Abstract

This study originated from the fact that in school learning undertaken by teachers is still conventional, teacher-centered learning still. Therefore, the researchers in this study used a model of cooperative learning approach Jigsaw type). This study aims to improve the learning process in the fourth grade Civics District 40 District Lubuk cone Surabayo Agam District. This research is action research (Classromm action research), this study used qualitative and quantitative approaches undertaken by 2 cycles collaboratively between researchers and teachers. The research data in the form of information about the process and outcome measures obtained from the observation and recording of every action in Civics learning about the system of the central government in the fourth grade Surabayo District 40 District Lubuk cone Agam District, subjects were teachers and students of the fourth grade terteliti. Abstract

This study aims to determine relationship between motivation with students learning outcomes in learning social studies in the fourth grade. This type of research is correlational research. The population of this research is the fourth grade students of elementary school Gugus Anai Silaing Bawah as many as 97 students. The sample of this research of 78 students. From the data analysis, Pearson Correlation value was 0,912 and r table with DF = 76 at 5% significance level 0f 0,22  which means that r count is greater that r table (0,912>0,22). And obtained a significance value of 0,000 is less that 0,05 (0,000<0,05). Thus it can be concluded there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes in learning social studies in class IV elementary school Gugus Anai Silaing Bawah. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Learning Outcomes, Social Studies

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that teachers tend to apply the conventional learning model. Learning is still centered on the teacher, so the students less actively participate in the learning. Teachers rarely build basic knowledge of students at the beginning of learning and rarely do reflections at the end of learning, as well as student learning outcomes in IPS lessons that still tend to be under the KKM. This study aims to determine the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning on student learning outcomes in learning IPS class V in SD N Gugus 3 Kec. Geringging River Kab.Pariaman in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. This research was conducted on the material of figures during the Hindu-Buddhist and Islam in Indonesia.               This research is a quantitative research with experimental type and quasi experimental research design. Sampling data is collected by Random Sampling cluster technique. The sample of this study amounted to 28 people, with a population of 150 people.Based on the research that has been done, obtained t count> ttable = (9,59> 1,70562)> from 0,227 with α = 0,05 means Ho rejected. The average learning outcomes measured by posttest after the learning that is in the experimental class 82.85 and control class 75.14 so that Ha accepted that there is influence the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model of student learning outcomes in learning IPS class V in SD N Gugus 3 Kec. Abstract

Describing the improvement of student learning outcomes using the Quantum Tecahing model in integrated thematic learning in grade IV elementary schools is the aim of this study. Integrated thematic learning is learning that uses themes in the learning process. This research method, using classroom action research methods with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Where this research was conducted on the fourth grade students of SDN 03 Pasaman, amounting to 20 people consisting of 12 male students and 8 female students. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning using the Quantum Tecahing model. From the average value of 73.85% in the first cycle to 87.95% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Emotional Intelligence is the ability to motivate yourself, resolve the frustration, control the pressure, adjust mood, empathy and the ability to work in team. In fact, we found that there are still students who speak harshly to their friends, often cursing others and even there are students who easily get angry and tempered when their friends give a joke. One of the factors that influence it is interpersonal communication in their family. The purpose of this study is to: (1) describe students’  emotional intelligence, (2) describe interpersonal communication in their family, and (3) test the significance of the relationship of the interpersonal communication in the family with students emotional intelligence.  This research is a quantitative research with descriptive correlational type. The population of this study were 475 students of SMA Adabiah 2 Padang  and a sample in number of 219 students that is selected by Stratified Random Sampling method. The instruments which used were interpersonal communication  in students family and students' emotional intelligence questionnaires. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques and Pearson Product Moment techniques. This research found  that: (1) the interpersonal communication in family was in a good category with its percentage is 77.54%, (2) students' emotional intelligence in the high category with its percentage is 77.48%, (3) there is a significant positive relationship between interpersonal communication in the family and students' emotional intelligence with a correlation coefficient is 0.578 and a significance level is 0.000. It can be concluded that there is a significantly positive relationship between interpersonal communication in family and students' emotional intelligence.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Family, Emotional Intelligence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya nilai hasil belajar pada pembelajaran penjumlahan pecahan berpenyebut berbeda di kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sungai Aur Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Hal ini terjadi karena pada pembelajaran penjumlahan pecahan berpenyebut berbeda guru belum menggunakan benda konkret dari permasalahan nyata terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari hari,untuk meningkatkan asil belajar dengan pendekatan RME. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas , menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian siklus I perencanaan diperoleh  70%, pelaksanaan  aspek guru 72%, aspek siswa 66%,  nilai  siswa 67,1.  siklus II  perencanaan diperoleh  89%, tahap pelaksanaan  aspek guru 93%, aspek siswa 88%,  hasil tes akhir siswa meningkat menjadi 81,6. dengan menggunakan pendekatan RME dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam materi penjumlahan pecahan berpenyebut berbeda .   Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, pecahan penyebut berbeda ,rme

