Abstract

Southeast Asia is one of the fastest-growing social media regions in the world, where digital platforms increasingly shape the formation and prioritization of public issues. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in promoting issues to the public and policy agendas, the factors influencing its effectiveness, and the structural limitations that constrain this process. The study applies Agenda Setting Theory and Framing Theory through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature was collected from Scopus, Web of Science, SAGE Journals, Taylor & Francis Online, and Frontiers, focusing on open-access articles published between 2018 and 2026 that examined Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. A total of 10 articles met the inclusion criteria. The findings identify three major themes: issue mobilization and digital civic participation, issue framing and its influence on policy dynamics, and structural weaknesses including algorithmic bias, misinformation, and digital repression. Social media can serve as an effective agenda-setting catalyst; however, its influence remains highly dependent on the interaction of technological, political, and civic capacity factors.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the form and effectiveness of legal protection for the rights of outsourced workers from the perspective of the principle of freedom of contract. A non-empirical normative juridical method was used in this study, employing both conceptual and legislative approaches. The results indicate that although the basic rights of outsourced workers are guaranteed normatively, such as occupational safety, social security, and the right to a living wage, in practice, this protection remains weak. Law No. 6 of 2023 removes restrictions on the types of work that can be outsourced, potentially expanding outsourcing practices to include core jobs. Furthermore, the responsibility for protecting workers' rights rests solely with the labor-providing companies, not with the service users, who directly utilize the labor. Unclear implementing regulations and weak labor supervision worsen the bargaining position of outsourced workers. Therefore, clear derivative regulations are needed, affirmation of legal responsibilities for user companies, and strengthening the supervision system and legal assistance for outsourced workers. Outsourcing (alih daya) as a provider of workers by another party is carried out first by separating the main work (core business) from the supporting work (non-core business) in a written document prepared by company management. In conducting outsourcing, the company using outsourcing services cooperates with the outsourcing company, where the legal relationship is realized in a cooperation agreement that includes, among other things, the term of the agreement and the fields that constitute forms of outsourcing cooperation. This study aims to determine the legal certainty of security personnel under the principle of freedom of contract.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the driving factors, barriers, and formulate strategic interventions for labor migration from districts to cities. This phenomenon reflects the structural imbalance of regional development in Indonesia, where cities serve as economic growth centers offering opportunities unavailable in rural areas, while districts face limited access to labor markets, capital, and technology. The method employed is library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach through content analysis of various scientific literature, BPS reports, and related policy documents. The findings reveal that the driving factors of migration include income and employment disparities, structural-institutional inequalities, socio-demographic factors, environmental degradation, and psychosocial aspirations. On the other hand, the barriers encountered encompass financial constraints, limited information access, socio-cultural ties, skill gaps, and administrative bureaucracy. The formulated strategies include strengthening local economies in districts, facilitating safe migration through micro-credit schemes and vocational training, as well as protecting migrants in cities through administrative digitalization and competency certification. In conclusion, labor migration requires an integrated policy approach that not only controls the flow but also improves structural conditions in origin areas and protects migrants in destination areas, so that labor mobility can take place productively and equitably.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with high religious, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity, requiring continuous efforts to maintain unity and social harmony. Interfaith solidarity represents a form of social interaction that can strengthen relationships among communities within a diverse society. This study aims to analyze interfaith solidarity in the celebration of the 1st Century of Nahdlatul Ulama in Malang based on the values of the third principle of Pancasila and to explain its contribution to strengthening social unity. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through a literature review. Data were collected from books, scientific journals, official documents, and media publications relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that the 1st Century celebration of Nahdlatul Ulama in Malang received support from several churches that provided transit facilities, rest areas, sanitation facilities, and logistical assistance for participants. Such support reflects tolerance, social concern, and cooperation among communities with different religious backgrounds. The solidarity demonstrated during the event reflects the implementation of the third principle of Pancasila, namely the value of Indonesian Unity, through togetherness, brotherhood, and mutual cooperation. Harmonious social relations contribute to strengthening unity, maintaining social harmony, and reinforcing social integration within Indonesia's diverse society.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply understand the experiences and meaning-making of Generation Z students at STTB The Way Jakarta regarding the shifting meaning of jazz music at the Prambanan Jazz Festival 2025. Using Clark Moustakas' qualitative phenomenological approach, the study involved six active students from various study programs who have knowledge and experience related to jazz and the festival. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 16 open-ended questions and document observation of artist line-ups, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model through data reduction, data display, data processing, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal a fundamental shift in the meaning of jazz from intimate, improvisational pure art to popular entertainment commodities oriented toward lifestyle and economic profit, manifested in three forms of commodification: genre branding commodification (jazz as an aesthetic umbrella), musical commodification (arrangement simplification for Generation Z's taste), and spatial-symbolic commodification (desacralization of Prambanan Temple as social media content backdrop). This study enriches the sociology of music and cultural industry discourse by presenting the unique perspective of theology students who demonstrate critical-realistic awareness in navigating the tension between artistic value purity and market pragmatism, while also providing important implications for developing theology education curricula that integrate critical media literacy and cultural studies to equip future congregation leaders in facing the currents of popular cultural commodification.

