Abstract

The problem of domestic violence (KDRT) is not something new to Indonesia. Domestic violence cases that occur in Indonesia generally always involve women as victims of violence. This occurs due to the unequal power relations between men and women in the household. This research uses a qualitative approach through the literature study method, attempting to analyze the phenomenon of domestic violence using an eco-femenism perspective. In an ecofeminist perspective, women and nature have a correlational relationship. Women and nature both experience oppression carried out by a patriarchal society. Ecofeminism is a theory that connects environmental issues and gender issues. In the context of domestic violence, ecofeminism can be used to analyze and understand the impact of such violence on the natural environment, as well as how environmental issues can interact with gender issues in this context. Ecofeminism can provide an in-depth look at how domestic violence and environmental issues are interrelated and can help in designing more holistic solutions to both issues. Based on research results, cases of domestic violence can be minimized if couples apply ecofeminist principles in their married life. The principles of ecofeminism include: responsibility towards nature, cosmic solidarity, harmony with nature, equal relations and caring.

Abstract

Industrialization entered South Korea in 1973 and by 1986 the number of South Korean industrial workers had doubled compared to 1971. This was due to the labor market policies put in place by Park Chung Hee regime, which encouraged the mobilization of the younger generation to big cities. This policy then affects and changes the values of society and families in South Korea. South Korean society, which previously honored family values, has become individualistic for several reasons, such as their orientation towards work. These conditions then create several phenomena in South Korean urban society, such as the emergence of childfree families in South Korea. The purpose of our research is to understand how industrialization can affect family values in South Korea. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach, and uses the Frankfurt School perspective with data sources of articles, journals, and news. This study found that industrialization can affect family values because of the labor market and community mobilization that occurs in South Korea. In order to fulfill production activities, not only men but also women enter the labor market. In its development, this study found the change in society's behavior towards childbearing, due to the high cost of raising children, society's orientation towards work, and discrimination against women in the workplace. This condition according to Frankfurt School is then called as irrationality in society and creates childfree phenomena in families in South Korea.

Abstract

Domestic violence experienced by women in Indonesia is increasingly prevalent every year. It is one of the highest cases of overall violence against women. Bekasi Regency is one of the areas with high cases of domestic violence. From 2018 to 2022, there were 169 cases of domestic violence reported to the Bekasi Regency Women's and Children's Empowerment and Protection Service (DPPPA). This study aims to analyze the implementation of policies related to the prevention and protection of women against domestic violence in Bekasi Regency. This research uses the theory of policy implementation from Van Meter and Van Horn. This research uses a qualitative method using a descriptive analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Bekasi Regency Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2020 concerning the protection of women against domestic violence in Bekasi Regency has not been implemented. Because, since the enactment of the regulation, cases of violence against women have increased every year, especially the number of cases of domestic violence in Bekasi Regency. This is due to several factors, including weak regulations related to the prevention and protection of women against domestic violence, victims who do not dare to speak up, efforts to resolve domestic violence cases, which are sometimes only resolved within the family, and other external factors such as social and economic factors, which contribute to the higher rate of domestic violence in Bekasi Regency.

Abstract

Women's representation in politics is needed to be able to voice various kinds of women's aspirations, women's needs, and women's issues. As a form of support for women's political representation, the government has made special affirmation policies for women in politics, which include special quotas for women's candidacy in the DPR and DPRD, management and membership of women in political parties, and representation of women in election organizers. Although it has been regulated in the Election Law, which states that the composition of election organizers must pay attention to at least 30% of women's representation, in practice, until now, women's representation in election organizers has not been optimal, especially at the level of election organizers at the ad hoc level. This research focuses on the policy of women's representation in the recruitment of the Bekasi City District Panwaslu in 2023. This research uses the theory of policy implementation by Van Metter Van Horn using six variables: standards and objectives, resources, characteristics of the implementing organization, communication between implementing organizations, the attitude of the implementers, and the social, economic, and political environment. The result of this study is that currently the number of women in Panwascam Bekasi City is six (6) people, or 17% of the total 30 District election supervisory committee (Panwascam) members. Even though in the recruitment process, the Bekasi City Bawaslu has provided special affirmation policies for women, such as providing an extension of Panwascam registration time for sub-districts that have not met the quota of women. However, this does not necessarily increase women's representation in Panwascam. There are various obstacles faced by women, such as structural, cultural, and capability barriers.

