Abstract

Lately there has been frequent friction between groups that are only triggered by small things, both among the general public and the educated. Many people worry that if conditions like this continue, it is not impossible that this nation will experience degradation that can threaten the unity and unity of the nation. The transformation of local wisdom values (local genius) in the learning process is needed as an effort to reduce global influence that can damage the character of learners in line with the current modernization. However, the learning of religion, manners, and PPKn has not been able to maximally shape the character of learners. Therefore, the need for character education as a form of mental revolution of learners with the value of local wisdom.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate whether or not there is a correlation between the variable of the understanding of Pancasila (Indonesian Philosophy) Ideology and that of the Nationalism Attitude (A Study on the member of  Youths, Sports, and Education & Art Field of Surakarta Community Association).The result of research shows that there is a correlation between the understanding of Pancasila (Indonesian Philosophy) Ideology and the Nationalism Attitude (A Study on the member of  Youths, Sports, and Education & Art Field of Surakarta Community Association) as indicated by the result of the analysis in which the value of rxy  was 0.416. It was consulted to the value of rtable with N=79 at the significance level = 0.05, which resulted in the value of rtable = 0.220. Because the value of rtable= 0.416 was greater than 0.220, Ha was verified, but Ho was not verified. Thus, there is there is a correlation between the understanding of Pancasila (Indonesian Philosophy) Ideology and the Nationalism Attitude. The result of the correlation coefficient significance based on the t test shows that the value of tcount was 4.010. The result was consulted to the value of ttable = 1.991at the significance level of 5%. Because the value of tcount = 4.010 was greater than that of ttable= 1.991, the correlation coefficient was significant, meaning that H0 was not verified, but Ha was verified. Thus, there was a correlation between the understanding of Pancasila (Indonesian Philosophy) Ideology and the Nationalism Attitude.

Abstract

The world has started to walk out of the modern age. Dialectics that goes in it also is in transition to change. The answers of modernism is no longer satisfactory and even left a myriad of questions that need to be answered with a new paradigm. Thus, postmodernism appears to try to answer the challenges and obstacles in the postmodern world. Postmodern paradigm may not be the best answer of all the problems, but very helpful in re-examine the responses were deemed obsolete.

Abstract

Education is one basic right of each people and children that must be compited by goverment. It is completely sensitive about various negative teacher action whereas many various kind of education crime  it must be very important to include a special rule or Lex Speciales about criminal act in education world for regulating education law in Indonesia. The law is more special and regulating an education law norm. The education  law act is not only crime  but also violation were specialy regulated in criminal code. As lex Specialis, it is hoped that the law regulation can stand as its full of pure dimension as education world itself.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out whether or not there is an effect of  Every one is a teacher here type of active learning model with educative video media aids on critical  thinking ability in the 7th graders of SMP Negeri 13 of Surakarta in the school year of 2015/2016 in Basic Competency of Elaborating the importance of Freedom of Expressing Opinion independently and responsibly. This study was a product of quantitative research with experimental type using true experimental design and with posttest only controls design. The population in this research was 7th graders of SMP Negeri 13 of Surakarta, consisting of 225 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling one, in which there were two sample groups: 7th G grade as experiment and 7th F grade as control groups. Meanwhile, instrument validation was conducted using validity and reliability tests. Then, techniques of collecting data used were observation sheet, documentation sheet in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), and posttest in the form of essay test. Analytical prerequisite test was conducted using normality and homogeneity tests. Technique of analyzing data used was quantitative data with T-test analysis. Considering the result of research, it could be found that there was a difference between control and experiment grades, in which critical thinking ability measured using test obtained mean score of 82.05 for experiment and 77.69 for control grades. Thereafter, based on the result of T-test at significance level of 5%, it could be found tstatistic value of 2.396 while ttable of 1.999 (interpolation), so that the result obtained was tstatistic (2.396) > ttable (1.999). From the elaboration above, it could be concluded that there was an effect of Every one is a teacher here type of active learning model with educative video media aids on critical thinking ability Basic Competency of Elaborating the importance of Freedom of Expressing Opinion independently and responsibly. It could be seen from the difference of mean value between experiment and control grades.

