Abstract

One form of legal protection for children is to realize the fulfillment of the rights and obligations of the child itself. Especially for children in conflict with the law, their problem solving process requires special attention. This study aims to analyze the application of diversion in restorative justice for children who are in conflict with the law in the juvenile criminal justice system. The type of research conducted is descriptive research with the type of normative legal research related to the application of diversion in restorative justice in the criminal justice system. The results showed that the application of diversion in restorative justice in the system of applying diversion to children in conflict with the law in the juvenile justice system, is the implementation of a system in restorative justice to provide justice and legal protection to children in conflict with the law without ignoring the child's criminal responsibility. Diversion is not a peaceful effort between children in conflict with the law and the victim or his family, but a form of punishment for children in conflict with the law in an informal way. The recommendation in this study is that law enforcement officers in carrying out their duties of investigating, prosecuting, examining and determining case decisions at court trials should prioritize the application of diversion as an alternative to the application of imprisonment. Massive socialization of diversion is needed to the community.

Abstract

The high prevalence and increasing incidence of HIV has adversely affected the control of several endemic diseases, including tuberculosis (TB). In HIV there is a progressive decrease in CD4 T cells which is associated with progressive damage to immunity, in the form of a severe decrease in digestive tract lymphoid cells, erythrocyte apoptosis, increased permeability of the digestive tract and finally massive CD4 T cell destruction. HIV will attempt to enter target cells (dendrite cells, macrophage cells), which are cells capable of expressing CD4 T cell receptors and express chemokine coreceptors (CCR5 or CXCR4) on the surface of CD4 T cells. HIV utilises CXCR4 to destroy CD4 T cells at acute onset, resulting in a decrease in CD4 T cell numbers. The condition of decreased CD4 T cell count in HIV will also be aggravated by the presence of TB co-infection. CD4 T cells contribute to controlling Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The adaptation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in HIV patients can also weaken the cytokine immunity of interfor-γ, interleukin-10 patients in HIV infection. HIV-1 induces a decrease in CD4+ levels and the development of active tuberculosis. This review summarizes that Mycobacterium tuberculosis has an important component, Lipoarabinomannan (LAM), which has a broad ability to inhibit the influence of immunoregulators, thereby suppressing the proliferation of T lymphocytes, inhibiting macrophage activation and neutralising the influence of free radicals. Decreased immune status and nutritional status due to Mycobacterium tuberculosis can accelerate the course of HIV infection towards AIDS.

Abstract

Klaten Regency is one of the areas that has experienced changes in use over time, such as agricultural land becoming built-up or non-agricultural land. This has an impact on the increase in air temperature which can lead to the occurrence of the phenomenon of the Heat Island or Urban Heat Island. This study aims to determine the spatio-temporal variation of vegetation index value (NDVI), Surface Temperature and in Klaten Regency in 2013 - 2021 and determine the relationship between vegetation index value (NDVI) and UHI in Klaten Regency. The method used in this research is Landsat 8 image data processing such as NDVI, LST and UHI calculation to get the final result. Meanwhile, to get the relationship between NDVI and Surface Temperature related to the UHI phenomenon, simple regression testing was carried out. The results obtained from the processing results show that Klaten Regency is dominated by vegetation cover density with very high and high classifications despite the decrease in area from 2013 to 2021. Surface temperature in Klaten Regency is dominated by surface temperatures within the range of 25 - 28o C spread across the entire region from 2013 to 2021. The results of the linear regression have a coefficient value of r2 where the value shows results with a value of 0.377. The result of the coefficient of determination shows that the amount of influence obtained from the density of vegetation land cover with an average surface temperature of 37.7% where the rest can be influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia is a major producer of essential oils, with patchouli and peppermint oils being widely used in aromatherapy. Aromatherapy products, such as wind oil, provide therapeutic benefits but are often underused by younger consumers. Developing formulations that appeal to a broader audience may increase their use. Objective: This study aimed to formulate an aromatherapy oil using patchouli and peppermint essential oils, evaluate its physical properties, and test consumer preferences. Method: Four formulations (F1–F4) were prepared with varying concentrations of patchouli and peppermint oils. Physical tests, including organoleptic, homogeneity, clarity, pH, and spreadability, were conducted over four weeks. A hedonic test with 20 respondents assessed sensory preferences. Results: Formulations remained stable in terms of homogeneity and clarity throughout the study. pH values were within the acceptable range for skin application, though they increased slightly during storage. Spreadability improved over time, with F2, F3, and F4 meeting the ideal range by the fourth week. F4, containing 6% patchouli and 15% peppermint oils, was the most preferred in the hedonic test, particularly for color, smell, and clarity. Conclusion: Patchouli and peppermint essential oils can be effectively combined to create a stable, consumer-preferred aromatherapy oil. F4 showed the best physical and sensory qualities, making it a promising formulation for future development.
