Abstract

This research is a case study research. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data sources used are events, informants and documents. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and data analysis. Data validity test used is source triangulation, method triangulation, and informant review. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis model. The results of this study are descriptions of: (1) RPP components prepared by teachers in accordance with Permendikbud, but the conformity of the contents can not be said either; (2) the implementation of biographical text-based speech-learning in the inclusion class of SMAN 8 Surakarta has been conducted based on the 2013 curriculum; (3) evaluations conducted by subject teachers in the form of giving remedial questions; (4) obstacles faced by Indonesian subject teachers in learning biographical texts at SMAN 8 Surkarta. Teacher constraints include(a) lack of understanding of sign language to communicate with students with special needs for quadriplegic speech; (b) there is no special teacher for ABK; (c) students with special needs tend to close themselves, and (d) lack of use of the media as a medium of learning media. (5) efforts made by Indonesian language teachers at SMAN 8 Surakarta in addressing the problems faced in learning biographical texts in the inclusive class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the grammatical aspects contained in Tere Liye's novel "Rain" and (2) the grammatical aspect of Tere Liye's novel "Rain" which can be used as a learning material in High School XII class. This research includes qualitative research with the main data source is Tere Liye's novel "Rain" by 2017. The characteristic of the novel "Rain" is simple, both simple in the use of language, and simple in the story presented. Sampling technique of this research using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used is discourse analysis model according to text and context. The results of this study indicate that Tere Liye's novel "Rain" uses the appropriate grammatical aspects so as to form a unified discourse. Grammatical aspects used include references, substitutions, ellipsis and conjunctions. The discourse of "Rain" by Tere Liye has relevance as a novel teaching material at High School because the discourse is presented in simple language and featuring a light storyline.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the intrinsic element;(2) personality aspect of the main character;(3) character education; and(4) the relevance of the personality of the main character and the value of character education in the novel Rantau 1 Muara Fuadi with learning literature appreciation in High School.This research is a descriptive-qualitative research which used psychology literature approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were document analysis techniques and interviews. The data validity techniques used were data triangulation and source triangulation.The results of this research showed that the structural elements that build include: the theme of education, groove mix, setting a place located in Bandung, Jakarta, Maninjau, America, and England, the personality, the standpoint of using the technique of acknowledgment and the message to consistently pursue ideals.Through the three dimensional character is obtained figures of Alif and Dinara. The personality of the main characters in the novel, analyzed using Freud’s psychoanalytic theory which includes three personality structures Id, Ego, and Superego. Novel Rantau 1 Muara also contains the value of hard work education found on the main characters, Alif and Dinara. Novel Rantau 1 Muara is relevant to the learning of literature appreciation in high school class XII.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe diction (word choise, figure of a speech, imagery of Dari Hari Ke Hari’s novel by Mahbub Djunaidi, and the relevance of the results of studies as Bahasa Indonesia teaching material for the Senior High School. This study is a qualitative descriptive with content analysis method. The result showed that. First, the use of diction (choice words) includes concrete words, connotative words, word greetings or self-names, vulgar words, words of absorption, regional vocabulary, and words with natural reality. Second, the use of language style (Figure of a speech) includes simile, metaphor, personification, depersonification, allegory, antithesis, pleonasme, periprasis, anticipation, epanortosis, satire, paradox, climax, anti-climax, allusion, atonomation, eroteris, asyndeton, polisedenton, epizeukis, anaphora, and epystrofa. Third, the use of imagery includes visual imagery, motion imagery, olfactory imagery, tactical imagery, and auditory images. Fourth, Dari Hari Ke Hari’s novel can be used as a teaching material in high school literature class XII curriculum of 2013, ie at base competence understand the structure and rules of novel text.

Abstract

This research is a case study research.. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Source of data used in the form of events, informants, and documents. Data collection technique used are direction observation, interview, and document. The data validity test used is triangulation of source and triangulation method. Data analysis technique used is flow model. The result of this research is description of: (1) the characteristic Indonesian Papuan dialect are divided into linguistic and nonlinguistic elements. The linguistic elements include; (a) phoneme replacement; (b) diphthong replacement; (c) phoneme removal; (d) the use of intonation. Nonlinguistic elements are speech and paralinguistic events; (2) the factors that influence the emergence of Indonesian Papuan dialect are; (a) administrative unity; (b) a specific sense of community identity; (3) the same of geographical area; (d) historical experience; (3) characteristics of Indonesian Papuan dialect has relevance as materials of sociolinguistic subject at Indonesian Language Education Department of Sebelas Maret University.

