Abstract

Event management is one of the competencies that sports students need to have to support their readiness to enter the workforce in the sports industry. However, students' practical experience in managing events is still limited, so a training program that can integrate conceptual learning with practical experience is needed. This community service activity aims to improve sports students' knowledge of event management through experiential learning-based training. The program was implemented using a participatory approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 30 students from the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, Surabaya State University. The training consisted of lectures, discussions, case studies, workshops, and simulations of organizing sports events. Evaluation was carried out using a knowledge test and a participant satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively, using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, effect size (Cohen's d), and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The results showed that the post-test score increased significantly compared to the pre-test (p < 0.001) with a Cohen's d value of 2.84 indicating a very large effect and an N-Gain value of 0.62 in the moderate category. Furthermore, participant satisfaction reached 90.45%, categorized as very good, particularly in terms of resource person competency and learning methods. These findings demonstrate that experiential learning-based training effectively enhances student knowledge while providing a positive learning experience relevant to the needs of organizing sporting events. This program has the potential to become a model for developing event management competencies that can be replicated in universities and sporting organizations.

Abstract

Bullying dan penyalahgunaan narkotika merupakan dua permasalahan serius yang mengancam masa depan remaja di Indonesia, termasuk di lingkungan pendidikan berbasis madrasah. Rendahnya kesadaran hukum di kalangan siswa sering menjadi salah satu penyebab utama munculnya perilaku menyimpang tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan menguatkan kesadaran hukum remaja melalui edukasi pencegahan bullying dan bahaya penyalahgunaan narkotika di MA Ma'arif 7 Sunan Drajat. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi interaktif, ceramah hukum, diskusi kelompok, simulasi kasus, serta evaluasi melalui pretest dan posttest terhadap siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan siswa mengenai bentuk, dampak, dan konsekuensi hukum dari bullying maupun penyalahgunaan narkotika. Wawancara dengan guru dan siswa menunjukkan respons positif serta perubahan sikap ke arah lebih taat hukum. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model edukasi hukum preventif berkelanjutan bagi lembaga pendidikan sejenis dalam membentuk generasi muda yang berkarakter dan sadar hukum.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam adalah proses pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk membentuk, membimbing, dan mengembangkan peserta didik agar memiliki pemahaman, penghayatan, serta pengamalan ajaran Islam secara menyeluruh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini untuk mengetahui rekonstruksi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis multikultural pada lembaga pendidikan SMKN 7 Pandeglang di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus untuk memperoleh pemahaman secara mendalam mengenai rekonstruksi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis multikultural di SMKN 7 Pandeglang, Provinsi Banten. Hasil penelitian yang pertama yaitu kondisi demografi dan keberagaman pada SMKN 7 Pandeglang di Provinsi Banten. Provinsi Banten adalah daerah yang memiliki karakteristik demografis yang unik karena terletak di jalur pertemuan antara kawasan urban, industri, pesisir, dan agraris. Yang kedua implementasi kurikulum PAI dan hambatan guru yaitu pada dasarnya telah sejalan dengan kebijakan pendidikan nasional, namun dalam praktiknya masih menunjukkan kecenderungan yang normatif dan berfokus pada penguasaan materi. Yang ketiga dampak sosial dari pembelajaran PAI yang belum sepenuhnya berbasis multikultural mulai terlihat dalam kehidupan sekolah di beberapa daerah Banten. Yang keempat pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMKN 7 Pandeglang mitra masih cenderung dilakukan secara konvensional dan belum sepenuhnya mengakomodasi nilai-nilai multikultural dalam proses belajar mengajar. Yang kelima guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMKN 7 Pandeglang masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang benar-benar sesuai dengan karakter sosial masyarakat Banten yang majemuk.
