Abstract

The study aims to examine the effects of volleyball games on students’ physical fitness. This experimental study included Gandu Volleyball and Mini Volleyball with game-part-game and part-game instructional patterns. Forty students of Karanggandu Elementary School were involved, comprising twenty boys of grade 5 and twenty boys of grade 6. The results of two-way analysis of variance and Tukey tests indicate that Gandu Volleyball is better than Mini Volleyball for students’ physical fitness in the game-part-game instructional pattern, but there is no significant difference between the two in the part-game instructional pattern. There is an effect of interaction between instructional pattern and types of volleyball games on students’ physical fitness.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to know the effectiveness of guidance at Public Primary Schools in Palangka Raya. The subject of the study was 114 teachers of State Primary Schools. The method of study is descriptive study. Data collection used questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed by using percentages. The result concluded that the guiding activity of the teachers of Public Primary school can be categorized as effective.

Abstract

Motivation and Achievement Differences between Students of High-Achiever Group and Those of Non-High-Achiever Group. The purpose of this descriptive, comparative study was to find out the differences in learning motivation and achievement between students belonging to high-achiever group and those to non-high-achiever group. Forty one junior high school students of the former group and 40 of the latter were involved in this study. The data were obtained from a questionnaire and documentation study and analyzed using statistics of percentages and t-test. The results show that there is a significant difference between the two groups in terms of learning motivation and achievement.

Abstract

As an entity, curriculum contains elements having interrelated functions which systemically move toward the achievement of its goals. Therefore, a curriculum should be developed under Structural Theory, which highlights organism principles whereby the achievement of organization goals is dependent on the participation of all the elements. This article presents practical illustrations of how to develop a curriculum utilizing the Structural Theory.

Abstract

Desensitisasi dan psikoanalisis disajikan dalam empat kontras yang menarik untuk dicermati. Pertama, dari sudut historik, desensitisasi berkembang secara naturalistik, sedang psikoanalisis berkembang secara personalistik. Kedua, alur berpikir desensitisasi bersifat induktif, sedang psikoanalisis bersifat deduktif. Ketiga, dalam pandangan mengenai manusia, desensitisasi berpandangan determinisme fisik, elementaristik dan environmentalistik, sedang psikoanalisis berpandangan determinisme psikobiologik, holistik dan konstitusionalistik. Keempat, desensitisasi dan psikoanalisis sama-sama memiliki unsur mudah dan unsur sulit untuk diadaptasikan dengan kebudayaan Indonesia.

Abstract

The Difference of Socialization Capability between Pupils Attending and Pupils Not Attending Extracurricular Activities. This study was designed to investigate the difference in socialization capability between pupils attending and pupils not attending extracurricular activities. There were 70 elementary school pupils selected randomly to be the sample, consisted of 35 pupils attending and 35 pupils not attending extracurricular activities. The data were collected by check lists and interviews, and were then analyzed statistically by t-test. The result revealed that the socialization capability of pupils attending extracurricular activities was better than those not attending extracurricular activities.

Abstract

In the recent years, the practice of Electricity and Electronics is oriented to lecturer based learning. The lecturer oriented learning can make learning process passive. In this context, the researcher tries to carry out an experiment of teaching concept, with bases on life skills. The purpose of the research is to describe the influence of application of teaching model on the basis of life Skills. The model can improve student activity, creativity and competency on Electricity and Electronics subject on July-December 2006 at Automotive Engineering FT UNP. The collected data analysis was analyzed by descriptive analysis. The research was found that teaching model improved student's activity, creativity and competency on Electric and Electronics subject.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasikan dan mendeskripsikan pengelolaan dana masyarakat di perguruan tinggi negeri dalam merencanakan, menggali dana dari masyarakat, strategi pelaksanaannya, penerimaan dan penggunaannya, serta pertanggungjawabannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen di Unibraw dan IKIP Malang. Hasilnya menunjukkan antara lain bahwa pengelolaan dana masyarakat di lembaga pendidikan tinggi tersebut belum sesuai dengan harapan.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate correlation between teacher meeting in teacher supervision organization (KKG) and teachers' teaching competence. It was conducted in public elementary schools in Singosari Malang. The sampel consisted of 48 teachers of 20 public elementary schools taken by cluster proporsional random sampling. The data was collected by questionnaires and observation. The result showed that there was correlation between teachers participation in the meeting and their competence. All activities in the teachers meeting have correlation with teaching competence of teachers.

Abstract

The Implementation of School-Based Management Approach: Profile of Elementary Schools in the Underdeveloped Villages. The purpose of the study were to describe the general conditions of the school system, the input factors existing at the school, the factors or supporting conditions upon the school, the school atmosphere, the implementation of teaching-learning process, and things had been achieved by the school. Questionnaires and observation guides were used to collect the data. The research results showed that the school condition was generally good, most of the students (90%) were disadvantaged, parental or societal participation upon education was low, school autonomy and teacher commitment were low, and the students’ achievement as indicated in the scores of the national examination were not satisfactory.