Abstract

Women's cooperatives are one way to strengthen a person's capacity and possibilities for economic empowerment and involvement in more inclusive financial development. as a venue for enhancing the position of women both nationally and in the family economy. The purpose of this study is to get insight into the role that women's cooperatives play in social entrepreneurship initiatives for women. This paper examines the socio-cultural behavior of women engaged in the social entrepreneur field where they become part of the membership of a women's cooperative. The findings from the research study in this paper are that women have a culture that is more consistent, honest, and transparent in managing their social entrepreneurship, but is weak in terms of sustainability. Practical implications, this paper can provide input for policymakers regarding the development of women's potential in the field of social entrepreneurship. This research is still very rare because not all women are capable of engaging in social entrepreneurship. The value obtained in this research is the empowerment of women in the field of social entrepreneurship. This program prioritizes women's ability to identify problems as a source of socio-economic empowerment.

The focus of this research is on community participation. This focus is operated on the work program currently being carried out by Teba village: whether the work program implemented is the result of a decision of the village council forum or the village head's own initiative. Using Arnstein's participation ladder, we will analyze the level of community participation in development in Teba village, Biboki Tanpah District, North Central Timor Regency. Using the interview method and supported by documents in the form of village meeting minutes (musdes), village meeting attendance lists (musdes), and document work plan (RKPdes) from 2019- 2024, data collected and analyzed to determine the level of community participation. The study conducted found that community participation in Teba village was at the second level. At the information provision rung, the public is given information but the decision has been taken. Likewise, on the consultation ladder. The village head conducts discussions but, there is no guarantee the suggestions will be accepted. In taking heart, the government only makes promises that can easily be ignored.

Abstract

In the increasingly advanced digital era, the retail industry has witnessed some important paradigms in offline and online stores. In addition to technology development, both platforms offer different opportunities. Online stores are a popular trend among consumers who want to shop easily and conveniently through online platforms. But over time, market participants realized that the presence of online shopping posed risks to them. For example, there is fierce competition between offline and online stores. In this context, tiktok stores have become a new threat to traditional retailers, and market traders need to be able to compete with the prices offered by tiktok stores, which are generally cheaper because they have no physical operating costs. This study focuses on the impact of tiktok stores on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The method used in this study is qualitative, collecting non-numerical data such as observational interviews and content analysis. This study targets market traders and actors behind online stores, specifically in Surabaya, to support data obtained. Through this study, researchers made decisions about aspects of this study. Research conclusions: (1) The existence of online stores has made many bankrupt market traders become online store players, because online stores have more profit prospects than market traders. (2) The busyness of online stores eliminates the possibility of extinction of market traders, because online shopping involves high risks of fraud, such as counterfeiting, etc., which may cause financial losses to consumers. Market Traders are more secure than online stores due to their relative reliance on direct interaction.

Abstract

General Elections are important moments in the democratic life of a country, where the people have the opportunity to choose their leaders and representatives. The General Election Commission as a General Election institution stipulates General Election Commission Regulations Number 14 of 2018 and Number 20 of 2018 which regulate the prohibition of former corruption convicts from becoming legislative candidates. Because many parties oppose and support this, the 2019 election law stipulates that ex-corruptors can nominate themselves as members of the legislature on condition that they must be fair and honest, admitting to the public that the person concerned is an ex-corruptor. This research method uses descriptive qualitative, using the spiral of silence theory, namely a media theory that pays more attention to majority views and suppresses minority views. The results of the research are: The results of this research, people tend to assess the pros and cons before people write opinions via their Twitter accounts with the hashtag #tolakpolitikbusuk as an expression of how they want leaders who are 'clean', clean in the sense here are those who have never been involved in cases that harm many people. Indonesia is a democratic country, but voicing the voice of the people is quite difficult. The reality is that it confronts the expectations that occur in society.
