Abstract

The use of standard language in official letters can make understanding easier for readers. Communication via letters is an important form of written communication. Official letters, as a means of written communication between interested parties, have various important functions, including as a means of written communication, authentic evidence, historical evidence, ambassadors/representatives, and guidelines. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyzing errors in writing official letters by teachers and staff at SMP Negeri 2 Sangatta Utara. In the letters that have been analyzed, there are several errors found ranging from formatting errors, errors in the use of spelling, punctuation, and word choice. This research shows that there are many errors in writing official letters for students at SMP Negeri 2 Sangatta Utara. This error is caused by several factors, including lack of understanding of teachers and staff, lack of training, lack of guidance, and lack of facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, efforts need to be made to overcome these errors, such as providing a deeper understanding, providing more practice in writing official letters, providing more intensive guidance, and providing adequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This research aims to shape students' social identities experiencing significant transformation, especially regarding the use of technology. Using a qualitative approach with case studies as the main method, data was collected through participant observation, interviews with teachers and students, as well as content analysis of digital platforms used in the learning process. The results show that teachers have a significant role in guiding students on the healthy and responsible use of technology, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students feel safe to share thoughts and ideas. This holistic approach also helps students develop a strong and balanced social identity, which is an important aspect in facing the increasingly complex challenges of the modern world. The practical implications of this research are the importance of teacher training in the use of technology for positive educational purposes, as well as the need for support from all stakeholders to create an educational ecosystem that supports students' holistic development in the digital era.

Abstract

State Elementary School 008 Muara Wahau has a flagship program that is a foreign language learning program (English and Arabic) with the hope of achieving predetermined goals. This study aims to determine the role of the principal in improving school quality through excellent programs, and to determine the principal's strategy in improving school quality through excellent programs at SDN 008 Muara Wahau. The qualitative method was applied in this study. The descriptive technique was employed in the investigation. Data collecting methods include observation and interviews. The findings of this study indicate that (1) the principal's role in improving school quality through excellent programs is that of an educator, manager, administrator, and supervisor; and (2) the principal's strategy for improving school quality through excellent programs is that of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising.

Abstract

This study explores the competency of education staff at MIN 1 Kutai Timur, a state Islamic Islamic school in East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The competence of educational staff is perceived as a key factor in achieving optimal quality of education in the madrasah. Through a qualitative approach using interview methods, this study collected in-depth data about the profile, qualifications, perceptions, evaluations, training, challenges and leadership support for the competence of educational staff. Findings show that leadership actively supports activities and training aimed at increasing competence, especially those related to the use of digital technology such as the Si Pintar application. Efforts to increase the competency of education staff at MIN 1 Kutai Timur have shown positive results in terms of performance and quality of education. Even though the performance assessment shows good results, improvements continue to be made to ensure that the quality of education gets better in the future. Overall, the commitment and hard work of all education staff as well as support from school leaders creates an environment that supports increasing competency and quality of education at MIN 1 Kutai Timur. Despite facing challenges such as limited quality human resources and technological infrastructure, strong support from school leaders has had a positive impact on improving the quality of education at MIN 1 Kutai Timur.

Abstract

Mental health problems are increasingly widespread and a serious issue that needs to be addressed, with around 450 million people worldwide, including in Indonesia, experiencing mental disorders. Suicide cases in Indonesia show an alarming trend. According to the data obtained, suicide is one of the leading causes of death among adolescents and adults. Therefore, it is important to have treatment or provision as early as possible to avoid this. In this context, Islam as a comprehensive religion has provided guidance for each individual to maintain mental health, such as through the practice of worship and so on. This research aims to examine how to build a healthy soul according to Islamic teachings that can be applied in everyday life. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, namely by examining texts or documents that are in accordance with the issues raised. The results showed that Islam teaches several important principles for maintaining mental health, including tawakkal (surrender to Allah), patience, gratitude, dhikr, maintaining a balance between the life of the world and the hereafter, community and social support, and the importance of education and knowledge. These principles can be the basis for efforts to prevent and treat mental health problems, in addition to practising these principles will increase one's faith.

