Abstract

This study examines the influence of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and work attitude on employee performance. Understanding these factors is crucial for organizations aiming to enhance productivity. Emotional intelligence relates to self-awareness and emotional regulation, while spiritual intelligence emphasizes purpose and resilience. Work attitude reflects an individual’s perception of their professional responsibilities. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from employees in a specific organizational setting. Hypothesis testing was conducted through statistical analysis, including t-tests and F-tests, to determine the significance of the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence does not significantly impact employee performance, indicating that self-awareness alone does not directly enhance productivity. Conversely, spiritual intelligence has a significant positive effect, suggesting that employees with higher spiritual intelligence demonstrate greater resilience, ethical behavior, and motivation. Additionally, work attitude does not significantly influence performance, implying that external factors may have a more substantial role. This study contributes to the literature by emphasizing the importance of spiritual intelligence in improving employee performance. It provides practical insights for organizations to develop programs that foster spiritual intelligence and ethical leadership. Future research should consider additional moderating variables and longitudinal studies to deepen understanding of these relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Hybrid Working and Work-Life Balance on Employee Performance in startup companies in Surabaya. In addition, this study also explores the role of additional variables (YM) in the relationship. The approach used in this study is quantitative with survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires from 100 respondents who are employees at various startups in Surabaya that implement a hybrid working system. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression method with two test models (Model 1 without additional variables and Model 2 with additional variable YM).The results showed that in Model 1, Hybrid Working and Work-Life Balance had a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (p-value <0.05). This model has an R Square of 44.2%, which means that the two variables explain 44.2% of the variation in Employee Performance. However, in Model 2, after adding the YM variable, the effect of Hybrid Working and Work-Life Balance on Employee Performance became insignificant (p-value > 0.05). Nonetheless, the overall model remains significant (F = 26,081, p = 0.000) with an increase in the R Square value to 44.9%. Hybrid Working and Work-Life Balance have a significant impact on Employee Performance, but this relationship may change when other variables are included in the model.

Abstract

This article explores the influence of management accounting practices on local government performance in Indonesia, focusing on the implementation of the Nawacita program, a national development agenda launched by President Joko Widodo. Through a comprehensive literature review using semantic analysis, the study examines how performance-based budgeting systems, particularly the Sistem Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah (SAKIP), interact with government management accounting tools to improve governance, fiscal transparency, and public accountability. The review synthesizes insights from various scholarly sources, identifying key themes such as institutional capacity, financial accountability, and strategic alignment with national development goals. The study highlights the pivotal role of management accounting systems in modernizing public financial management and ensuring that local governments’ budgeting processes are outcome-oriented rather than input-driven. Additionally, the review identifies several institutional challenges that hinder the effective implementation of PBB and SAKIP, such as weak governance structures, inadequate technical expertise, and resistance to change within local bureaucracies. Despite these challenges, the article underscores the opportunities for enhancing governance through improved capacity building, data systems, and alignment between local and national priorities. By addressing these challenges, the study concludes that local governments can better contribute to the success of the Nawacita program, achieving its goals of reducing inequality, improving public services, and fostering inclusive development. Ultimately, the article emphasizes the importance of institutional support and sustained commitment to reform for the successful integration of performance-based management tools in Indonesian local governance.

Abstract

This study explores how selected ASEAN countries Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand strategically diversified their trade partnerships in response to the global trade war ripple effects in 2025. Amid intensifying geopolitical tension, technological decoupling, and rising non-tariff trade barriers, these countries have adopted distinct strategies: Vietnam pursues export-led realignment, Indonesia promotes resource-based sovereignty, and Thailand engages in hybrid sectoral diplomacy. Through qualitative content analysis of trade policy documents and institutional reports, the study identifies a shared pattern of reduced dependence on traditional powers while highlighting the fragmented nature of ASEAN-wide coordination. The findings offer new insights into "pragmatic diversification"—a flexible and nationally calibrated trade strategy. Although ASEAN's collective frameworks remain secondary to national priorities, the country-level strategies show promise for enhancing regional resilience. The study contributes to the literature by connecting strategic trade theory with current policy evidence, offering a forward-looking, comparative assessment of diversification under trade war disruption. It concludes with implications for regional policy coherence and institutional capacity building
