Abstract

Abstract. This research is motivated by the low writing skills of poetry. This is characterized by students' poetry writing skills that are not productive, still informative, students are still difficult to express their ideas, and are less attractive to students because they only use one technique. One learning technique that can improve poetry writing skills is mind mapping techniques. Mind mapping is also a learning technique to stimulate students' imagination in generating ideas, recording and summarizing using mind mapping. This study aims to examine the effect of Mind Mapping Technique on Poetry Writing Skills of students in elementary school.This study was an experimental study of Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of class V. Sampling is done by saturated sample technique (total sampling), namely VB class as an experimental class and VA class as a control class. The experimental class consisted of 34 students and the control class consisted of 36 students. The instrument used to determine the effect of mind mapping techniques is observation and documentation. The experimental class was treated by using mind mapping techniques in poetry writing skills while the control class without using mind mapping techniques.Based on the results of the pretest obtained the average value of the experimental class 60 and the average value of the control class 64.2. From the results of the comparison of the two sample classes, there was a difference in value of 3.7, so it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the two pretest grades, meaning that the two classes have the same initial ability. Next, learning was conducted using mind mapping techniques in the experimental class and learning without mind mapping techniques in the control class. After learning is given then in both classes posttest is conducted. For the experimental class obtained an average value of 82 and for the control class obtained an average value of 77.5. From the results of testing hypotheses with a significant level of 0.05 obtained a significant value of 0,000 because sig. <?, the hypothesis is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of using mind mapping techniques on students' poetry writing skills in elementary school. Keywords: Mind Mapping Techniques, Writing Skills, Poetry

Abstract

Guru sangat berperan dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar yang efektif untuk mendorong kemajuan peserta didik dalam belajar. Sementara itu bahan ajar yang ada masih perlu perbaikan-perbaikan karena terdapat beberapa kesalahan seperti paragraf dalam teks bacaan belum rata kiri-kanan, kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital. Oleh sebab itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, perlu dicari solusi berupa pengembangan bahan ajar tematik terpadu berbasis model reciprocal teaching untuk siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar yang valid. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D (four D model). Model ini terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (desseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar tematik terpadu menggunakan model reciprocal teaching yang dikembangkan memperoleh persentase kevalidan bahan ajar dan RPP adalah 87,5% (materi) dengan kategori sangat valid, 75% (bahasa) dengan kategori valid, dan 81,8% (desain) dengan kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan persentase RPP adalah 90% dengan kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

Teachers are very instrumental in developing effective teaching materials to encourage the progress of students in learning. Meanwhile, the existing teaching materials still need improvements because there are several errors such as paragraphs in the reading text that are not aligned left-right, errors in capital letters. Therefore, to solve this roblem, it is necessary to find a solution in the form of developing integrated thematic teaching materials based on the cooperative script model for grade IV elementary school students. This study aims to produce valid teaching materials. This type of research is development research using the 4-D model (four D model). This model consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The results showed that the integrated thematic teaching materials using the cooperative script model developed obtained the validity percentage of teaching materials was 87.5% (material) with a very valid category, 75% (language) with a valid category, and 81.8% (design) with very valid category.

Abstract

Abstrak: Target capaian dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar mampu untuk mendongeng dengan percaya diri. Sebab, siswa sekolah dasar ada ditemukan yang tidak percaya diri untuk maju ke depan kelas dan apalagi untuk bercerita/mendongeng. Oleh sebab itu, pelatihan ini dilakukan di sekolah dasar dengan tujuan di atas. Dengan mendongeng pembelajaran akan lebih menarik dan juga dapat melatih kecerdasan emosional anak. Pemateri memberikan materi tentang cara mendongeng yang baik, lalu memberikan contoh, kemudian peserta akan diminta untuk mempraktikkan sendiri. Secara umum terdiri dari dua metode yaitu : 1) Persiapan; 2) Pelaksanaan. Adapun hasil dari pelatihan ini diperoleh 6 siswa yang mampu mendongeng dengan percaya diri dari keseluruhan peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan tersebut.Abstract: The achievement target of this activity is that elementary school students are able to tell stories with confidence. Because, there are elementary school students who are not confident enough to come to the front of the class and especially to tell stories. Therefore, this training was conducted in elementary schools with the above objectives. With storytelling learning will be more interesting and can also train children's emotional intelligence. The results of this training obtained 6 students who were able to tell stories with confidence from all the participants who took part in the activity.

