Abstract

This study examines the effect of AI Art Generator adoption on consumer trust and interest in using Hyuna Media's illustration services in Bandung. Using a descriptive quantitative causal-associative approach, data from 100 respondents were collected via a 1–7 Likert questionnaire and analyzed with SEM-PLS. All constructs proved valid and reliable (AVE 0.508–0.546; Composite Reliability > 0.70). AI Art Generator Adoption had a significant positive effect on Consumer Trust (β = 0.689; p = 0.000) and Consumer Interest (β = 0.604; p = 0.000), while Consumer Trust also significantly affected Consumer Interest (β = 0.189; p = 0.044). The model explained 47.5% of the variance in Trust and 42.8% in Interest. Findings confirm that Hyuna Media's success in positioning AI as a supporting tool—rather than a replacement—for human illustrators is key to building trust that drives consumer interest.

Abstract

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of cardiometabolic risk factors that increase the risk of developing chronic conditions, including type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. However, many patients or members of the general public are unaware of these conditions, compounded by issues such as low awareness of the importance of routine health check-ups, particularly laboratory tests for early detection of this metabolic disease. The purpose of this community service activity was to screen blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol levels, accompanied by health education as a preventive and promotive measure for the productive age group. The outreach activity was conducted with 38 teachers and education staff at Xaverius 2 Senior High School in Palembang. Its implementation involved several stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. The results showed that 15 respondents had normal blood pressure, while 23 individuals had hypertension. Regarding cholesterol levels, 14 respondents had cholesterol levels ≥ 200 mg/dL, 4 had uric acid levels ≥ 7.2 mg/dL, and 3 had blood sugar levels > 150 mg/dL.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the paradigm of inclusive financial management to enhance the adaptive capacity of disabled batik SMEs in Magelang City. Despite the growing emphasis on financial inclusion, existing frameworks often fail to accommodate the unique constraints faced by entrepreneurs with disabilities in traditional industries. This research employs an experimental design by integrating accessibility, behavioral finance, and adaptive capability approaches through structured interventions, including financial literacy training and inclusive financial tools. The findings reveal that the reconstructed model significantly improves financial decision-making, resilience, and business adaptability. Furthermore, this study aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The integration of social support and digital finance strengthens sustainability among marginalized SMEs. This study offers both theoretical contributions by advancing inclusive finance paradigms and practical implications for policymakers in fostering equitable and sustainable economic development in emerging economies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and compare the forms of bodily transformation, the social function of metamorphosis, and the representation of family alienation as a structure of power in Eka Kurniawan's novel Cantik Itu Luka and Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis. Both novels employ grotesque and surreal elements to critique different power systems: Kafka critiques capitalism and bureaucracy in early 20th-century European modern society, while Kurniawan critiques patriarchy and colonialism in the postcolonial Indonesian context. Using a qualitative descriptive-comparative method with an intertextual approach, this study analyzed primary data in the form of quotations from both novels and secondary data from relevant scholarly articles. The analytical techniques included close reading, comparative matrices, and critical analysis employing three theoretical frameworks: deconstruction, postcolonial feminism, and existentialist absurdism. The findings reveal that: (1) the physical forms of transformation differ between the two novels but are functionally similar as markers of lost social status; (2) the social function of metamorphosis in Kafka serves as a critique of capitalism that reduces human beings to their economic productivity, while in Kurniawan it critiques patriarchy and colonialism that commodify women's bodies; (3) family in both novels is represented not as a place of protection but as an extension of repressive power systems. This research contributes to the development of comparative literature studies by offering an integrative model combining three theoretical frameworks.

