Abstract

This study examines the effect of Sales Promotion on Impulse Buying, with Emotions as a mediator among Shopee consumers in Surakarta. A quantitative descriptive method was used, collecting data through an online questionnaire. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique with specific criteria: residing in Surakarta, at least 17 years old, and having previously shopped on Shopee. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing using t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings reveal that Sales Promotion has a positive and significant impact on both Emotions and Impulse Buying, with Emotions acting as a mediator. Effective promotional strategies by Shopee enhance consumers’ positive emotions, leading to increased impulsive buying behavior and customer satisfaction. However, this study is limited by its narrow scope and the exclusion of other factors that may influence Impulse Buying. Future research should consider additional variables such as psychological conditions, environmental influences, product categories, as well as demographic and personality factors. Expanding the study area is also recommended to improve result validity and provide a broader understanding of consumer behavior in e-commerce.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Determinants of Financial Distress during the Fiscal Loss Compensation Period (Empirical Study of Manufacturing Companies Listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the 2020-2023 Period). This research uses secondary data obtained from the company's annual financial reports. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. A total of 36 companies have met the criteria as observation units. The analytical methods used include descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The results of this research indicate that the variables Profitability, Liquidity and Operating Cash Flow have an influence on Financial Distress. Meanwhile, the Leverage variable has no influence on Financial Distress.

Abstract

Firm value measures the amount of a company's stock market price against its book value as an illustration of investors' perceptions of their confidence in the company for good performance prospects in the future. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, and managerial ownership on firm value in manufacture companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020–2022. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. This research sample consists of 46 companies that meet the criteria as a unit of analysis. The results provide empirical evidence that profitability has effect firm value, Meanwhile liquidity, leverage, and managerial ownership have no effect on firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the economic impact of usury (riba) on Islamic economics and the challenges faced in applying Islamic economic principles in the context of economic globalization. Riba, which is strictly prohibited in Islamic law, is seen as a source of economic injustice that exacerbates social and economic inequalities. The research analyzes how the principles of social justice and balance, which are the foundation of Islamic economics, can offer solutions to the inequality issues caused by the interest-based system. Through a literature analysis and case study approach, it was found that while the application of Islamic economics faces significant challenges in the context of the global capitalist system, the principles embedded in Islamic finance, such as justice, balance, and social sustainability, can provide a more stable and ethical alternative. The findings of this study suggest that Islamic economics has the potential to offer solutions to global economic instability and contribute to more equitable economic sustainability. This research also provides suggestions for future studies on the implementation of Islamic economics in a financial world increasingly influenced by digitalization and financial technologies.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is one of the things that triggers customer loyalty to a product or service. This study investigates the effect of trust and convenience on customer satisfaction. It also investigates whether customer satisfaction is a good mediator. This study surveyed patients at Tritya Eye Clinic Surabaya. Using purposive sampling method with sample criteria being patients who have been treated at the Clinic, 152 respondents were obtained. The data was then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings show that trust and convenience contribute positively to customer satisfaction. The study also proved that customer satisfaction mediates the relationship of trust and convenience to customer loyalty. This study contributes to understanding marketing management using the trust and convenience framework in healthcare companies, which can also be applied to other general companies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of gender inclusiveness, employee engagement, and social support on employee performance at PT Intan Timur Energi, with psychological safety as a mediating variable. In the context of globalisation and increasingly complex digitalisation, effective human resource management is very important. Gender inclusiveness in the workplace is proven to increase innovation and team effectiveness, while employee engagement acts as an indicator of successful HR management. Social support from superiors and co-workers also contributes to employees' emotional well-being. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design to test the relationship between variables. The analysis results show that all independent variables have a positive influence on employee performance, and psychological safety serves as a significant mediator. The findings contribute to the HR management literature as well as practical recommendations for companies in creating an inclusive and productive work environment. It is hoped that this research can serve as a reference for the development of better management strategies in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between workload and job stress among logistics employees at PT. Wahana Lintas Nusantara, highlighting the role of work-life balance as a mediator. In the logistics industry, high workloads often lead to job stress, which negatively impacts employee well-being and company productivity. This research involved 120 operational employees as respondents, who completed questionnaires related to workload, job stress, and work-life balance. Path analysis was employed to identify both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that workload has a significant positive effect on job stress, indicating that the higher the workload experienced by employees, the greater the level of stress they feel. However, work-life balance plays a significant mediating role, where a balanced work and personal life can mitigate the negative impact of workload on job stress. These findings suggest that company efforts to support work-life balance, such as flexible work schedules, adequate leave, and mental health programs, can help employees manage stress and enhance their well-being. This study provides valuable insights for the management of PT. Wahana Lintas Nusantara in designing policies that promote work-life balance for employees. Furthermore, it contributes to the academic literature on the relationship between workload, job stress, and work-life balance in the logistics sector, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction, financial compensation, and organizational culture on employee retention at PT Campina Ice Cream Industry Tbk. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to 145 randomly selected respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the relationship between the variables studied. The results showed that job satisfaction, financial compensation, and organizational culture have a positive and significant influence on employee retention, both partially and simultaneously. Financial compensation is the most dominant variable in influencing employee retention, followed by job satisfaction and organizational culture. Simultaneously, the three variables explain 90.7% of the variation in employee retention, while the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the work environment, work discipline and communication on the job satisfaction of employees of Bankaltimtara Unit Usaha Syariah KC Balikpapan. The type of research used is quantitative research. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling with a sample size of 55 employees of Bankaltimtara Sharia Business Unit KC Balikpapan. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires. This research uses SmartPLS to process data. The data analysis method in this research uses outer models, inner models, basic equations and booststrapping tests. The results of this research show that work environment variables have a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of employees of Bankaltimtara Unit Usaha Syariah KC Balikpapan. The work discipline variable has a positive and significant influence on the job satisfaction of employees of Bankaltimtara Sharia Business Unit KC Balikpapan. And the communication variable has a positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction at Bankaltimtara Unit Usaha Syariah KC Balikpapan.

Abstract

One of the drivers of the Indonesian economy is micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Business actors are increasingly developing in all things, especially finance, along with advances in time and technology. Good financial recording is the most important part of a business. If the business owner has neat and correct financial resources, then he will have no difficulty applying for capital or credit to the bank. An analysis has been carried out on the use of digital applications to improve MSME financial reporting in accordance with technological developments. This research was conducted with direct insight, aiming to find out the best way to manage the finances of small and medium MSME businesses so that they can produce neat financial reports. MSMEs are advised to have non-cash payment tools such as EDC & Qris machines to make it easier and keep up with technological developments, with non-cash payments it can make it easier to make financial reports.
