Abstract

Gastropoda merupakan hewan moluska (bertubuh lunak) yang bercangkang dan bergerak dengan perutnya. Gastropoda dapat berasosiasi dengan ekosistem lamun, karena menjadi sumber penyedia makanan, tempat memijah, berkembang biak, dan tempat berlindung dari predator. Kondisi lamun dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kelimpahan dan jenis gastropoda dalam perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asosiasi gastropoda terhadap kerapatan lamun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu metode purposive sampling, dengan menggunakan transek kuadran 1 x 1 m. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu gastropoda yang ditemukan di Pesisir Labuhan, Sepulu, Bangkalan yaitu jenis Clypeomorus bifasciata dengan kelimpahan tertinggi sebesar 301,5 ind/m2, sedangkan kelimpahan gastropoda terendah yaitu Coralliophila caribaea, Cypraea dillwyni, Nerita planospira dengan nilai 0,5 ind/m2. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) dengan kategori “sedang” yaitu sekitar 1,115-1,35, indeks keseragaman (E) “rendah” sekitar 0,25-0,28 dan indeks dominasi (C) “sedang” sekitar 0,39-0,44. Lamun yang ditemukan 1 jenis yaitu Thalassia hemprichii, dengan kerapatan antara 50-61 ind/m2 dalam kondisi “jarang”. Asosiasi gastropoda dengan kerapatan lamun diperoleh nilai korelasi Pearson Product Moment sebesar 0,684 termasuk kriteria hubungan kuat, dengan nilai r hitung lebih tinggi dari r tabel (0,684 >0,666). Hal ini diperkuat dengan uji t dimana t hitung lebih tinggi dari t tabel (2,480 > t tabel 2,365), sehingga membuktikan adanya asosiasi yang kuat dan searah antara gastropoda dengan kerapatan lamun, artinya semakin tinggi kerapatan lamun semakin kuat untuk mendukung tingginya kepadatan gastropoda.

Abstract

White sea bass (Lates calcalifer) is a fish commodity that has high economic value. Generally, the problems with sea bass production are the high price of feed and lack of feed efficiency. The need for efficiency efforts in feed can be done by adding natural supplements to feed white sea bass. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of adding bio-immune to feed on growth and the best dose. The research results show a very real difference in influence. Providing bio-immune at a dose of 10 ml/1 kg of feed provided an increase in growth of 52.96 gr. The results of the analysis of variance on the growth of white snapper showed that the calculated F value was greater than the F table. The water temperature range during the study was in the optimal range, namely 26-30°C, water salinity was around 28-30 ppt, and water pH was around 7.5-7.7.

Abstract

Sustained provision of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium (NPK) fertilizers can have a negative impact on the environment and surrounding communities. This research aims to determine the status of water pollution and the suitability index of cultivated land in Glagah Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency. This research was carried out in March–May 2023 and was carried out in Glagah Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency. The sample collection method used in this research is to use a proportional sampling technique. Intuitive sampling of land suitability requires a matrix of characteristics of constructed pond land based on spatial criteria that have been adjusted to the characteristics and living conditions of fish. Meanwhile, to determine the level of pollution using the Family Biotic Index (FBI) method. The results of this research show the status of water pollution in pond rice fields due to NPK irrigation in Glagah Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency, which means that at station 1, station 1 obtained a result of 5.5 including the category of highwater quality or pollution with quite a lot of organic matter, station 2 obtained a result of 7. .2 including the buiruik water quality category or very much polluted organic matter, station 3 got a result of 6.7 including the buiruik water quality category or very much organic matter polluted. Meanwhile, the suitability index for cultivation land in pond rice fields in Glagah District, Lamongan Regecy shows that station 1, station 2 and station 3 are included in the conditional suitability criteria (S3).

Abstract

The construction of Jatigede Reservoir caused a change in the profession of the community from farmers to fishermen. This study aims to analyze the profile of fisheries communities and fishing gear in Jatigede Reservoir. This research used survey method with purposive random sampling. The research locations included Cisitu, Wado, Darmaraja, Jatigede and Jatinunggal sub-districts. The results showed that the fisheries community around Jatigede Reservoir consisted of 54% fishermen, 34% cultivators and 12% processors. The dominant fishing gear used by the Jatigede Reservoir fishery community is the spread net (77%), followed by fishing hooks (22%), and anco (1%). The most common type of fish caught is Nile Tilapia. Fishermen's preferences in choosing fishing gear are based on technical, socio-cultural and official rules.

Abstract

Fishery product processing industry waste that has the potential to be used into high added value products is fish eggs. The highest nutritional content of fish eggs after water is protein, so they are very suitable for making protein concentrate products. This article aims to review the use of fish eggs as a protein concentrate product. The research method used is a literature study on protein concentrates made from fish eggs, especially commercial fish which are used as raw materials for the processing industry. Literature search using the Google Chrome search engine. The discussion concentrates on the proximate composition of fish eggs, the manufacture of protein concentrate and the proximate composition of fish egg protein concentrate. The data obtained was analyzed in a comparative descriptive manner. Based on the results of the review, it can be stated that fish eggs as a waste product from the fish processing industry can be made or utilized into protein concentrate products. The principle of the manufacturing stages is to remove as much water and fat as possible from the fish eggs. Fish egg protein concentrate products can be applied as complementary foods for baby's breast milk (MP-ASI).

