Abstract

The increasing demand for accurate financial management requires cooperatives to adopt integrated accounting information systems. The employee cooperative of the Indonesian Teachers Association in Arjawinangun still uses manual procedures for recording loans, installment payments, and financial reports, causing delays, data duplication, calculation errors, and limited access to timely information. This study aims to analyze the existing loan accounting information system and design a computerized system to improve operational effectiveness and reporting quality. Using a descriptive approach and the Waterfall development method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the current manual system is inefficient in processing loan applications, verifying member data, managing installment transactions, and generating reports. The proposed system integrates member, loan, and installment data into a centralized database, automates calculations and report generation, and enables real-time monitoring. The design is expected to improve data accuracy, operational efficiency, internal control, and management decision-making, while supporting the digital transformation of cooperatives and serving as a reference for similar financial institutions.

Abstract

Human resources are a critical organizational asset in supporting sustainable company performance, particularly in service-oriented industries such as leasing. Effective leadership and appropriate compensation are two important managerial factors that can shape employee attitudes, satisfaction, and performance. This study examines the influence of leadership and compensation on employee performance, with job satisfaction considered as a mediating variable, in the context of PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia. A quantitative research design was employed using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 193 employees. Secondary data from relevant journals and articles were also used to strengthen the theoretical foundation of the study. The findings indicate that leadership and compensation have a positive relationship with employee performance and employee satisfaction. In addition, job satisfaction has a positive effect on employee performance. The results further suggest that job satisfaction plays an indirect mediating role in the relationship between leadership, compensation, and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening leadership practices and designing fair compensation systems to enhance employee satisfaction and improve organizational performance. This study contributes to human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence from the leasing industry and offers practical implications for companies seeking to improve employee productivity through managerial and compensation strategies.

Abstract

Sungai Penuh City, located in the Batang Merao Watershed, Jambi Province, faces increasingly severe flooding, exemplified by the January 2024 event that inundated over 2,945 ha with depths of 0.5–1.5 m. This study assesses water-related hazard risk by integrating HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS hydrological-hydraulic modeling, multi-variable GIS spatial analysis, and the BNPB Risk Triangle framework. Design rainfall was derived using the GEV distribution from nine stations (2001–2023), yielding Q25 peak discharges of ~220 m³/s upstream and 2,300 m³/s downstream. Two-dimensional HEC-RAS simulation and BNPB-based indices (Peraturan Kepala BNPB No. 02/2012) show seven of eight districts classified as HIGH hazard (18,569 ha), with vulnerability and capacity both LOW. Combining these components yields an overall MODERATE risk level, with 3,271 ha classified as high risk and estimated economic losses of IDR 26.906 billion. Structural mitigation through Batang Merao River normalization could reduce hazard from HIGH to MODERATE, cutting population exposure by 72% (8,640 to 2,419 persons/km²) and property losses from IDR 24.657 billion to IDR 6.904 billion. Policy recommendations span three horizons: short-term (early warning systems, sediment dredging, Destana), medium-term (river normalization, retention ponds, Danau Kerinci revitalization), and long-term (a Flood-Resilient City based on Smart Water Management).

Abstract

Intership programs serve as an important means of developing practical skills aligned with industry neesd. This study aims to measure Indonesian students interest in the overseas internship program at Sheraton Taoyuan Hotel, Taiwan, using a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire from 19 student respondents majoring in hospitality and tourism. The results show an overall average interest score of 78.2%, classified as high. The perceived-benefit indicator obtained the highest score (92.9%), followed by intention to participate (89.1%), while clarity of registration information stood at 77.5%. These findings indicate a positive perception among students toward the added value of cross-country work experience, although concerns remain regarding Mandarin language proficiency, cultural adaptation, and distance from family. The study recommends strengthening foreign language training, cultural adaptation sessions, and greater transparency regarding costs and scholarships so that student interest can be translated into actual participation in international internship programs.