Abstract

The planning, arranging, staffing, and supervision of every aspect of education in Islamic institutions are all part of the systematic operations known as Islamic Education Management. Curriculum design, staff and teaching staff management, student management, facility and financial management, community connections, and the creation of a work culture that supports learning are all starting points. For Islamic educational institutions to remain viable and advance, Islamic education management is crucial. Islamic educational institutions will be able to maintain their relevance, quality, and beneficial social impact with the support of effective administration. We must appropriately comprehend and implement the idea of Islamic-based educational administration if we are to meet the anticipated learning objectives. As a result, we need to examine this concept's consequences and significance in greater detail.

Abstract

In the world of education, learning innovation can be defined as developing and creating new innovations such as methods or technology used for learning with the aim of increasing efficiency, effectiveness and relevance to deal with changing times in the learning process. Teachers can innovate in various ways, including through the use of technology. various ways such as, the use of technology, curriculum changes, new teaching approaches and better evaluation methods. Learning innovation can be in the form of ideas, goods, or methods as something new in the world of education.  In order for students not to be bored and interested in participating in learning activities, teachers must be creative and imaginative in providing teaching. The method used in this article is library research, by collecting data in the form of books, journals and articles related to learning innovation in the digital era. Examples of learning innovations that can be done in the digital era include e-learning, blended learning, cloud learning, hybrid learning, and flipped learning.

Abstract

Integration of science is the process of harmonizing science with religion. However, it is still found in society that people are more concerned with general science than religious science, and vice versa. So this research is intended to describe the purpose of science integration, and the relationship between science and Islam, problems and solutions to the integration of Islam and science, and the importance of integration. The method in this research is library research method. The results show that the integration of science is a complementary construction process, where science serves to complement theological knowledge (faith), and vice versa. The relationship between Islam and science is that science provides tools and accelerates progress, while Islam determines the purpose and direction of human efforts. The importance of integration is due to the fact that Muslims need a system of science that can fulfill their material and spiritual needs, where the current scientific method is not able to meet these needs. Meanwhile, the problems of integration in the community are the lack of facilities and infrastructure, the educational background of teachers, etc. The solution to overcome these problems is to improve the quality of teachers, integrate science with religious disciplines, make God's creation as a learning infrastructure, provide Islamic religious education laboratories, and others.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in fostering students' creativity and innovation to face the challenges of modern life while upholding Islamic values. This study aims to explore the role of PAI teachers in promoting the development of students' creativity and innovation, as well as identifying the challenges and solutions in the learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Sangatta Utara. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation, which are analyzed using an interactive model (data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing). The findings indicate that PAI teachers play a central role as facilitators, motivators, and inspirers in learning activities that support students' creativity development. The use of technology-based learning methods, project-based approaches, and digital media helps students think critically and creatively. Teachers also create an interactive learning environment that allows students to explore, discuss, and collaborate. The school principal and PAI teachers emphasize the importance of teacher training and learning approaches aligned with contemporary developments to encourage students to learn actively and creatively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the institution in providing legal aid in divorce cases, as well as identifying the challenges faced and solutions that can be applied in providing legal aid in divorce cases in Sangatta. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the interactive technique of Miles and Huberman, which includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and data verification to produce valid and credible findings. This research was conducted at LBH Suara Rakyat Kutim which is located at Jalan H Abdullah, Gang Pipos, Sangatta Utara Village, Sangatta Utara District, East Kutai and took place from August 2024 to February 2025. The results of the study show that: 1) The Legal Aid Institute (LBH) Suara Rakyat Kutai Timur (SRKT) has a very important role in providing legal aid in divorce cases, especially for the underprivileged. LBH SRKT not only plays a role in providing legal advocacy, assistance in the trial process, and drafting lawsuits, but also in improving public legal literacy through counseling and consultation. 2) LBH SRKT also faces a number of challenges in handling divorce cases, such as limited public legal knowledge, social stigma that prevents individuals from expressing their legal problems, and tensions between state law and customary law that affect the division of joint property and child custody. In facing these challenges, LBH SRKT has implemented various solutions, such as the establishment of Legal Aid Posts (Posbakum) and collaborating with religious courts and district courts to provide legal aid services that are more easily accessible to the public. This solution has proven effective in improving public legal understanding and accelerating the process of resolving divorce cases.
