Abstract

This research aims to apply the Problem Solving method to overcome the difficulties of fifth grade students at SDN 126 Inpres Kariango in memorizing and understanding the main material of the Al-Quran. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out through three cycles involving planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The research results show that the Problem Solving method is effective in improving students' memorization abilities and deepening their understanding of the meaning of memorized verses. The application of this method also increases students' learning motivation, where students who were previously less motivated become more enthusiastic in memorizing and understanding the Al-Quran. Apart from that, there has been an increase in students' social skills, such as the ability to work together and communicate through group discussions which are part of the Problem Solving process. The implications of this research show that the Problem Solving method can be an effective alternative in learning to memorize the Quran, by providing space for students to think critically, independently, and understand the meaning of the verses in more depth. Teachers also play an important role as facilitators in guiding students in the problem solving process.

Abstract

Education is the main key in developing individual potential, including spiritual strength, self-control, intelligence, and skills needed by society, nation, and state. Early childhood education is very important because it is at this time that the potential for intelligence and the basis of behavior begin to be formed. Based on Ministerial Regulation Number 58 of 2009 concerning Formal Early Childhood Education Standards, there are five aspects of development that need to be considered, one of which is the strengthening of religious values. This research aims to improve the ability of children's prayer movements in TKIT Anak Bintang through the use of snake and ladder media in Group B at the Imtaq Center, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency. With this media, children are encouraged to practice prayer movements in a more orderly manner. The results of the study showed an increase in children's ability to practice prayer movements, proving that snake and ladder media can be an effective means of learning religion for early childhood. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 15 children from Group B, consisting of 6 boys and 8 girls.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the memorization of hadiths on piety among 4th-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Wathoniiyah Ciasem Subang through the application of the drill method. The drill method is a learning technique that emphasizes systematic and intensive repetition, believed to be effective in enhancing students' memory retention for memorized material. This research employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study are 25 fourth-grade students. The results indicate that the application of the drill method significantly improves students' ability to memorize hadiths on piety. This is evidenced by an increase in the average test scores of students' memorization results from the first to the second cycle. Additionally, students showed increased motivation and active participation in the learning process. The drill method not only helps students memorize faster but also strengthens their understanding of the content of the hadiths they memorize. Therefore, the implementation of the drill method has proven effective in improving the memorization of hadiths on piety among madrasah students. This method can serve as an alternative that teachers can adopt in teaching hadith memorization, particularly at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The success of learning is greatly influenced by a teacher's ability to design effective teaching strategies. Low student enthusiasm has a negative impact on learning outcomes, highlighting the need for improvement. One proposed approach is the True or False learning model, which can enhance student engagement. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the topic of faith in qadha and qadar in class VI at MIN 2 Aceh Timur through the application of this model. The method used is action research with two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action and observation, reflection, and revision. The target of the research is class VI students, with data collected from formative tests and observation sheets. The analysis results indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The mastery level in cycle I reached 74.10%, increasing to 85.19% in cycle II. The average student score also rose from 75 in cycle I to 82.8 in cycle II. Additionally, student activity increased from 66.67% in cycle I to 96.3% in cycle II. Therefore, the True or False model is effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes and engagement in Akidah Akhlak lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Education, particularly on the topic of Fathu Makkah, through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method. TGT, a cooperative learning model, emphasizes teamwork, competition, and active participation to improve students’ motivation and conceptual understanding. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, involving 30 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The findings reveal that the application of TGT significantly improved students’ learning outcomes and engagement. Students demonstrated greater enthusiasm, collaboration, and comprehension of the Fathu Makkah lesson through interactive learning activities. The method encouraged peer learning and provided a positive competitive atmosphere that enhanced both academic achievement and moral values such as cooperation and respect. These results highlight that the TGT method is an effective pedagogical approach for improving learning outcomes and fostering active participation in Islamic Education. Beyond academic gains, the model supports the development of character values aligned with Islamic teachings, making it a valuable strategy for teachers seeking to create dynamic, student-centered learning environments in primary Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ understanding of the signs of puberty and develop responsible attitudes through the implementation of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. Conducted as Classroom Action Research (CAR), the study involved two learning cycles comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were twelve fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Margajaya. Data were collected through comprehension tests, attitude observations, and interviews. The findings indicate that the use of PBL effectively improved students’ comprehension of pubertal changes and fostered more responsible behavior. Students demonstrated greater engagement during group discussions, completed tasks more independently, and showed increased empathy toward their peers. The application of PBL encouraged active learning, critical thinking, and moral awareness relevant to students’ developmental stages. This study highlights the potential of PBL as an effective pedagogical model in Islamic education to integrate cognitive and character development. By connecting learning materials about human growth with moral values such as gratitude and responsibility, PBL helps students understand personal changes as part of God’s creation, thereby strengthening their spiritual and social maturity.
