Abstract

The development of social media as a digital public sphere has created new challenges in law enforcement, particularly in addressing hate speech. This study examines the application of law in Decision Number 283/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Jakarta Selatan using a normative juridical approach. The findings indicate that the panel of judges correctly applied the provisions of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law), especially regarding the elements of intent and hate speech based on ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA). The judges also considered the principles of legal certainty, justice, and utility in reaching their decision. This study highlights the importance of firm law enforcement and preventive measures to promote a healthy and responsible digital environment.

Abstract

Delayed and rejected claims remain persistent challenges in the implementation of Indonesia's National Health Insurance (JKN) program, particularly in inpatient healthcare services. One contributing factor is the difference in interpretation between the professional judgment of medical personnel and the administrative verification conducted by BPJS Kesehatan during the claims verification process. This study employed normative legal research using statutory and conceptual approaches to examine the implications of such differences from the perspectives of legal certainty and justice. The analysis was based on legislation, legal literature, and previous studies concerning the BPJS Kesehatan claims system, professional medical judgment, legal certainty, and justice. The findings demonstrate that differences in interpretation may arise in establishing diagnoses, supporting diagnostic examinations, medical coding, and determining claim eligibility. Consequently, healthcare services considered medically necessary based on professional judgment may not necessarily be recognized as eligible for reimbursement under the BPJS Kesehatan claims system. These differences contribute to delayed and rejected claims, creating legal uncertainty regarding healthcare facilities' entitlement to reimbursement while also raising concerns of justice due to the imbalance between administrative compliance and the legitimate interests of healthcare facilities. The study argues that a clearer mechanism for resolving differences in interpretation during claims verification is necessary to strengthen legal certainty and promote justice within the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, socio-economic factors (expected years of schooling and poverty), and food security on the incidence of stunting among toddlers across 34 provinces in Indonesia. A quantitative method was applied using panel data regression for the 2018-2024 period, with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) selected as the most appropriate estimation approach. The results indicate that economic growth, expected years of schooling, poverty, and food security simultaneously have a highly significant effect on the fluctuation of regional stunting rates. Partially, expected years of schooling and food security exhibit a negative and highly significant impact on reducing the prevalence of stunting. Poverty increases the risk of stunting, though its direct impact is cushioned by government interventions, rendering it insignificant at the 5% level. Furthermore, macroeconomic growth does not significantly reduce stunting, reflecting the issue of non-inclusive growth. In conclusion, interventions focusing on improving socio-economic conditions and food security are highly necessary and more effective in alleviating stunting than relying solely on aggregate macroeconomic growth, highlighting the need for a more even distribution of economic development

Abstract

Exposure to welding fumes is a risk factor for impaired lung function commonly found among welders in the shipbuilding industry. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of exposure to welding fumes and the use of welding masks on lung function among welders at PT. X in Batam City in 2026. This study is an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of welders at PT. X in Batam City, with a sample size of 40 respondents. The research instruments included a questionnaire, an observation sheet, and spirometry tests, with the results analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant association between the duration of welding fume exposure and lung function (p < 0.001) and between the use of welding masks and lung function (p < 0.001). Workers with an exposure duration of >8 hours/day exhibited abnormal lung function in 72.2% of cases, whereas all workers using masks in the “good” category had normal lung function (100%). It is concluded that both variables are significantly associated with the lung function of welding workers. Companies are advised to consistently require the use of NIOSH-standard masks and to limit working hours in accordance with applicable regulations.

Abstract

The increasing use of AI-powered running coaching applications in marathon training has raised questions about whether AI can replace the tacit knowledge of human coaches. This study explores how tacit knowledge changes as coaching shifts from human coaches to AI-powered coaching systems. An exploratory qualitative approach was adopted through semi-structured interviews with eight marathon runners and two running coaches who had experience using AI-powered running coaching applications. The interview data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase reflexive thematic analysis. The findings show that AI is effective in supporting data driven coaching tasks. However, AI still has limitations in understanding athletes' emotional conditions, personal circumstances, and contextual factors that influence coaching decisions that remain difficult for AI to replicate. These findings suggest that future AI-powered running coaching systems should be designed to support rather than replace human coaches by considering athletes' contextual and emotional conditions, providing features that assist coaches in decision-making, and encouraging collaboration between AI and human coaches to improve marathon training.

