Abstract

Composting is one of the best ways to manage organic waste. The purpose of this study was to study how the addition of rice husks to the process and quality of compost made from dry leaves. Rice husks were chosen as an additive because they are easy to find and have the ability to absorb moisture. In this study, various proportions of rice husks were added to the mixture of dry leaf materials. During the composting process, temperature, humidity, pH, and carbon and nitrogen levels were observed. The results showed that the addition of rice husks significantly affected the process rate and quality of the compost, with certain proportions of rice husks producing compost with an ideal ratio. The addition of rice husks was also shown to accelerate the composting time and increase the stability and structure of the compost. Therefore, the use of rice husks as an additive in composting can be suggested as an effective and sustainable solution in managing organic waste.

Abstract

Mekar Bersatu Village, a small village in Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency, faces several challenges, one of which is in terms of improving the economy of the community. In addition, this village also has various potentials that can be developed. UMKM are one potential solution to economic problems in the village. One of the potential UMKM is UD. Mak Hani which produces ginger powder. However, the quality of the packaging and the design of the packaging label that is less attractive are the main obstacles. For this reason, KKN PMD students from Mataram University in Mekar Bersatu Village provide solutions in the form of packaging updates and packaging label innovations. The purpose of this activity is to update the packaging to be more practical and innovate the packaging design by improving the packaging design to increase the economic value and creative economy of the village community, especially UMKM. This activity takes eight stages, including involving several methods such as surveys, interviews, determining the MSMEs involved, problem analysis, problem solving with SWOT analysis, to implementing solutions and product promotion. The results of this activity are in the form of ginger powder products with new packaging that is more practical and attractive. In addition, the results of this activity are in the form of more attractive and informative packaging labels. The target of this program also accepted the solutions provided. This activity is expected to continue and can provide a sustainable positive impact on the local economy.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program is a form of community service by students as part of the education curriculum in Indonesia. KKN activities in Pengadangan Village, Pringgasela District, East Lombok Regency, focus on optimizing household waste processing through making compost. This program aims to utilize the agricultural potential in the village, as well as provide solutions to the problem of household waste that has not been managed properly. The main activities carried out include socialization and training in making compost using the biopore method. The results of this activity are expected to support sustainable green economy programs and increase public awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly waste management.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Lewirato Village, Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara, focuses on empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the digital era. This research emphasizes enhancing the visibility and market reach of SMEs through digital marketing strategies, such as the use of social media, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter (X). This program is based on data showing that the use of digital applications such as Websites, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok has significantly increased in Indonesia. Therefore, utilizing digital platforms is crucial for SMEs to reach potential consumers. The methods used in this program include socialization, training, mentoring, and creating social media accounts. The results indicate increased sales, visibility, and knowledge about digitalization for SME operators. Challenges faced include limited internet access, difficulties in using technology, and lack of capital. Recommendations include expanding internet access, providing ongoing training programs, capital support, and developing digital infrastructure. This program is expected to serve as a model for other KKN programs in assisting SMEs to tackle challenges in the globalization era.

Abstract

The study ran a blue economy based tourist marketing strategy through a company profile video as an effort to boost tourist attraction. The study is carried out in guar district samogata, east lombok district, and research is carried out in August 2024 with 29 people engaging the village of padak guar. As for the conduct of this activity, the production of the company profile video village on padak gaur. This study suggests that after the performance of these social events, people in attendance have suggested that they are aware of the importance of using technology in daily life, primarily promoting the tourist village of padak guar, in order to boost the economy of padak guar village. And the collaboration between the community and the real-life work team working on the community outreach section on the village's instagram feed on padak guar has been successful.

Abstract

Indonesia has significant potential in the blue economy, particularly in the marine and fisheries sector. Desa Ekas Buana, located in Lombok Timur Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, is one of the villages with such potential; however, the local community faces various challenges in optimally utilizing marine resources. To address these issues, a Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by UNRAM students in Desa Ekas Buana aims to enhance community skills through training in the production of fish floss (abon ikan) and business licensing socialization. The fish floss production training focuses on the village women to increase the added value of the abundant marine products. Meanwhile, the business licensing socialization aims to help MSME entrepreneurs understand the importance of business legality, open access to various facilities, and prepare them for wider market opportunities. This program received positive responses from both the community and the village government, demonstrating its success in empowering the community through marine product processing and business legality.