Abstract

Development of integrated thematic teaching materials based on reciprocal teaching models for grade IV elementary school. Teachers are very involved in developing effective teaching materials for the progress of students in learning. Meanwhile, the existing teaching materials still need improvements because there are several errors such as paragraphs in the reading that are not aligned left-right, capital letters errors. Therefore, to solve this problem, it is necessary to find a solution in the form of developing integrated thematic teaching materials based on the reciprocal teaching model for grade IV elementary school students. This articles aims to produce valid teaching materials. This type of research is development research using the 4-D model (four D models). The model consists of four stages, namely defining (defining), designing (designing), developing (developing), and spreading (deseminating). The results showed that the integrated thematic teaching materials using the reciprocal teaching model obtained the proportion of validity of teaching materials and lesson plans were 87.5% (material) with a very valid category, 75% (language) with a valid category, and 81.8% (design). with a very valid category. While the proportion of RPP is 90% with very valid category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to influence the use of a scientific approach to student learning outcomes in science learning in SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit, Pauh District, Padang. This research is an experimental research type Quasi Experimental Design with the design of The Static Comparison: Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this study were all students in grade IV semester II SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit District Pauh which consisted of 2 classes totaling 47 people. Based on the data analysis, the results of testing of the data from the sample class are normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, hypothesis testing was done by t-test showing tcount = 2.464 and ttable = 1.677 with db = 47 (n1 + n2–2 = 24 + 25-2 = 47) and a significant level of 5%. Based on the t-test t table (2,464 1,677) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, with the conclusion that student learning outcomes that use a scientific approach are better than student learning outcomes without using a scientific approach to student learning outcomes in science learning in grade IV elementary school Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit District Pauh.

Abstract

Supervisi di sekolah dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah yang bertindak sebagai supervisor, maka ia harus mampu melakukan berbagai pengawasan dan pengendalian untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru. Pengawasan dan pengendalian merupakan tindakan preventiv untuk mencegah agar guru tidak melakukan penyimpangan dan lebih berhati- hati dalam melaksanakan pekerjaannya sebagai pendidik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengungkap kegiatan supervisi yang dilakukan oleh Kepala sekolah SDN 14 Sungai Sirah Kecamatan Sutera Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah:1). Fokus kegiatan supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dapat diidentifikasikan ke dalam dua hal yaitu; kegiatan supervisi yang menyangkut administrasi guru dan kegiatan proses belajar mengajar, 2). Kegiatan supervisi sangat membantu bagi guru dalam memecahkan masalah-masalah pendidikan yang dihadapi guru pada saat melakukanpembelajaran, serta dapat memberikan motivasi bagi guru agar selalu meningkatkan pengetahuan untuk menjadi guru yang professional dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, 3). Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan saintifik terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit Kecamatan Pauh, Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen jenis Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan The Static Comparison: Randomized Control Group Only Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV semester II SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit Kecamatan Pauh yang terdiri dari 2 kelas berjumlah 47 orang. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh hasil pengujian terhadap data dari kelas sampel yaitu berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t menunjukkan thitung= 2,464 dan ttabel= 1,677 dengan db= 47 (n1+n2–2=24+25-2=47) dan taraf signifikan 5%. Berdasarkan pengujian thitungttabel(2,464 1,677)  maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dengan kesimpulan  bahwa “hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik lebih baik daripada hasil belajar siswa yang tanpa menggunakan pendekatan saintifik terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit Kecamatan Pauh”.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis puisi. Hal ini ditandai dengan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa belum bersifat produktif, masih bersifat teori informatif, siswa masih sulit untuk menuangkan ide-idenya, dan kurang menarik bagi siswa karena hanya menggunakan satu teknik (ceramah). Salah satu teknik pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi adalah teknik mind mapping. Mind  mapping  juga merupakan  salah  satu teknik pembelajaran  untuk  merangsang  imajinasi  siswa  dalam  menghasilkan gagasan,  mencatat  dan  meringkas  menggunakan  pemetaan  pikiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti Pengaruh Teknik Mind Mapping terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Puisi siswa di sekolah dasar.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen jenis Quasi Experimental Design dengan  rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V semester II. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh (total sampling) yaitu kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VA sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen berjumlah 34 siswa dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 36 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik mind mapping adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan teknik mind mapping dalam keterampilan menulis puisi sedangkan kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan teknik mind mapping.Berdasarkan hasil pretest diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 60 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 64,2. Dari hasil perbandingan kedua kelas sampel tersebut diperoleh perbedaan nilai sebesar 3,7, maka dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan nilai pretest kedua kelas, artinya kedua kelas memiliki kemampuan awal yang sama. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembelajaran yang menggunakan teknik mind mapping pada kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran tanpa teknik mind mapping pada kelas kontrol. Setelah pembelajaran diberikan kemudian pada kedua kelas dilakukan posttest. Untuk kelas ekperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata 82 dan untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 77,5. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 diperoleh nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 karena sig. α maka hipotesis diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan teknik mind mapping terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa di sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci : Teknik Mind Mapping, Keterampilan Menulis, Puisi