Abstract

In this study, researchers look at the important role of Moses in the history of the Old Testament Bible, as the author of the Pentateuch and wise leader. Through a descriptive-analytic approach, researchers look at the life and leadership of Moses in an educational context, with data from the Bible and related literature. Chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses showed extraordinary commitment through his challenging life journey. His steadfast character, strong commitment, and competence as a leader and educator provide an important legacy for Christian leaders in educating the younger generation. Moses' commitment to God's call, coupled with his competence in leading and teaching, is a role model for educational leaders. In the context of religious historical biography, Moses made a major contribution to the spiritual and cultural development of Israelite society. This study emphasizes the importance of character, commitment, and competence in Christian leadership, as well as the importance of paying attention to the example of Moses in forming quality leaders and educators

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of financing structure on debt risk among fishery MSMEs in South Buton Regency, Indonesia. Using a mixed-methods approach with a survey of 200 MSMEs, this research developed a Financial Structure Index (FSI) and applied Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that 66.5% of MSMEs rely on informal financing (pengambe) with an effective interest rate of 238.94% per year. The proportion of informal financing has a positive and significant effect on the probability of default (beta=0.0067; p<0.001) and financial distress index (beta=0.440; p<0.001). MSMEs with a hybrid structure exhibit significantly lower default risk (0.205 vs 0.392; p<0.001) and lower weighted cost of capital (153.39 vs 199.45; p<0.001) compared to informal-dominant MSMEs. These findings underscore the urgency of policy interventions through a blended financing framework that integrates formal credit access, financial literacy, and risk-sharing mechanisms.

Abstract

The freight forwarding industry relies heavily on complete and accurate sales documentation to support revenue recognition, accounts receivable recording, tax compliance, and reliable financial reporting. The quality of accounting information generated by an Accounting Information System (AIS) depends largely on the effectiveness of internal controls governing sales documentation. However, deficiencies in supporting document completeness, document verification, and interdepartmental coordination continue to undermine accounting information reliability in many freight forwarding companies. This study evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls over sales documentation using the COSO Internal Control Framework within an Indonesian freight forwarding company. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through observations, document analysis, interviews, and internal control evaluation at PT X. The findings indicate that weaknesses in supporting document completeness, authorization procedures, information and communication, ERP utilization, and monitoring reduce the reliability of accounting records, increase the risk of inaccurate revenue recognition and accounts receivable reporting, and ultimately impair financial reporting quality. The study extends the application of the COSO Internal Control Framework by demonstrating how deficiencies in sales documentation controls influence accounting information quality, thereby providing an Accounting Information Systems perspective that links internal controls with financial reporting reliability. The findings further suggest that strengthening document verification procedures, optimizing ERP integration, and enhancing continuous monitoring can improve accounting information quality and support more reliable financial reporting.

Abstract

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation is a strategic digital transformation in healthcare. Pusdikkes Puskesad Hospital East Jakarta has implemented EMR since 2023, achieving an 85% implementation rate. However, patient waiting time inefficiencies in the Emergency Department (ED) persist due to technical constraints. This study aims to analyze the effect of EMR implementation on patient waiting time efficiency and service quality in the ED. A quantitative observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted, involving 238 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an EMR implementation questionnaire (30 items), a waiting time observation sheet, and a service quality questionnaire (25 items), and analyzed using Chi-Square test (*p* < 0.05). Results showed that most respondents rated EMR implementation as good (75.6%), most patients experienced fast waiting times (84.0%), and most rated service quality as good (58.8%). Chi-Square analysis revealed significant effects of EMR implementation on waiting time efficiency (*p* = 0.005) and service quality (*p* = 0.029). In the good EMR group, 87.8% had fast waiting times and 62.8% rated service quality as good, compared to 72.4% and 46.6% in the poor EMR group. Good EMR implementation significantly improves patient waiting time efficiency and service quality in the Emergency Department.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the use of colloquial language on the YouTube channel *Kok Bisa?* from a sociolinguistic perspective. The data were taken from videos in the playlist *Taman Edukasi: Learning Science So Fun!*. This research employed a descriptive methodological approach and a theoretical framework based on Charles A. Ferguson’s Diglossia theory and Howard Giles’ Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT). Data were collected using the Free Listening Engagement (SBLC) and note-taking techniques, then analyzed through the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, consisting of data collection, reduction, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the educational videos apply diglossia and communication accommodation strategies to improve comprehension and establish familiarity with viewers. The identified colloquial forms include single words, clipped words, vowel changes, and affixation. The use of colloquial language effectively simplifies complex scientific concepts, making them more accessible and engaging for students. This effectiveness is supported by positive responses from viewers in the YouTube comment section. The study contributes practical insights for educators and content creators in designing educational videos that communicate learning materials more effectively through appropriate sociolinguistic strategies.
