Abstract

The development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Jaro Village, Tabalong Regency, faces a fundamental challenge in the limited capacity of Human Resources (HR) regarding financial governance and open operations. This community service activity aims to improve the HR capacity of BUMDes managers based on the principles of transparency and work accountability. The implementation method utilized the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which includes stages of socialization, intensive training on digital financial report preparation, assistance in drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and periodic performance evaluations. The results indicated an 85% increase in partners' understanding of governance, the formulation of 3 main SOP documents, and the implementation of a digital application-based financial reporting system accessible to both the village government and the community. The conclusion of this activity is that structured HR capacity building can transform the work patterns of BUMDes managers to be more accountable, which in turn enhances public trust and drives the economic independence of Jaro Village.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the governance capacity of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) at the Embung Sawah Tourism site in Jaro Village, Tabalong Regency, through the implementation of digital marketing management strategies and application-based financial management systems. The service partner faced major constraints, namely the limited promotional reach of the tourist attraction, which still relied on conventional methods, and an internal financial recording system that was still manual, making it prone to recording errors and a lack of report transparency. The implementation method of this community service utilized a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which includes four main stages: socialization and coordination, intensive training (workshops), structured mentoring, and program evaluation. The digital instruments implemented in this activity include social media optimization (Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Ads), the creation of a Google Maps Business profile, and the utilization of an Android-based digital financial recording application (BukuWarung/SiApik). The results of this community service activity show an 85% increase in the understanding and skills of Pokdarwis administrators in operating digital marketing media and managing digital finances. Embung Sawah Tourism now has an automated, neat, and transparent monthly financial reporting system, and experienced a surge in domestic tourist visitation volume of up to 40% within three months post-training due to more structured digital promotions. It can be concluded that the digitalization of marketing and financial aspects can strengthen the governance independence of Pokdarwis and support the sustainability of community-based tourism economies in Jaro Village.

Abstract

This community service initiative was conducted to transform the financial management systems of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the layer poultry farming sector. The main challenge faced by farmers was reliance on simple, manual financial records, making data vulnerable to loss, physical damage, and calculation errors. This condition hindered monitoring of operational efficiency, business performance assessment, and strategic decision-making. Through active training and intensive, continuous mentoring, the service team assisted partners in transitioning from traditional methods to a digital spreadsheet-based financial recording system. Activities included preliminary discussions, presentations on financial digitalization, technical guidance on recording production data and operational transactions, and periodic monitoring to ensure partner independence. The program improved managers’ skills in systematically separating operational costs and daily revenues. Digital dashboards and graphical visualizations comparing income and expenditure also provided easier access to transparent, real-time financial information. Financial digitalization shifted partners toward more professional, accountable, and competitive business management. Continued implementation is expected to strengthen their bargaining position, maintain operational efficiency amid market fluctuations, and support future access to formal capital.