Abstract

Maringkik Island is part of Teluk Jukung which has abundant marine resources ranging from diverse marine flora and fauna. The purpose of this paper, is to introduce tourist attractions, improve the community’s economy, and increase visitor attractiveness in Maringkik Island Village. Research Methods, this activity is carried out through three stages, namely: promotion preparation, survey of potential tourism objects for promotion, making facilities and infrastructure, community assistance for tourism business development. Conclusion, the implementation of a comprehensive and coordinated strategy to increase tourist visits to Maringkik Island, optimizing the tourism potential in Maringkik Island Village, starting from the development of adequate infrastructure, quality improvement and local culture are important factors in attracting tourists, the involvement of local communities in the management and preservation of culture can also enrich the tourist experience and add value to this destination. Effective promotion is carried out with the use of technology and effective promotion is carried out with the use of technology, effective promotion with the use of digital technology, such as social media, websites, online tourism platforms, is crucial to reach a wider market, cooperation with government, travel agents, and the media to expand the reach of promotion, the right strategy and sustainability are the keys to Maringkik Island Village as a popular and competitive tourist destination.

Abstract

Tetebatu Village has abundant biodiversity and natural potential, which needs to be protected to maintain its sustainability. The green economy concept is a relevant approach to protecting natural wealth in this village. The aim of this activity is to actualize the green economy through various initiatives that have an impact on economic, social, and environmental aspect. One way of implementing a green economy in Tetebatu Village is through the production of Trigona Honey. This activity method certainly examines the problem in Tetebatu Village, namely that the implementation of the green economy has not been optimal due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, especially in the production of Trigona Honey over the last two years, so a Forest Product Optimazation program is needed. The result of student dedication in this case show be a positive impact. Before this program, Trigona Bee had difficulty finding plants around the cultivation location, indicating that there were not yet optimal. This program contributes by planting coffe seedlings around cultivations locations, which is expected to increase Trigona Bee production. Apart from that, the addition of Trigona Bee stock was also carried out to further optimize production. Thisefforts aims to increase result and effectiveness in sustainable Trigona Honey production. The conclusion of this agenda is the creation of an optimal and comprehensive green economy in Tetebatu Village

Abstract

Mertak Village is a village with a coastal area that has natural tourism potential and is included in the development area of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone in Central Lombok Regency. To increase the participation of the Mertak Village Community, a community service program was initiated which is directly related to the empowerment of the potential in the waters in Mertak Village, especially the development of seaweed through socialization and management strategies and marketing of processed seaweed products. The Mertak Village community empowerment program aims to improve the community's living standards through processing seaweed into healthy crispy. Seaweed is an abundant natural resource potential in Mertak Village, but so far it has not been utilized optimally. Through this program, the people of Mertak Village are given training and assistance in seaweed cultivation, post-harvest processing into crispy snacks, and marketing strategies. The crispy seaweed snacks produced are expected to be a superior product of the village that has a high selling value and is healthy. This empowerment program is expected to have a positive impact on the economy of the people of Mertak Village, as well as increase public awareness of the sustainable use of natural resource potential.

Abstract

Labuhan Lombok Village is a village that has quite good potential in economic terms. This village excels in the fisheries sector, both marine fisheries and aquaculture, as well as agriculture with rice, corn and horticulture crops. The rich social culture with local wisdom and the tradition of mutual cooperation also becomes an attraction. The beautiful coastal environment with mangrove and coral reef conservation and sustainable agriculture are the ecological strengths of this village. Labuhan Lombok Village has the potential to become a model of sustainable and highly competitive rural development. This village is known as a strategic coastal village. The majority of residents work as fishermen and farmers, while others are involved in trade, services and home industry. This village has several promising tourism potentials, especially because of its natural beauty and beaches. The level of community education tends to increase with the existence of schools that provide primary to secondary education, and community social life is based on mutual cooperation and togetherness. In shrimp cultivation activities in shrimp ponds, the intention is also to involve the community as a permit place so that the pond runs smoothly during cultivation activities. The company's goal of involving the community is also to increase the prosperity and welfare of the surrounding community and to play a role in providing opportunities for the surrounding community and to improve the economy. Apart from that, the company also carries out social activities as a form of concern for the community such as mutual cooperation, sharing takjil, social service, tadarusan, and fasting together.