Abstract

This study explores the phenomenon of student academic disengagement in Arabic language learning in the digital age by examining its relationship with the limited use of digital learning media at STAI NU Kotabumi, Lampung. The study addresses low student engagement, reflected in minimal classroom participation, limited academic interaction, and declining motivation resulting from predominantly conventional teaching practices. A qualitative case study approach was employed involving two Arabic language lecturers and five students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal that limited utilization of digital learning media contributes to students’ academic disengagement, which is manifested in low classroom participation, weak academic interaction, reduced learning motivation, and limited enthusiasm for completing learning tasks. Arabic language instruction remains largely dependent on PowerPoint presentations and messaging applications, resulting in a monotonous learning environment that does not adequately support active student engagement. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating how inadequate integration of digital learning media is associated with academic disengagement in Arabic language learning within the context of an Islamic higher education institution. These findings highlight the need to develop more interactive and technology-based Arabic language learning strategies to strengthen students' behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of product quality and service quality on customer satisfaction and their impact on customer loyalty toward the Uniqlo brand. The study is motivated by the increasingly competitive fashion industry, which requires companies not only to provide high-quality products but also to deliver superior services that enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 50 respondents using a consecutive sampling technique and analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. The findings reveal that product quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction (β = 0.633; p < 0.001), while service quality also has a positive and significant effect (β = 0.331; p = 0.001). Simultaneously, both variables explain 82.1% of the variance in customer satisfaction (R² = 0.821). Furthermore, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (β = 0.815; p < 0.001), explaining 66.4% of the variance in customer loyalty (R² = 0.664). Customer satisfaction also mediates the relationship between product quality, service quality, and customer loyalty. The study concludes that strengthening customer loyalty requires companies to consistently maintain product and service quality in order to create customer satisfaction. Therefore, Uniqlo is recommended to strengthen product value communication, improve employees' product knowledge, and continuously enhance the overall shopping experience to sustain customer loyalty.

Abstract

The growing prevalence of mental health problems, accompanied by increasing suicide rates linked to psychological instability, requires a multidisciplinary approach. This study aims to formulate a new interpretation of Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah verse 186 using the IchwaniTafsir methodology as an integrative framework for understanding the dialogical relationship between human beings and Allah. The study employed a qualitative library research method by examining classical Qur'anic commentaries, academic books, scholarly journal articles, and official mental health reports. The findings reveal three interconnected dimensions of interpretation: a theological dimension emphasizing Allah's closeness to His servants, a psychological dimension highlighting spiritual intimacy as a source of emotional resilience, and a practical dimension positioning supplication as an accessible dialogical space for every individual. These findings demonstrate that Ichwani Tafsir provides a contextual perspective for integrating Qur'anic values with contemporary mental health issues.

Abstract

This study examines the role of non-state actors in resolving the border conflict between Indonesia and Timor Leste. Non-state actors have significant influence in border communities, through social, political, and economic networks. They often act as mediators in conflict negotiations, bridging the interests of local communities and the governments of both countries. This study focuses on: first, what is the role of non-state actors in the process of resolving the Indonesia-Timor Leste border conflict? Second, what is the relationship between state and non-state actors in the context of conflict resolution? The theoretical framework used in this study is conflict resolution theory to examine the relationship between state and non-state actors in managing border conflicts, both in resolution efforts and efforts to maintain peace on the border. This study uses a qualitative method by utilizing a case study of the role of Non-State Actors in resolving the Indonesia-Timor Leste border conflict in Oepoli. This study found that conflict resolution efforts by non-state actors actually have a significant contribution and are more accepted by the conflicting communities/actors. Conflict resolution efforts by non-state actors also contribute to maintaining peace and represent a new approach to conflict resolution on the border.

Abstract

A World Without (2021) berdasarkan perspektif dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida.

Abstract

The sustainability of Javanese karawitan is increasingly challenged by cultural transformation and declining youth participation. While previous studies have examined karawitan in educational settings, limited attention has been given to its development within religious communities as a model of arts education and cultural preservation. This study investigates community-based karawitan education implemented by Rosa Mustika Laras at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kudus, Central Java. A qualitative case study was employed using participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed through an interactive model, with credibility ensured by triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal that Rosa Mustika Laras integrates musical instruction, cultural transmission, and liturgical inculturation through regular ensemble practice and intergenerational learning. Beyond supporting Catholic liturgy, the community actively promotes cultural sustainability through public performances, educational outreach, and institutional collaboration. These activities strengthen cultural identity, encourage community participation, and support the regeneration of karawitan practitioners. This study demonstrates that religious communities can serve as effective spaces for community-based arts education while functioning as agents of intangible cultural heritage preservation.
