Abstract

The challenges of modern education demand not only academic achievement but also the cultivation of students’ noble character. In this context, the role of principals in Integrated Islamic Senior High Schools (SMA IT) becomes highly strategic. This study aims to analyze and describe the role and influence of principals’ Islamic integrative leadership on improving the performance of educational staff within SMA IT. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological method was employed. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with principals and educational staff as well as participant observation. Analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that Islamic integrative leadership which combines modern leadership models such as transformational, instructional, democratic, servant, and distributive leadership with Islamic values such as exemplary conduct (uswah hasanah), consultation (syura), trustworthiness (amanah), justice, and a clear vision significantly enhances the performance of educational staff. The integration of these values creates a work culture imbued with a spirit of worship, collaboration, and quality orientation. Educational staff become more motivated, loyal, and productive as they view their work as part of worship. This study concludes that Islamic integrative leadership is not merely a leadership style but an effective organizational culture foundation at SMA IT. Its implementation has been proven to empower educational staff, improve their performance, and support the achievement of sustainable Islamic educational goals. This leadership model is recommended for broader development in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Transformational Leadership, Work Climate, and Skill Variety on the effectiveness of teacher work teams at Integrated Islamic Junior High Schools in the Riau Islands Province. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample consists of 120 teachers selected through proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument is a Likert-scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using Spearman correlation tests and non-parametric regression with the aid of SPSS version 29.00. The results show that all independent variables are positively and significantly related to teacher work team effectiveness (Transformational Leadership: ρ = 0.757; Work Climate: ρ = 0.795; Skill Variety: ρ = 0.767; p < 0.05). Non-parametric regression testing indicates a significant simultaneous effect (ρ = 0.000). Partially, Transformational Leadership (p = 0.253; p = 0.000), Work Climate (ρ = 0.355; p = 0.000), and Skill Variety (ρ = 0.282; p = 0.000) significantly influence teacher work team effectiveness. Work climate is proven to be the dominant factor affecting team effectiveness. The implications of this study affirm that improving teacher work team effectiveness must be carried out holistically through strengthening school principals’ transformational leadership, creating a conducive work climate, and developing teachers’ skill variety.

Abstract

The rapid diffusion of Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) services has reshaped consumption in emerging economies. This article  examines how materialistic value orientations stimulate impulsive buying through BNPL usage among Indonesian PayLater users. A cross-sectional survey of 670 respondents was analysed with partial least-squares structural-equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Materialism had a strong positive effect on BNPL adoption (β = 0.762) and a moderate direct effect on impulsive buying (β = 0.350). BNPL, in turn, exerted a substantial impact on impulsive buying (β = 0.480) and partially mediated the materialism–impulsivity link (indirect β = 0.366). The model explained 65% of BNPL variance and 72% of impulsive buying variance, while exhibiting acceptable fit indices (SRMR = 0.035; NFI = 0.885). Findings highlight BNPL’s dual role as a financial innovation and a behavioural catalyst, raising implications for platform design, consumer literacy programmes, and regulatory oversight.

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to determine or to re-examine the performances of broiler chickens fed ration containing cinnamon bark powder (Cinnamomum burmannii).  Eighty of CP 707 broiler chickens aged of 2 weeks were used and kept until 6 weeks old. Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications each treatment was used in this study; the treatments used were, T0= 100% basal ration without cinnamon bark powder (CBP), T1= 99.5% basal ration + 0.5% CBP, T2= 99% basal ration + 1% CBP, T3= 98.5% basal ration + 1.5 % CBP, and T4= 98% basal ration + 2% CBP.  The measurements taken were feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, and final body weight. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan test showed that, giving cinnamon bark powder up to 2% in the ration had an effect on CP 707 broiler chickens aged 2-6 weeks; had a very significantly different effect (P<0.01) on body weight gained and so, on final body weight; and significantly different (P <0.05) on feed conversion, but not on feed consumption. In this study, the higher the level of CBP in the ration, the weight gained and final body weight decreased but feed conversion increased.  Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that giving cinnamon bark powder as a natural feed additive up to 2% in the feed did not improve the performance of CP 707 broiler chickens, because of weight gained and final body weight of the chickens decreased, while, feed conversion increased, which means that, economically it was not getting better.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of customer-driven excellence strategy in the Umrah travel industry in Depok City by investigating the relationships between service quality, brand credibility, perceived value, and customer-driven excellence outcomes. Using a quantitative research approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from 105 customers who have utilized Umrah travel services within the past two years. The measurement model demonstrated excellent reliability and validity, with all constructs meeting stringent psychometric criteria for convergent and discriminant validity. The structural model reveals that all three hypotheses are strongly supported, with brand credibility emerging as the most influential factor (β = 0.398, p < 0.001), followed by perceived value (β = 0.356, p < 0.001) and service quality (β = 0.285, p < 0.001). The integrated model explains 74.2% of variance in customer-driven excellence, demonstrating strong explanatory power and large predictive relevance (Q² = 0.486). These findings provide empirical evidence that successful customer-driven excellence strategy requires integrated approaches prioritizing brand credibility development while simultaneously enhancing perceived value and service quality. The study offers valuable insights for Umrah travel operators seeking to optimize competitive advantage through comprehensive customer excellence strategies that address both functional and emotional dimensions of religious tourism services.