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of application of new and creative ways of learning. Sometimes, when a group of people work together on this learning, they don’t work as well as they could. This study uses qualitative and quantitative research in the form of classroom action research (CAR). It was carried out in two cycles covering four stages, namely preparation, implementation, observation and reflection. Researchers as practitioners, class teachers as observers, and fifth-grade students at SDN 01 Pauh Padang City were the subjects of this study. The research findings revealed an increase: the observation of lesson plans in cycle I received a Good qualification (B) increased in cycle II to obtain a Very Good qualification (SB), the movement of educators in cycle I received a Enough qualification (C) increased in cycle II to obtain a Very Good qualification (SB), the actions of students in cycle I got the qualification Enough (C) increased in cycle II to get the qualification Very Good (SB), and student learning outcomes in cycle I got a score with the qualification Enough (C) increased in cycle II got an average score of Good ( B). Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that integrated thematic learning with the Project Based Learning model can improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This class action research aims to improve science learning outcomes by using the Problem Based Leraning model in class V SD 09 Koto Luar, Padang City. The research subjects were 24 students in class V. The results showed a) that the RPP in the first cycle obtained an average value of 80.35% (Good) in the second cycle to 96.42% (Very Good), b) the implementation of learning from the aspect of the teacher in the first cycle obtained a value of 76.78 % (Good) in the second cycle to 96.42% (Very Good), in terms of aspects of students in the first cycle scored 73.21% (enough) in the second cycle to 92.85% (Very Good), c) learning outcomes students in the first cycle scored 73.33 (enough) in the second cycle to 86.06 (Very Good). Thus, the Problem Based Learning Model can improve science learning outcomes in class V SD N 09 Koto Luar, Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve thematic integrated learning process using Discovery Learning model at grade 4 of SD Kartika 1-11 Padang City. This research was classroom action research, consisted of 2 cycles each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection.  Subjects of this research were teachers and 21 grade 4 students in SD kartika 1-11 padang City. Data of this research were obtained from the assessment of lesson plans, and learning processes. Techniques of data collection were document analysis, and observation. Instruments of this research were lesson plan assessment sheet and observation sheet. The results of the study showed that there were an increase in: a) the assessment of lesson plan in cycle I was 84,37% (good) and went up to 93.75% (very good) in cycle II; b) the result of observation of teacher aspect in cycle I was 81.25% (good) and increased to  90,.62% (very good) in cycle II; c) the result of observation of student aspect in cycle I was 81.25% (good) and increased to  90.62% (very good). It can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model can improve thematic integrated learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

Based on the preliminary observation, it was found that student’s achievement on social subjects still low. Therefore, researcher through this study tried to increase students achievement by making Mind Map in learning social subjects of the fourth grade students in SDN 28 Parit Rantang Kecamatan Payakumbuh Barat Kota Payakumbuh. This Mind Map was done seven steps. This study used qualitative and quantitative approad, in form of calssroom action research. This research was done in two cycle. Cycle I was two meetings, and cycle II was one meeting. In cnclusion, learning social subjects by making Mind Map can increase students achievement. Of the fourth grade student in SDN 28 Parit Rantang Kecamatan Payakumbuh Timur Kota Payakumbuh. Kata Kunci : hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran ips dengan pembuatan mind map