Abstract

Sidoarjo has a large aquaculture area, but it is a dense city with rapid industrial development. Thus, aquaculture activities such as milkfish, which is a leading commodity, are threatened by water pollution by waste and decreased water quality. Related to this, the purpose of this study is to examine the content of heavy metals lead (Pb) and arsenic (As) in milkfish (Chanos chanos). These metals are substances that have the potential to pollute river aquaculture water sources because they are found in many industrial and household wastes such as paint waste, batteries, insecticides, and pesticides, which are also likely to accumulate in aquatic biota.  This study used observation and purposive sampling methods for sampling and measuring water quality, while testing heavy metals Pb and As with ICP-MS, and quantitative descriptive data analysis of several parameters including Geo-Accumulation Index (Igeo), Contamination Factor (CF), and Bio-Concentration Factor (BCF). Based on the results of the study, Pb content in water at the three points was not detected / ND. As in water obtained an average of 0.030 mg/l. While, lead in sediment the average value is 7.84 mg/kg, and 3.30 mg/kg for As. Pb in milkfish was found to average 0.082 mg/kg, and As was 0.277 mg/kg. Overall, Pb and As at the three points were still below the established threshold. However, the average concentration of As metal in water has exceeded the quality standard of KepMen LH No. 51 Th. 2004.  Based on the calculation data of the Igeo index, CF, and BCF, the accumulation rate is low so that the level of pollution and contamination is considered safe. Water quality measurements are said to be good for milkfish aquaculture growth at all three points because they meet the optimal value standards for salinity, pH, DO, brightness and temperature.

Abstract

Occupational safety at sea does not only depend on the vessel, crew and equipment, but also on the readiness of the equipment to be used any time before departing and during the operation of vessel. The aims of research are are identifying activities and potential risks of work accidents using job safety analysis on purse seine vessels, and analyzing the value of the hazard level in fishing activities using risk assessment. The methods used in research are survey methods, interviews and documentation. Data analyze using job safety analyze, risk assessment with qualitative descriptive method. The result of research described that activities on board the purse seine are divided into several activities, they are preparation, operations which include setting, hauling and handling of fish. Analysis of fishing work activities on purse seine vessels focus in the study of fishing operations and handling of catches. The average value of the hazard level during the preparation process is medium, the hazard level during setting and hauling is low and medium, then when handling the hazard level is medium.

Abstract

Mangrove area of Pering located in East Bunguran District which has the potential for a mangrove ecosystem. This area has an important ecological role as a habitat for various types of aquatic biota, one of them is mud crabs (Scylla sp.). This biota is widely distributed in Indonesian coast, including mangrove area of Pering. Scylla sp. as a key species that responsible for various processes in mangrove areas. The abundance of mud crabs is still under threat from nature and human activities, such as overfishing and overexploitation. Therefore, the aim of this research was to identify the types of mud crabs species from the mangrove area of Pering, Natuna Regency. The research was conducted in August 2023, the sample collection was done using the exploration method. Thus, the identification was carried out based on the morphological characteristics. The type of mud crabs found in the mangrove area of Pering, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands consisted of two species, such as Scylla serrata and Scylla tranquebarica.

Abstract

Ecolabel certification is one of the requirements that must be met to export vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) with European and American destination countries. The research method uses a mix method (qualitative and quantitative). The sampling technique uses the Global Aquaculture Alliance-Best Aquaculture Practices (GAA-BAP) checklist. Data were collected using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis with primary and secondary data approaches. The total value of GAA-BAP application in PT YSI's vannamei shrimp pond for the critical questions category and the scored questions category is above the minimum percentage of achievement of GAA-BAP ecolabel certification by obtaining a total value of 96.4% and 90.6%. The results of quality testing of vannamei shrimp cultivated by PT YSI show that vannamei shrimp meet the criteria for GAA-BAP ecolabel certification. PT YSI's cultivation performance is in accordance with the company's target by obtaining an average harvest of 2.1 tons/pond and a total harvest of 61,488 kg/30 ponds with a productivity value of 50.5 tons/ha of 20m² diameter ponds. This can be achieved with FCR values of 1.68, SR 92.80%, ADG 0.26, MBW 22.8 gr, average size 43 and total feed 103,603 kg. The average water quality value is DO 5.12 mg/l, temperature 32 °C, salinity 38 ppt and pH 7.8.

Abstract

The two phases of handling fish catches include on-board handling and landing/unloading processes. Through this approach, the quality of catches can be maintained along the fishery supply chain, from ships to consumers, which contributes to the sustainability of the fishing industry as well as the provision of quality fishery products. This study aimed to analyze the process of fish handling in KMN. Dua Putri 02 and Fish Auction Site (TPI). The study was conducted from November 3, 2023, to December 29, 2023, at PPS Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. The results of this study provided in-depth insight into the process of handling fish in both locations. On KMN. Dua Putri 02, the process began with the preparation of tools, the removal of fish from the net to the hold, and the application of ice to the hatch. At TPI, the process started with the preparation of tools for unloading, the transfer of fish from the hold to the sorting place, sorting by type, size, and physical shape, and then weighing and distributing the fish to the point of sale or auction of fish. The conclusion of this study provided a comprehensive overview of the flow of fish handling from vessels to TPI, offering a basis for improving efficiency and quality in the fishing industry.