Abstract

This is descriptive qualitative research using stylistic analysis to describe the existence of language style, diction, image, educational values of the character, and the relevance of the lyrics of Fourtwnty album Lelaku as a teaching material for Indonesian language learning at high school. Data collection techniques use content analysis and interviews. Validity test of data using medhod triangulation techniques and theory. The results of this study indicatethe language style dominated by sinpoke, repetition epizeuksis, and symbolic able to create aesthetic effects, typical, and affirmation; (2) diction is dominated by connotative and typical greetings and names that can create beauty and uniqueness; (3) the image  is  dominated by  vision capable of generating the image  of  the  reader; (4) the  values  of  character  education  are dominated by religious values, communicative, hard work, and  peaceful  love  that  is expected to shape the character of the reader; and (5) The lyrics of Fourtwnty's album Lelaku can be used and developed as learning materials of class X Indonesian language especially poetry appreciation material on basic competence 3.8 and 4.8.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research aims to (1) describe and explain the structure of folklore of Purbalingga District, (2) to describe and explain the social care values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) describe and explain the relevance of folklore as the character buildingand teaching material in Junior High School. Data and information are collected through informants and documents. Data collection is done through observation, recording, interview, and document analysis. Research sample is determined by purposive sampling technique. Validation of data is done by triangulation. The results of this research are:(1) the structure of folklore Purbalingga District, (2) social caring values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) relevance of folklore as the character building and teaching material in Junior High School.

Abstract

This form of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources of this research are novel and informants. Technique of taking research subject is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used is technique read dan write dan interviews. Test the validity of data using triangulation of data sources and theory. Data analysis technique used is flow analysis technique. The result show that: (1) the theme raised in the novelet is the deity, the protagonist, the plot is a forward flow, the story set in Jakarta in 1994, the point of view of the first person the main character, his message is to be a good agent of Goodness; (2) Gagah and Yudi characters have elements id, ego, and superego, Gita character has high id and ego and experiencing the most powerful inner conflicts; (3) the value of character education contained in the novelet includes religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, friendly/communicative, peace loving, reading, caring, caring, responsible; and (4) the novelet Ketika Mas Gagah Pergi is relevant to be used as a teaching material when viewed from its relation with instructional objectives to be achieved, also from the aspect of content, presentation, language, and graph.

Abstract

This research aimed at describing and explaining about (1) the discourse structure of review text on book review columns in Solopos Newspaper January-December 2017 edition; (2) the textual aspects of book review; (3) the contextual aspects of book review; (4) the relevance of book review columns in Solopos Newspaper January-December 2017 edition as the teaching materials of review text in Secondary Junior High Schools and in Secondary Senior High Schools. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. The results of this research indicated that (1) the discourse structure of review text on book review columns included opening paragraph, contacting paragraph or content, and closing paragraph; (2) textual aspects supporting the completeness of book review were the topic of discourse, aspects of cohesion and coherence, and forms of words; (3) the contextual aspects on book review could be understood through four interpretive principles, namely: the principle of personal interpretation, the principle of local interpretation, the principle of temporal interpretation, and the principle of analogy; and (4) the results of this research also indicated that book review columns in Solopos Newspaper January-December 2017 edition could be used as the teaching materials of review text in Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: (1) social background novel Kambing dan Hujan, (2) the social background of the author, (3) a response from readers based on social background, (4) the value of tolerance, (5) the relevance of novel Kambing dan Hujan with teaching materials appreciation of literature in high school. This study is a qualitative research approach of sociology of literature. The data collection technique used is the analysis of documents and interviews. Analysis of the data used is an interactive model. The conclusions of this study are: (1) aspects of social background in the novel: habits, customs, traditions, ways of thinking and behaving, beliefs, and outlook on life; (2) social background author: born in Lamongan, East Java, on May 7, 1980. Living in Yogyakarta and work as a novelist, editor, and facilitator in Bengkel Menulis Gerakan Literasi Indonesia. Novel Kambing dan Hujan written based on the experience of author when living in the region of origin; (3) a response from the reader, the novel nice and attractive and provide a positive influence; (4) the value of tolerance in the novel: the value of tolerance to the habit, circumstances, views, and behavior; (5) novel Kambing dan Hujan relevant with teaching materials appreciation of literature in high school because having already qualified identification of teaching material learning and in accordance with the teaching materials in the syllabus Indonesian subjects Curriculum 2013 revised edition 2016.
