Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is how the role of the teacher of geography and what are the inhibiting factors faced by teachers of geography in the formation of character values through online learning class XI IPS 2 MAN 1 Palu. Type descriptive qualitative research with the percentage. The subject in this research is the teacher of geography and the students of class XI IPS 2 MAN 1 Palu. Data collection techniques used in this research are a questionnaire (questioner), interview, and documentation. The results showed that the geography teacher role as a motivator in the formation of character values of students of class XI IPS 2 MAN 1 Palu, teachers play a role in guiding students in the learning process, the teacher stressed to do any given task, teachers ban students cheat well it's in the task and in Deuteronomy, as well as the teacher told the students to collect the task on time, teachers guide the activities of students which is associated with religious as fixed reminiscent of prayers to the students, although the learning is done online, and always pray before the start of learning. However, in practice, there are inhibiting factors faced by teachers of geography, namely the lack of attention of parents of students in the house to guide her but only expect fully to the teacher to guide the students.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Ampera Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The purpose of this study is to explain what factors cause the low income of cocoa farmers to increase their income in Ampera Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were Cocoa Farmers, totaling eight people and selected by Snowball Sampling. Data was collected by means of observation, documentation, and interviews. The resulting data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed (1) there were two factors that resulted in the low income of farmers, namely productivity factors consisting of (age of cocoa plants, soil type, soil fertility, and land area) and garden maintenance factors consisting of (fertilization, cacao plant spacing, adequacy of labor, and pruning). (2) the efforts of cocoa farmers in Ampera Village in increasing income are very good, the government always provides counseling on the latest techniques in caring for cocoa plants so that they can produce good and quality cocoa pods.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sindue of Sindue Subdistrict, Donggala District. This research aims to know the role of social studies teachers and the factors that support and inhibit social studies teachers in increasing student interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMPN 1 Sindue. The subjects of this research were 3 social studies teachers and 30 students. The data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results indicate the role of the teacher as a motivator in increasing interest in learning social studies of students at SMPN 1 Sindue, namely: teachers help students with learning difficulties, teachers give gifts to students, teachers use varied learning methods, teachers give praise to students, teachers give tests, teachers give a value in the form of numbers, and the teacher informs the learning outcomes. Social studies subject teachers in increasing student interest in learning have played a role for their students. It can be seen using a questionnaire, students' interest in learning is still quite good even in the Covid-19 pandemic. The supporting factors for the social studies teacher's role in increasing student interest in SMP Negeri 1 Sindue during the pandemic are: Student's sincerity in learning, students' health, support from the students' parents for student learning activities, and teacher competence. The inhibiting factors are student learning difficulties due to students' low level of understanding and factors of facilities and infrastructure from students for online learning, such as smart phone and network coverage.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the history of the formation, development and dynamics of social change in education at SMK GKST in Poso. This type of descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects consisted of school principals. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: In 1961 the Christian Education and College Foundation–Central Sulawesi Christian Church issued a Decree No. 14 /C.I – I.2 / 61 stipulates that since November 29, 1961, the High School Teacher (SGA) has been officially established which has started the teaching process since August 1, 1961. The development of the Poso GKST Vocational School can be seen from its physical development and the number of teaching staff and teachers. students and students who every year has increased. The relationship between the Poso GKST Vocational School and the surrounding community can be said to be good. Teachers and students who are at SMK GKST Poso have good social relations with the community around SMK GKST Poso. Many alumni of SMK GKST Poso have finished and have professions such as working in companies, members of the TNI military, entrepreneurs and several alumni who continue in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine changes in student learning patterns and teacher efforts in dealing with changes in student learning patterns at SMAN 8 Palu during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with research subjects 2 teachers of geography and 4 students. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. The research instrument used an interview guide. The data analysis used is interactive model data analysis. The results showed that; 1) changes in student learning patterns related to making schedules and their implementation in learning, reading and taking notes, repeating geography lesson materials, concentrating on geography learning and doing assignments in geography learning. Changes in student learning patterns have not been well and optimally; 2) the teacher's efforts in changing student learning patterns during the covid-19 pandemic, namely changes in student learning patterns can be carried out but are still not optimal, due to several factors and obstacles that are owned by the students themselves.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Sirenja Student and Student Association in advancing education, the contribution of the Student and Student Association and the obstacles in advancing education in Sirenja District, Donggala Regency. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, data collection techniques used are library research and field research consisting of observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses an interactive model of data analysis technique, which has three steps, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Sirenja Student and Student Association in advancing education in Sirenja District from 2018 to 2020 is able to encourage and motivate Sirenja children to continue their education to a higher level. Contribution of the Sirenja Student and Student Association in advancing education in Sirenja District by encouraging associations that lead to education for Sirenja students and students in Palu City. The Sirenja Student and Student Association faces obstacles in advancing education in Sirenja District, by coordinating and providing input to the District and Village governments, to pay more attention to education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop social skills in students at SMA Labschool Palu, and find out the obstacles faced by teachers in developing social skills for students at SMA Labschool Palu. This research uses a qualitative research approach with the type of case study research. Data collection techniques: observation, interview, and documentation techniques which were analyzed by steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that developing social skills as a teacher strategy in implementing PAI learning for students in class at SMA Labschool Palu was carried out by: (1) using the 2013 curriculum; (2) using cooperative and contextual learning; (3) providing advice and understanding of anti-social behavior in the learning process; (4) Applying learning rules as limitations in student behavior; (5) apply exemplary nature. There are also obstacles faced by teachers in developing students' social skills at SMA Labschool Palu including: (1) the influence of technology; (2) student personality, (3) family relationship; (3) peer relations, the majority of children learn to develop good social skills by modeling the behavior of their peers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of geography learning during the covid-19 pandemic which includes learning preparation, knowing the evaluations and obstacles experienced by students and teachers, and the efforts made by teachers in implementing learning during the covid-19 pandemic at SMAN 1 Bungku Tengah, Morowali Regency with the type of qualitative descriptive research and using the object of geography subject teachers and students. Data collection using research methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of geography learning used two methods, namely online and offline. Preparation of online learning by teachers before the implementation of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic begins by preparing appropriate teaching materials in lesson plans, learning videos, ppt and assignments. Online learning ensures the availability of internet services. The implementation of online learning conveys material via zoom, teachers and students use the WhatsApp learning application to send information about learning, materials, learning animation videos, and ppt. While in face-to-face learning, the teacher conducts door-to-door learning, namely visiting students or students coming to teachers to school to carry out learning. The forms of evaluation in the implementation of learning are the duration of the assignment. The problem with online learning is that there are network service disruptions when delivering/receiving material. In contrast, offline learning has obstacles, namely access conditions and the distance from the house that must be taken, resulting in limited learning time. Online and offline learning have different syntaxes. The achievement of learning success at the SMAN 1 Bungku Tengah school is offline learning because it is superior in the ongoing learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of Offline Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic for Social Studies Geography subjects in class XI SMA Negeri Walea Besar. The subject of this research is the geography teacher of class XI IPS. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. In an effort to provide answers to the problems raised. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of Offline Learning was less effective, but in the process of delivering material to students, it was achieved. In addition, during the meeting, the teacher not only delivered learning material but also the teacher gave assignments to students according to the material being studied and taught to be done at home. a form of mastery learning assessment or complete learning. The results of the homework given by the Social Sciences Geography teacher for class XI from 12 students, in fact, there are still 4 people who are late to deliver homework and others on time, and there are still students who have not received the standard of completeness scores. In contrast, the inhibiting factors for teaching and learning activities are transportation costs, distance to study, learning time, the risk of contracting Covid-19, limited knowledge of technology, and the targets set for learning. The supporting factors are facilities and infrastructure, student health, weather factors, learning limitations, and health protocols.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning process of geography and to determine the factors supporting and inhibiting the learning process of geography during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo, Toli-Toli Regency. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo located in Tinabongan Village, Dondo District, Toli-Toli Regency with a qualitative descriptive research type and used the subject of geography teachers and students. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) SMA Negeri 1 Dondo conducted Geography lessons in accordance with a circular regarding the implementation of education during the coronavirus disease (Covid19) emergency, so learning activities were carried out online. This online learning will not take long because Dondo is still in the green zone, so learning can be carried out face-to-face with an odd-even system. Learning planning at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo has held training for teachers in schools in learning design, namely making emergency lesson plans. Teachers use learning outcomes and evaluations to determine students' abilities to improve further learning. 2) Supporting factors for the Geography Learning Process during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo are the facilities provided by the school and training held at the school for teachers. The inhibiting factor for the Geography Learning Process during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo is that there are still teachers and students who have not mastered IT and this is considered ineffective, as well as the odd-even system that is not implemented properly.
