Abstract

Local government management of commodity prices and cooperative records requires integrated, consistent, and searchable data. This community service activity aimed to develop and functionally validate a web-based integrated information system prototype for the Department of Industry, Trade, and Cooperatives of Nabire Regency. Requirements were derived from field observation, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews with two actual staff members representing the trade and cooperative divisions. Development followed an Agile approach through three iterations. The first iteration produced authentication, role-based access, user, market, commodity, and unit modules. The second produced commodity price recording, history, charts, search, and reports. The third produced cooperative profiles, institutional status, members, management, search, and reports. Black-box testing used controlled test data rather than operational agency records. Initial testing passed 13 of 14 scenarios (92.86%). After duplicate-price validation was corrected, all 14 scenarios passed. These results demonstrate functional conformity only. The prototype was not deployed in the partner’s operational environment, and data migration, training, assistance, usability testing, and user acceptance evaluation were not conducted. Further work is required before operational adoption.

Abstract

Public service evaluation requires a feedback mechanism that is accessible, documented, and useful for service improvement. The Education Office of Nabire Regency needs a digital platform to integrate public suggestions and service satisfaction ratings. This community service activity aimed to assist the partner in designing a prototype of a web-based digital suggestion box and service satisfaction rating system. The activity was carried out through partner needs identification, digital solution design, prototype development, limited internal testing, preparation of usage guidelines, and follow-up assistance planning. The result was a web-based prototype consisting of suggestion submission, satisfaction rating, media upload, admin dashboard, suggestion management, rating summary, and report features. Since the application has not yet been tested operationally by the partner, the result is positioned as an initial digital solution that requires partner trials and further assistance. This activity provides a practical basis for developing digital public service evaluation at the Education Office.

Abstract

The availability of information regarding the status and location of physical financial documents is essential to support administrative activities at the Education Office of Nabire Regency. However, the recording of document borrowing is still carried out manually, making the document tracking process less effective. To address this issue, this community service project developed a web-based information system for tracking the borrowing of physical financial documents using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The system was developed using PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap, and provides features for document management, borrowing and return recording, document searching, status monitoring, and reporting. Based on black-box testing, all system functions operated as intended, enabling more organized management and tracking of physical financial documents.

Abstract

Cafe Janji Koe Nabire still handles several order, payment, and sales-reporting activities through partially manual procedures. This condition creates repeated recording work and slows service control, particularly when customer traffic increases. This community service activity designed and implemented a web-based cafe management application that integrates table-based QR Code Ordering, Point of Sale (POS), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), order monitoring, table administration, activity logging, and sales reporting into a single operational flow. The application was developed through short Agile Scrum cycles using Laravel and MySQL. Functional verification applied Black Box Testing to nine core modules. The implemented system links customer orders with cashier processing and centralized transaction records. All tested scenarios generated the expected outputs for authentication, QR menu access, ordering, checkout, payment processing, menu administration, user management, activity logging, and report generation. The integrated workflow reduces repetitive data entry and provides the cafe operator with a clearer view of current orders and transaction history. The resulting application provides Cafe Janji Koe Nabire with a practical digital platform for daily service management and a technical basis for future integration with cashless payments and mobile services.

Abstract

his community service project focuses on creating a web-based employee payroll information system for PT. AMP Kabupaten Nabire, utilizing PHP, MySQL, and the Scrum framework. The current payroll process was partly manual, which led to errors in calculations, delays in reporting, and problems managing data. Information was gathered primarily through direct observation and interviews with staff. The system was developed by following the typical Scrum phases: product backlog, sprint planning, sprint backlog, implementation, and testing. Key features of the system include managing employee records, tracking attendance, calculating payroll, and generating reports. According to Black Box Testing, the system functions correctly and meets the users’ requirements. Overall, this new system enhances payroll accuracy and improves both the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll operations at the company.

Abstract

Social media has become one of the most effective tools for promoting MSME products. MSME operators in Bendung Village, Semin, Gunungkidul have not yet made optimal use of social media. This is due to a lack of knowledge regarding how to create engaging content. This community service activity aims to improve the ability of MSME operators to develop social media content for promotional purposes. The activity was carried out through outreach sessions, training, and hands-on practice. The material covered included an introduction to social media as a marketing tool, techniques for taking product photos and videos, writing engaging captions, and how to upload content effectively. The results of the activity showed that participants gained a better understanding of the importance of digital marketing and were able to create more engaging social media content. Participants became more confident in promoting their products through various social media platforms. This initiative can help SME operators expand their marketing reach, enhance their competitiveness, and ultimately support increased product sales.

