Abstract

The changes in the educational landscape caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have driven massive transformations in the learning and teaching processes, particularly through the implementation of distance learning models. This article aims to review the nature of learning and teaching in the context of distance learning, as well as explore the challenges and implications that arise for students, educators, and educational institutions. Using a qualitative method with a content analysis approach, this study highlights that learning in the context of distance learning requires greater independence, digital literacy, and emotional engagement from students. On the other hand, learning is no longer merely a process of delivering material, but has become a dynamic technology-based interaction that requires adaptive pedagogical strategies and empathy from educators. The main challenges identified include limited access to technology, low learning motivation, and the digital divide. The implications are that educational institutions need to formulate responsive policies and redesign curricula and learning methods that align with the characteristics of distance learning. This article recommends the importance of redefining the nature of learning and teaching within a more inclusive and flexible framework, ensuring education remains meaningful and effective in the digital age.

Abstract

To facilitate the educational process, the presence of educational institutions is essential. Elementary school serves as a foundation where students acquire knowledge and education. At this stage, the surrounding environment plays a significant role in shaping development and fostering curiosity. Gadgets attract elementary school students because of their diverse features. However, excessive use may reduce students’ interest in learning, as they often spend more time playing games, watching movies, or browsing unproductive social media content. A lack of parental attention further aggravates this issue, leading to decreased learning motivation and increased passivity. This study aims to examine the impact of gadget use on elementary school students’ interest in learning. It employs a qualitative approach with content analysis to review and interpret relevant studies. The findings suggest that gadgets can provide positive contributions when used wisely under the supervision of teachers and parents. Conversely, without proper guidance, gadget use may have negative implications, including reduced learning interest and a decline in moral values.

Abstract

This research is motivated by technological developments that have had a major impact on various aspects of life, including children and adolescents. TikTok is one of the social media platforms that provides diverse content in different contexts, which can lead to careless use. This platform is not only a source of entertainment but has also become an interactive space where children explore identity, share stories, and develop distinctive communication patterns. The purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenon of TikTok use in depth through a review of relevant literature discussing the relationship between social media, language pragmatics, and student learning achievement. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The data for this study were collected from various academic databases. The findings indicate that the pragmatic aspects of communication and the learning achievement of elementary school students are significantly affected, both positively and negatively. The use of TikTok by elementary school students as an interactive social media platform reflects communication patterns that are rich in pragmatic elements, particularly various types of speech acts.

Abstract

The Indonesian education system currently uses the independent curriculum. Project-based learning is implemented in the independent curriculum. In the independent curriculum, learning is emphasized on character development or the profile of Pancasila students, which aims to form competent student characters according to the Pancasila values ??taught in the project-based student profile. The Pancasila student profile is devoted to God, has noble character, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity), mutual cooperation, independence, the ability to think critically, creatively and innovatively, and democracy. This study aims to determine the analysis of obstacles to the implementation of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project (P5) in elementary school education units in the era of the independent curriculum. This study uses a qualitative research type with a literature study method or literature review. The results of the study, the obstacles that occurred during the Pancasila student profile strengthening project (P5) were the lack of understanding of educators or teachers about P5 so that the P5 project was less than optimal. The second obstacle was the lack of support from schools such as the lack of supporting tools for P5 activities and lack of funding. Furthermore, the obstacles that often occur are the lack of active involvement of students in implementing projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students and many students are lazy to participate in P5.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of religious literacy to shaping young people's digital ethics on social media platforms. The research employs a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews and participant observation with groups of teenagers active on several social media platforms. The findings indicate that enhancing religious literacy provides a strong moral foundation and ethical values, which in turn encourage more responsible and ethical digital behavior among the younger generation. The implications highlight the importance of integrating religious literacy education into learning programs and social activities related to social media use, in order to foster a positive and dignified digital environment and support the character development of an ethically conscious younger generation.
