Abstract

Currently, in 2024, the world faces a number of urgent global crises. These include armed conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, and some African countries, as well as the dire impacts of climate change, such as rising global temperatures, extreme weather, wildfires, and rising sea levels. In this study, we look at how photojournalism will portray the global crisis in 2024, with a special emphasis on climate change and armed conflict. The way photojournalists work has changed and been influenced by advances in camera technology and digital distribution in recent decades. These advancements have given them the ability to capture and disseminateimages from new perspectives. Journalistic photography is essential to record and disseminate information about the global crisis that is occurring. Photos of conflict zones and areas affected by climate change can convey realities that are often difficult to describe in words. The photographs produced and published succeeded in fostering empathy, raising awareness, and encouraging international action. This study examines how new technologies affect journalistic work and as a result, the role of photojournalism in raising awareness and influencing policies about global crises, ethical issues, safety, and information validity in the digital age. Case studies, in-depth interviews with photojournalists, and content analysis from news sites and social media were the qualitative methods used in this study. Studies show that the use of drones, high-resolution cameras, and other photographic technologies has improved the ability of journalists to document crises around the world. However, ethics, privacy, truth, and safety of journalists are still issues. The study emphasizes that to reach a wider audience and drive faster global action, better safety protocols, support for the well-being of journalists, and more effective distribution strategies are essential

Abstract

In today's digital era, technological advances have brought major changes in various fields, such as the creative economy. The emergence of crowdfunding platforms and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) as creativeoptions for creative funding is one of the latest developments. Artists, musicians, and other creators have seen how they advertise their work by using NFTs which are unique asset holdings on the blockchain. Incontrast, crowdfunding platforms like Patreon and Kickstarter allow creators to get funding directly from their fans without using conventional intermediaries. The purpose of this research is to find the problems and prospects faced by investors and creators when using NFTs and crowdfunding. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used, with case studies and secondary data analysis. The results show that the main challenges to be faced include legal and regulatory uncertainty, marketvolatility, copyright infringement, digital divide, high transaction costs, and environmental impact. Uncertainty regarding ownership rights and consumer protection is caused by regulatory uncertainty.Both creators and investors face significant risks due to the volatility of the NFT market. The case of plagiarism in NFTs shows that copyright must be strengthened. Some creators cannot use this technology due to the limitations of digital technology. A more environmentally friendly solution is also needed due to the high transaction fees and the impact of the Ethereum blockchain on the environment. In addition, many creators still have difficulty maintaining crowdfunding funding.

Abstract

In the post-truth era, where the lines between facts and opinions are often blurred, documentaries face great challenges in maintaining narrative integrity, especially when presenting controversial or sensitive issues. The study explores how documentaries can navigate these challenges bymaintaining a balance between compelling facts and narratives, verifying information thoroughly, and using cinematic techniques wisely to avoid emotional manipulation. The study also discusses the importance of transparency in the production process and the ethical responsibility ofdocumentaries in preventing polarization and the spread of misinformation. Through a qualitative approach, the study analyzes relevant documentary film examples, such as "The Social Dilemma" and "Leaving Neverland," to identify best practices in maintaining credibility and honesty in documentary narratives in the post-truth era.

Abstract

This research examines the shift in the entertainment industry that challenges existing legal and contractual boundaries, with a focus on creator rights and legal protections. The dispute between Taylor Swift and Big Machine Records was the main focus, illustrating important issues related to copyright, creative control, and fair contracts in the music industry. Through this case analysis, this research highlights the importance of understanding the rights to recording masters and the strategies artists can use to regain control over their work, including re-recording their songs. The method used is a literature study, with an analysis of recording  contracts, legal statements, and music industry publications. This research also examines how the media affects public perception and attitudes towards artist rights issues. The results of the study show that artists need to understand and negotiate clauses in their recording contracts, especially regarding royalty rights, contract duration, and exclusive rights, to avoid injustice. Re-recording strategies such as Taylor Swift are considered effective in regaining creative and economic control over their work. In Indonesia, the importance of education  and awareness of copyright and ownership of recording masters is crucial, considering the frequent violations and injustices in recording contracts. The research offers insights into how artists in Indonesia can ensure  ownership and control over their recording masters through clear agreements, contract renegotiations, and the use of re-recording rights. The legal implications and effective marketing strategies are also discussed, providing guidance for artists to strengthen their position in the music industry. As such, the study emphasizes the importance of copyright protection and fairness in recording contracts, and proposes concrete steps that artists can take to protect their creative rights and optimize the economic benefits of their work.

