Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of the Pillars of Faith through the assignment method at SD Negeri 100215 Persiapan Mosa Julu. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) approach consisting of two cycles to evaluate the effectiveness of this learning method. The subjects of the study were 35 sixth grade students consisting of 19 female students and 16 male students. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the assignment method. In cycle I, 85.7% of students met the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM) of 70, while in cycle II, 100% of students achieved KKM. The average score increased from 72.9 in cycle I to 82.6 in cycle II. In addition, students actively participated in learning activities, including discussions with peers, which fostered a deeper understanding of the material. The use of additional learning resources such as visual aids and audio materials also contributed to student engagement and retention of the content. This study concluded that the tajwid method was effective in improving students' memorization and understanding of the Pillars of Faith. This method also encourages critical thinking, self-confidence, and active involvement of students in the learning process. Given these findings, it is recommended that the tajwid method be used in other educational settings to enhance students' understanding of religious studies and other subjects that require memorization and understanding

This study aims to determine whether the demonstration method can improve students' prayer worship skills. This study used the Classroom Action Research method with respondents of grade III (three) students of SD Negeri 100560 Nahula, Dolok Sigompulon District, North Padang Lawas Regency, totaling 32 students. This study began in January to June 2022. The results of the study showed that the demonstration method on the material on the practice of obligatory prayers succeeded in improving students' prayer worship skills. It can be said that by using the demonstration method in Islamic Religious Education lessons, prayer skills include prayer movements, prayer readings and a combination of both properly and correctly, and are able to increase students' activeness, enthusiasm and desire to like prayer worship lessons more. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of the achievement of learning outcomes in the practice of prayer worship skills, the initial ability before the action was 67.7, then after the action was carried out in two cycles, there was an increase in cycle I of 72.3 and in cycle II the average achievement of the assessment was 76 with a percentage of completion of 100%. From the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that by using the demonstration method on the subject of prayer movement practice, students' prayer worship skills can be improved. In addition, students are able to improve movements, prayer readings that are considered still less than perfect, and it is easier to understand and remember lessons through direct practice, rather than just theory. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Modeling the Way strategy in improving students' ability, engagement, confidence, and understanding in performing obligatory prayers at SD Negeri 100620 Pasar Simundol. This study was conducted on elementary school students to assess how the teacher's demonstration strategy, combined with students' active participation, influenced learning how to perform the correct prayer. This study used a mixed-method approach, including observation, interviews, documentation, and pre- and post-tests. The results showed that the Modeling the Way strategy significantly improved students' ability to perform physical movements and prayer readings correctly. Students showed increased accuracy in body position and pronunciation of Arabic phrases, especially in key readings such as takbir and Al-Fatiha. In addition to technical skills, this study revealed a marked increase in students' confidence and engagement during the lesson. Many students who were initially hesitant to participate became more willing to demonstrate their skills and take leadership roles in class activities. Furthermore, the strategy fostered a deeper understanding of the spiritual meaning of prayer, with students recognizing it as an act of devotion and connection with God, rather than simply a physical routine. The findings of this study indicate that *Modeling the Way* is an effective teaching strategy for enhancing the technical and spiritual aspects of religious education in elementary schools. The results highlight the importance of interactive, hands-on learning in teaching religious practices and suggest that regular practice, coupled with clear teacher demonstrations, can result in significant improvements in students’ skills and understanding. This study provides valuable insights into the potential of modeling as a tool to enhance religious education and support students’ spiritual growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the demonstration method in improving students' understanding of tayammum material at SDN 0801 Pinarik. The demonstration method was chosen because it allows students to directly observe the steps of tayammum practically, making it easier for them to understand the concept and procedures for its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles. The subjects of the study were fourth grade students who had difficulty understanding tayammum material. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and comprehension tests before and after the implementation of the demonstration method. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' understanding after the implementation of the demonstration method. Before the intervention, many students were still confused about the order and valid requirements for tayammum, but after being given a direct demonstration, they found it easier to understand and remember the steps. In addition, this method also increases student involvement in the learning process. Thus, the demonstration method has proven effective in improving students' understanding of tayammum material and can be used as an alternative learning strategy in elementary schools

Abstract

Early Childhood Education plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and understanding of science, including Islamic Religious Education. The Independent Curriculum implemented in PAUD provides flexibility in learning, allowing adjustments to the needs and characteristics of children. This study aims to analyze the application of learning methods in the Independent Curriculum to improve PAI learning outcomes at RA Al Jabbar. With a qualitative approach, this study used observation, interview, and documentation techniques to collect data. The results of the study showed that the play-while-learning method, the project-based approach, and the integration of Islamic values in daily activities were able to improve children's understanding and interest in learning PAI. The play-while-learning method involves interactive activities such as hijaiyah letter puzzles and Islamic songs. The project-based approach allows children to participate in creative activities such as making miniature mosques and drawing stories of the prophets. Meanwhile, the integration of Islamic values in daily activities helps children internalize religious concepts naturally. Thus, the application of this method can be an effective strategy in building a strong religious foundation from an early age