Abstract

Sentencing guidelines serve as an essential reference for judges in rendering fair, certain, and beneficial decisions. However, the criminal justice system in Indonesia still faces various problems, such as inconsistent verdicts, ultra petita decisions, and sentences that are disproportionate to the severity of the crimes committed. This occurs because the sentencing guidelines regulated under Articles 53–56 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2020 remain general, facultative, and non-binding in nature, thereby granting judges broad room for interpretation. This study employs a micro-comparative legal research method to compare the sentencing guideline norms between Indonesia and the United States. The findings indicate that the nomenclature of Articles 53–56 of the KUHP is more accurately classified as sentencing principles, similar to Article 46 of the German Criminal Code, rather than as technical and measurable sentencing guidelines such as the United States Sentencing Commission Guidelines Manual (USSG), which is based on a point-scoring system and overseen by an independent body (USSC). This study concludes that Indonesia needs to reconstruct its sentencing guidelines with a more rigid and measurable structure, without the need to establish a new supervisory institution, as this function can be carried out by the existing Supreme Court and Judicial Commission.

Abstract

Early reading skills constitute a fundamental literacy competence that forms the basis for children's future academic success. However, literacy instruction in kindergarten frequently faces challenges, including limited engaging teaching materials, teacher-centered practices, and low levels of children's participation. This study aimed to develop play-based literacy teaching materials that are valid, practical, and effective in improving the early reading skills of kindergarten children. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed by adapting the Borg and Gall development model, encompassing needs analysis, product planning, development, expert validation, revision, limited field testing, field implementation, and final refinement. Participants included kindergarten teachers and children in Demak Regency, Indonesia. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and learning outcome assessments, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The findings demonstrated that the developed materials achieved high validity based on evaluations by subject matter experts, media experts, and practitioners. Implementation significantly improved children's learning motivation, classroom engagement, letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and word-building skills. Additionally, the use of manipulative learning media fostered meaningful learning experiences and encouraged active participation. These findings indicate that play-based literacy materials provide an effective and innovative instructional resource for enhancing early reading skills and strengthening literacy development in early childhood education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and the non-physical work environment on the performance of harvest employees at PT Nusa Pusaka Kencana Bahilang Estate. The study was motivated by differences in productivity among harvest employees, which may be influenced by leadership practices and workplace conditions. It is based on Human Resource Management theory, which emphasizes that transformational leadership and a supportive non-physical work environment are essential factors in improving employee performance. This research employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The sample consisted of 49 harvest employees selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 21. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.640; t = 4.933; p = 0.000). Likewise, the non-physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.663; t = 4.561; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect employee performance (F = 19.751; p = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.462) indicates that 46.2% of the variation in employee performance is explained by these variables, while the remaining 53.8% is influenced by other factors. The findings suggest that strengthening transformational leadership and fostering a supportive non-physical work environment can sustainably improve harvest employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of discipline in enhancing Islamic values at SMP Negeri 1 Stabat. Although prior studies have evidenced the significance of Islamic disciplinary programs for character formation, a research gap remains regarding the integration mechanisms within non-Islamic-labeled state schools. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research subjects include the school principal, three Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, two homeroom teachers, and ten students selected via purposive sampling. Source and technique triangulation were applied to ensure data validity, while analysis employed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). Findings identify four main implementation forms: school regulations grounded in Islamic values, habituation of congregational prayers, pre-class Qur'anic recitation, and teacher exemplary conduct as role models. Results indicate significant positive impacts across four Islamic character dimensions: ritual worship consistency, social moral improvement, academic discipline enhancement, and strengthened intrinsic religious motivation. This study contributes theoretically by integrating Self-Determination Theory (SDT) into an Islamic character education framework, while offering practical implications for state school administrators seeking to systematically implement Islamic values.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of religiosity on customer loyalty among Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) customers from a faith-based consumer behavior perspective. A quantitative approach with a causal cross-sectional design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires from 301 BSI customers selected using purposive sampling. Religiosity was measured using indicators adapted from Usman (2016), while customer loyalty was measured using the scale developed by Harris and Goode (2004). Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27 through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination analysis. The findings indicate that religiosity has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Customers with stronger religious commitment tend to demonstrate greater loyalty toward Islamic banking services. These findings support the faith-based consumer behavior perspective, suggesting that religious values remain an important factor influencing consumer attitudes and loyalty in Islamic banking.