Abstract

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) literacy in Indonesia's 3T (underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost) regions, particularly in South Central Timor (TTS) Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, faces significant challenges. This study addresses these issues at a partner school, SMP Negeri 1 Amanuban Barat in TTS Regency. Initial observations and interviews revealed critical barriers, including limited educational infrastructure, inadequate laboratory facilities, and a lack of stable internet access, which collectively hinder effective STEAM learning. Furthermore, the region suffers from a shortage of qualified educators specialized in STEAM disciplines, coupled with uneven teacher training and a scarcity of relevant learning materials, such as textbooks and pedagogical props. This community service program aimed to enhance the competency of lower secondary school teachers in 3T regions within the STEAM fields through the development and training of computational methods. The implemented solutions comprised the procurement of STEAM-focused computational applications, training workshops on intelligent computational applications in STEAM, and the development of instructional modules dedicated to computational application learning in STEAM fields. This community service program was implemented in three systematic phases: preparation (needs analysis), execution (lectures, demonstrations, and one-on-one mentoring), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). The evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in teachers' STEAM skills.

Abstract

Land degradation and the reduction of vegetation cover along riverbanks and critical land areas in Walma Village, Skanto District, Keerom Regency, have highlighted the need for greater youth involvement in environmental conservation. Limited awareness and a lack of participatory space for young people in environmental management have contributed to the slow handling of this issue. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and active role of youth in Walma Village in greening and environmental management efforts through tree-planting action. Implementation methods included socialization and education on environmental conservation, training on proper seedling and planting techniques, joint planting action on critical land and riverbanks, and post-planting seedling maintenance assistance. The activity was carried out from 18 to 25 July 2026, involving 20 young people from the Walma Village Youth Organization (Karang Taruna). The results showed a 62% increase in youth knowledge of environmental conservation from pre-test to post-test, the successful planting of 400 protective and productive tree seedlings on 3 hectares of land, a 95% participant attendance rate, and an 88% seedling survival rate at one-month post-planting monitoring. Participating youth showed high enthusiasm and committed to forming an environmental care group to ensure sustainable maintenance. This activity makes a real contribution to strengthening the role of youth as agents of change in environmental preservation in Keerom Regency.

Abstract

The waste treatment facility (TPS3R) in Palur Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency, plays a crucial role in environmental sanitation by managing up to 1 ton of waste daily from 450 households. However, waste management at this facility is currently dominated by inorganic materials with established commercial value, while organic waste from households and markets remains unmanaged, leading to accumulation and environmental degradation. This study aims to formulate an optimization strategy for organic waste management in Palur Village that aligns with local potentials. This approach was developed using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis method through observation, discussion, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with the village government and operators. Based on the SWOT analysis, it was agreed that the TPS3R optimization would focus on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation using a biopond system, serving as a solution to rising commercial animal feed prices through circular economy principles. The program's implementation focuses on three main pillars: production (improving technical cultivation skills), management (operational governance, feed, and profit-loss bookkeeping), and marketing (digital content promotion and product diversification). The final products include fresh maggot, dried maggot, maggot powder, and kasgot organic fertilizer. Through this integrated approach, the program is expected to resolve sanitation issues, reduce animal feed costs for local farmers, and foster independent and sustainable local maggotpreneurs.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kalimantan Barat, menghadapi persoalan pengelolaan sampah plastik dari aktivitas pariwisata. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) melalui pelatihan 3R, praktik upcycling, dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 17 anggota Pokdarwis mengikuti pelatihan dengan tingkat ketuntasan keterampilan ≥80% dan menghasilkan eco-merchandise dari sampah plastik. Mitra juga memperoleh mesin pencacah plastik berkapasitas sekitar 15 kg/jam yang didukung mesin pemanas dan cetakan, lima kotak sampah pemilahan, serta SOP Kebersihan dan 3R. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam pemilahan sampah, upcycling, dan penggunaan teknologi pengolahan plastik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi tepat guna yang didukung pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat membantu pengelolaan sampah plastik secara lebih tertata di desa wisata pesisir.
