Abstract

Hate speech, often referred to as hate speech, is an act of communication carried out by an individual or a group that can be in the form of provocation, humiliation, or blasphemy against individuals or groups on various occasions and conditions, such as skin color, race, physical imperfection, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and many others. Hate Speech itself has never escaped society's use of social media technology, especially Instagram. Instagram is a special application on a smartphone that is used for social media. These applications are almost identical to Twitter in terms of functionality but differ in how they are used to share information. One of the differences lies in the app's ability to take photos and share them with other users.

Abstract

This study is focused on exploring the strengths and weaknesses of the cooperative learning method in EFL classes according to 2 teachers' and 25 students’ perspectives. The data were collected from interviews, observation, and documentation. The interview data is collected by direct questioning. The findings were categorized into teachers' and students’ perspectives, which state that cooperative learning can facilitate teachers in teaching students effectively and make students able to gain self-confidence and motivation. However, the finding also revealed that cooperative learning is still lacking in managing the abilities of students who are not evenly distributed. The results showed that cooperative learning has both trade-offs in the classroom. Students feel more open to expressing their ideas, making the classroom atmosphere less monotonous and students more enthusiastic about learning. Teachers, on the other hand, feel helped when the material presented requires complicated explanations. Both students and teachers are more comfortable with a variety of methods, considering that cooperative learning has many different strategies that can be implemented by students. On the other hand, students and teachers also feel the problems of the method. It will be discussed further.

Literary work is a creative work of art using beautiful language that comes from thoughts, feelings, ideas, imagination, and experiences that often occur in people's daily lives. The researcher used Sigmund Freud's theory in the literary psychology approach. The qualitative descriptive method was used in this research. Data were collected using reading and note-taking techniques and used triangulation to ensure data validity. Data analysis used data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The data found were classified based on the Id, Ego, and Superego personality structures. The results found that (1) Keiko's personalities as the main character consists of id, ego, and superego. The id influences the main character to act spontaneously under the subconscious, pursue pleasure, enjoyment, and satisfaction that must be fulfilled, and has a primitive urge to act. The ego sensitizes the main character with realistic thoughts that function for problem-solving and decision-making. The superego controls Keiko's idealistic attitude and moral values. (2) The personality disorder experienced by the main character consists of paranoid, schizoid, narcissistic, and anti-social.

The samples taken were class VIII-1 (experimental class) totaling 30 students and class VIII-3 (control class) totaling 30 students. The research method used is an experimental research method with the type of Two Group Post-Test Only Control Design using a quantitative approach. The instrument used is an essay test. The results showed that the ability to write explanatory texts in the control class using conventional techniques was in the less category with an average of 52.7 and did not meet the KKM, while the average value of the experimental class was 80.16 in the good category and met the KKM. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the data were normally distributed. After calculating the experimental normality test Lcount < Ltable at a significant level, the post-test data normality test results for the control class were (0.0335 <0.161), the post-test data normality test results for the experimental class were (-0.1358 <0.161). The homogeneity test results for the ability to write explanatory texts are Fcount < Ftable, namely 1.88 < 4.2 and the hypothesis test is tcount > ttable, namely 8.8 > 2.04 , so the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the application of the clustering technique has an effect on the ability to write explanatory texts of class VIII students of SMP N 4 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of utilizing the internet as a learning resource for Islamic Religious Education at SMK PGRI Sooko Mojokerto. The negative impact encountered in the use of the internet as a learning resource is that students become lazy to read books, more lazy to look in books because there is easy access on the internet, students can later misuse the internet outside the context of learning such as playing games to open other applications that have nothing to do with learning Islamic religious education. The positive impact is for teachers to be more practical to find teaching materials, provide material via the internet web and for students the positive impact makes it easier for them to find material and search for answers on the internet to add new insights and knowledge, because internet access and facilities in the form of wifi are adequate, it is hoped that this internet utilization can be used optimally and in these users the teacher must pay attention or accompany so that there will be no abuse of excessive internet use..

Abstract

Integrating religious knowledge with general knowledge is a longstanding problem, but along with the development of scientific skills in all fields, the integration of science is the key to success in the world of Islamic education and makes Islam the mecca of science, this opens up a wide range of opportunities to integrate science. Universally, science can be classified into three: natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. the three sciences are actually rooted in an integrated foundation of science, namely the Qur'an and hadist, showing, communicating the existence and attributes of god and everything that happens in the universe through its verses. Science is a collection of knowledge that will be gained through human efforts to understand the world and its surroundings. The dichotomization of science in the western concept did not last long because it was increasingly clear that the progress of science led to one source, namely Allah SWT. So we can conclude that although religion and science are different, however, it does not mean that these two things cannot be integrated, because both religious knowledge and science all come from Allah SWT.