Abstract

Considering the result of research, it could be concluded that: 1) The development of pacifist values to prevent bullying in order to establish the character of citizenship in SMA Negeri 1 and SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Gemolong done through teaching and learning activities in the classroom, outside the classroom and school culture. The strategy or how to instill that love of peace by example, habituation, spontaneous activity and conditioning.2)There are factors supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of pacifist values to prevent bullying in order to establish the character of citizenship. Supporting factors are: a) the awareness of schools to implement positive values in everyday life, b) the development of positive values of the culture of the school, c) the role of the teachers, d) subject matter that support and value-rich e) order and enforce discipline prohibiting violence, f) the proximity and effective communication, and g) cooperation between the school and the community. While inhibiting factors are: a) the condition that the student is still unstable and has a weakself-control, b) Teachers who are less innovative in developing a syllabus and lesson plan creation, c) environmental factors that are not harmonious family environment and socially unfavorable, d) lack of supervision, e) the negative effect of technology, f) There is still lack of knowledge about bullying or violence.

Abstract

The purpose of his study examines the phenomenon of the application of discovery learning strategies in teaching citizenship education at the Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. The purpose of research is to examine the citizenship education learning both conceptual, implementation (execution process) and the impact of learning, so as to obtain an answer or solution conceptually, policies and programs that are considered appropriate to the problems that have been formulated. The method of research used qualitative research methods and descriptive analytical approach. Data was collected through documentation, observation, interviews and focus group discussions. The results showed some weakness in the application of discovery learning strategy, namely: (1) students are not able to select the most appropriate source of material to build their knowledge about citizenship, (2) lack of lecturers provide guidance on various sites in the internet where the material citizenship could obtained, (3) less opportunity  for students to communicate information and ideas that have been obtained effectively and efficiently in a class discussion cause it?s very limited.  In conclusion, the weakness of the strategy implementation discovery learning caused by the managerial and learning process which subsequently weakens the ability of students to learn citizenship (students' learning capacity).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to 1) Determine the influence of jurisprudential learning model in the course of the Criminal Law of the student anti-corruption stance Prodi CIVICS FKIP UNS; 2) Knowing the influence of awareness of anti-corruption laws on the attitudes of students Prodi PPKn FKIP UNS; 3) Knowing the interaction effect of jurisprudential learning model the Criminal Law course with legal consciousness of the student anti-corruption stance Prodi PPKn FKIP UNS. In line with the aim of the study, the research method used is descriptive quantitative method, which means pendiskripsian correlational and litigious nature of the data in the form of figures and are present in the population. Populations and samples in this study were students of semester 2 PPKn Guidance and Counseling Program UNS 2009 school year are taking courses in Criminal Law number 60 people. Then the data were analyzed with statistical methods followed by Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, is to look for relationships between variables Y with two or more variables X. The formula y = a + + BX2 bX1. This study concludes: 1) There is a significant influence of jurisprudential application of learning models in the course of criminal laws against anti-corruption stance Prodi PPKn FKIP UNS students. Through the application of jurisprudential learning model anti-corruption stance of students will be increased. This can be seen as through the application of jurisprudential model of student learning can be actively engaged in learning activities, 2) There is a significant effect on anti-corruption stance Prodi PPKn FKIP UNS students in terms of the legal consciousness of students. Legal awareness should translate into attitudes, the more one is able to understand and implement anti-corruption values ??embodied growing anti korups and 3) There is an interaction effect of the application of jurisprudential learning model in the course of criminal law with the legal awareness of anti-corruption stance of students Prodi PPKn FKIP UNS. Through the application of appropriate learning model chosen by the faculty and the high legal awareness by the students will form an anti-corruption stance.