Abstract

This paper addresses the phenomenon wherein voter data frequently emerges as a critical issue in elections, often becoming the subject of legal challenges before the Constitutional Court. Recurring problems include issues regarding voter data accuracy, voters lacking civil registration documents, and a lack of accommodations for voters with disabilities and vulnerable groups, all of which prevent citizens from exercising their right to vote. In response to this situation, the law has mandated the General Elections Commission (KPU) to update voter data and compile voter lists, thereby assigning the KPU—as the election organizer—the responsibility of guaranteeing the right to vote. Fulfilling this responsibility entails compiling accurate and accountable voter lists, facilitating a seamless process for voters relocating to different areas, ensuring accommodations for voters with disabilities and vulnerable groups, and guaranteeing voting rights for voters in special locations. As the institution responsible for safeguarding the right to vote, the KPU faces four potential legal consequences should it fail to discharge these obligations: administrative election violations, criminal election offenses, election result disputes before the Constitutional Court, and violations of the election organizers' code of ethics.

Abstract

This article investigates how the variation of Qur'anic readings (qirā'āt) in QS. al-Mā'idah: 54 opens a new semantic space for reinterpreting the gradual erosion of religious commitment among contemporary Muslim netizens a phenomenon termed "digital faith erosion." Through qualitative library research employing an interdisciplinary approach (linguistic-qirā'āt analysis, comparative tafsīr, and religious identity theory), this study finds that the morphological difference between yartadda (idghām, majority reading) and yartadid (iẓhār, Ḥamzah and al-Kisā'ī) generates two distinct semantic layers: (1) formal/legal riddah denoting an abrupt, decisive act of apostasy and (2) symbolic/gradual riddah reflecting a slow, iterative erosion of spiritual commitment occurring in digital spaces through exposure to nihilism, religious relativism, and algorithmic consumerism. Classical exegetes (al-Ṭabarī and Ibn Kathīr) contextualise the verse within the historical Ridda Wars, adopting a political-military hermeneutic.  Contemporary exegetes (Ibn 'Āshūr and Quraish Shihab), by contrast, foreground the communal dimensions of spiritual resilience expressed through the verse's core triad: yuḥibbuhum wa yuḥibbūnahū (reciprocal love), adhillah 'alā al-mu'minīn (solidarity), and lā yakhāfūna lawmata lā'im (moral courage). This study contributes a novel theoretical framework integrating 'Ulūm al-Qur'ān with the Sociology of Digital Religion and argues that qirā'āt is not merely a technical discipline but a rich hermeneutic instrument for addressing the fragility of faith in the digital age.

Abstract

This study analyzes the optimization of integrated services in population administration registration at the Cipocok Jaya Sub-district Office, Serang City, Banten Province. The sub-district has a population of 103,922 with service requests increasing from 8,399 in 2023 to 10,249 in 2025. Research methods included direct observation, in-depth interviews with service officers and community members, and documentation analysis. Findings indicate that the integrated service system has had a positive impact, with average service times improving from 45–60 minutes to 30–40 minutes after implementing checklists and pre-verification procedures. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited human resources, information system disruptions, dual recording between manual and digital systems, and insufficient public socialization of service requirements. Proposed optimizations include enhancing human resource capacity through continuous training, reducing redundant administrative processes, improving information system quality, and strengthening public outreach regarding service requirements.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving managerial performance at PT. Arina. TQM is a management approach that emphasizes continuous improvement, the involvement of all organizational members, and a focus on customer satisfaction to achieve a company's competitive advantage. The research method used was qualitative, with primary data sources obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed based on the TQM elements implemented within the company. The results indicate that PT. Arina has implemented most of the TQM elements, including customer focus, quality obsession, a scientific approach, long-term commitment, teamwork, continuous system improvement, controlled freedom, unity of purpose, and employee involvement and empowerment. The implementation of these elements has had a positive impact on improving managerial performance and the company's operational effectiveness. However, education and training have not been optimally implemented because the company has not provided a structured and ongoing training program for employees. Therefore, improving education and training aspects is necessary to ensure more effective TQM implementation and optimally support the achievement of company goals.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged organizations to improve quality, operational effectiveness, and work productivity in order to face increasingly competitive business environments. One of the most widely adopted approaches to achieve these objectives is Total Quality Management (TQM). This study aims to analyze the relationship between TQM, operational effectiveness, and work productivity in the digital era through a literature review approach. The research method employed is a literature review by examining relevant journal articles, academic books, conference proceedings, and research reports. Data were collected through searches in various academic databases and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of TQM has a positive relationship with operational effectiveness through business process improvement, error reduction, efficient resource utilization, and data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, TQM contributes to increased work productivity through employee competency development, greater involvement in quality improvement initiatives, and enhanced work motivation and responsibility. Digital technology serves as a supporting factor that strengthens the implementation of TQM within organizations. Therefore, the integration of TQM and digital transformation can be an effective strategy for improving organizational performance and competitiveness in a sustainable manner.