Abstract

Hak cipta dan hak moral pencipta memiliki konsekuensi hukum jika lirik lagu diubah untuk kepentingan kampanye pemilu. Namun, ini menjadi salah satu cara yang menarik untuk menyampaikan pesan politik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki masalah hukum dan moral yang muncul sebagai hasil dari perubahan lirik lagu dalam situasi ini. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskriptif- analitis. Interview dan analisis dokumen kasus adalah bagian dari proses ini. Hasil penelitian adalah bahwa pemahaman yang tidak benar ataupun tidak penuh tentang hukum hak cipta dan pelaksanaannya menyebabkan banyak pelanggaran hak cipta. Bahkan hak moral pencipta sering diabaikan saat mengubah lagu. Penelitian menemukan bahwa edukasi hukum dan kebijakan yang lebih jelas harus diberikan untuk melindungi hak cipta dan melibatkan pencipta dalam proses modifikasi untuk mendorong praktik yang sesuai dan etis dalam kampanye politik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari bagaimana berpikir kreatif dapat diterapkan dalam konteks pengembangan individu dan organisasi. Mengidentifikasi komponen yang mempengaruhi kreativitas dan teknik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif adalah tujuan utama dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dan melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan partisipan yang berpengalaman dalam kreativitas dan inovasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan yang mendukung, kolaborasi tim, dan keberanian untuk gagal adalah komponen penting dalam mendorong kreativitas. Hasil ini memberikan wawasan untuk membangun strategi pembelajaran dan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang berfokus pada meningkatkan kreativitas di berbagai industri

Abstract

Dengan berkembangnya teknologi digital, para kreator menghadapi tantangan baru dalam mempertahankan karya mereka, terutama dalam hal pelanggaran hak cipta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana teknologi blockchain dapat membantu melindungi hak cipta dengan melihat bagaimana implementasinya berhasil dan gagal, serta masalah hukum dan sosial yang muncul. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis studi kasus industri kreatif dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi blockchain dapat meningkatkan transparansi, keaslian, dan efisiensi pengelolaan hak cipta dengan menggunakan mekanisme seperti kontrak pintar dan NFT. Namun, untuk mendorong adopsi industri kreatif yang lebih besar, masalah seperti skalabilitas, kerangka hukum, dan kesadaran sosial harus diatasi

Abstract

Modern culture is much influenced by creative media, which blends art, technology, and communication. By means of a mixed-methods approach comprising qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, and case studies, this study investigates the ideas and value of creative media. According to the findings, including historical background, media evaluation, creative practice, and research techniques improves the caliber of creative media education. Especially successful in raising students' respect of the development of media and its usefulness in social settings were interactive aspects including virtual museum tours and cooperative projects. Furthermore, the PBL (problem-based learning) method effectively helped pupils to grow in their critical and creative ability. But the studies revealed areas where creative thinking was used poorly, which emphasizes the need of a more interactive education. This study greatly helps to create innovative media courses, so educating students to be competent and flexible professionals in the modern society.

Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi digital, perlindungan konsumen dalam industri media kreatif semakin penting. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana dan seberapa efektif UU Perlindungan Konsumen (UU PK) diterapkan untuk konsumen di industri saat ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dan analisis kasus kebocoran data yang terjadi di platform digital tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumen sulit memahami hak-hak mereka, dan menghadapi tantangan signifikan terkait kesadaran akanhak-hak tersebut serta kompleksitas informasi. Selain itu, UU PK perlu ditingkatkan untuk melindungi konsumen dari penipuan dan pelanggaran privasi data. Untuk melindungi hak konsumen di industri media kreatif, penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan pengembangan regulasi yang lebih ketat

Abstract

Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya desain akustik di studio rekaman untuk mencapai kualitas suara yang optimal. Waktu gema dan aktivitas modal secara signifikan memengaruhi kualitas akustik di ruang kecil dan tertutup seperti studio. Namun, banyak pengguna dengan anggaran terbatas sering menghadapi tantangan dalam mengakses solusi akustik yang efektif dan terjangkau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan panduan praktis untuk memilih dan mengatur bahan akustik yang efisien untuk mengontrol waktu reverb dan aktivitas modal, membuat solusi ini dapat diakses oleh masyarakat umum tanpa mengeluarkan biaya tinggi atau memerlukan bantuan dari konsultan profesional. Untuk mencapai hal ini, metode eksperimental digunakan, menguji berbagai bahan akustik umum seperti busa, kayu, karpet, dan gipsum dalam pengaturan studio rekaman untuk mengukur dampaknya pada waktu reverb. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tekanan suara dan pengukuran waktu reverb dengan pengukur SPL dan aplikasi pengukuran akustik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap material memiliki efek yang berbeda berdasarkan ketebalan dan penempatannya. Bahan yang lebih tebal lebih efektif dalam menyerap frekuensi rendah, sedangkan bahan yang lebih tipis unggul dalam menyerap frekuensi tinggi. Panduan praktis ini dibangun di atas temuan eksperimental ini, sehingga memudahkan pengguna untuk mengelola bahan akustik. Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemilihan material yang tepat dan penataan strategis dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kualitas akustik di studio kecil dengan biaya yang terjangkau. Panduan ini berkontribusi secara bermakna untuk bidang akustik, memberikan solusi praktis dan ekonomis. Akibatnya, ini meningkatkan aksesibilitas desain akustik berkualitas untuk studio kecil dan masyarakat luas, mendukung kebutuhan pembuatan konten digital dan produksi musik yang terus berkembang
