Abstract

 Eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pola pembelajaran bermain gedrik terhadap peningkatan keterampilan gerak dasar lokomotor. Eksperimen menggunakan rancangan faktorial 2 x 2. Subjek berjumlah 40 anak, 20 perempuan dan 20 laki-laki. Setiap kelompok terdiri dari 10 anak, 5 perempuan dan 5 laki-laki. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes lari cepat 30 meter, jingkat cepat 15 meter, jingkat tanpa awalan, jingkat dengan awalan, lompat dengan dua kaki tumpu, dan lompat dengan awalan. Analisis dilakukan dengan analisis varian dua jalur dan uji lanjut Newman Keuls. Hasilnya menunjukkan antara lain bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara bermain gedrik saruk dan gedrik gebruk. Gedrik saruk memberikan pengaruh lebih baik daripada gedrik gebruk.

Abstract

Competence Based Curriculum (KBK) came along with the reformation movement which demanded democratization, decentralization, and autonomy. KBK has several characteristics, i.e.: as minimal curriculum of national standard, fun learning atmosphere, classroom based assessment, and school-based curriculum management. Prior to its implementation, schools need to sharpen their vision and mission, analyze the students’ and schools’ ability, develop syllabus, increase teachers’ ability related to learning models, equip themselves with learning facilities, and change the principals’ leadership styles.

Abstract

The expanding environments approach (the EEA) is one of the approaches to organizing elementary social studies curriculum. The approach emphasizes the simple concepts that are intimate to students’ environments and then progress toward the complex concepts pertaining to the students’ remote environments as the students move from the first grade to the sixth grade. It has been employed by many social studies educators since the early years of this century and has dominated the organization of social studies curriculum for several decades in the United States Education. This article highlights the description of the EEA and its application to Indonesian elementary social studies education.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to develop students’ antonomous learning and to equip lecturers with the knowledge of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Using a qualitative, participatory design, this study involved student taking final projects and lecturers supervising the students. PBL was found to be effective in helping students determine topics for projects, examine the practical and theoretical significance of the project, develop project timeline, select relevant methodology, and utilize relevant literature.

Abstract

The Application of Humanistic Theory to Teacher-student Classroom Interaction. Humanistic theory emphasizes equal development of students' cognitive and affective aspects. In a humanistic teaching, students have to study and record the progress they have made by themselves. Although the theory has not yet been implemented in our school setting, it can actually be applied in the interaction between the teacher and students in the classroom. The teacher gives the freedom and responsibility to the students to study and functions as a facilitator, who facilitates the students to freely express their feelings and emotions.

Abstract

This qualitative research was conducted to examine the variety of cultural values among students of D-II PGSD which shaped their conception of academik achievement. The results of interviews and observations suggest that there was no difference in conception of academik achievement among students from different ethnic groups. In addition, students' motivation to succeed went beyond their academik boundaries. These findings imply the need for designing and implementing programs for quality human resource development.

Abstract

Toward Desentralization in Managing Educational Administration. The implementation of Undang-Undang No. 22/1999 on Regional Government, or called Regional Autonomy, and Undang-Undang No. 25/1999 on Finance Balance between the Central and Regional Government has a large number of implications, including to needs for decentralization of educational administration. Some aspects need to be taken into account in implementing decentralization of educational administration: national intentions, social justices, regional needs, implementation efficiencies, and reform capacities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the accountability of an education institution in implementing compulsory education program in this decentralization era. This institution, that is, Education Institution of Bangkalan Regency, was found to have undertaken accountability by endorsing reports on the process and results using standards and criteria established by the government. Schools, however, haven't reported their accountability to this institution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran pandangan siswa dan mahasiswa tentang peranan wanita dalam kegiatan keluarga, kerja, dan kemasyarakatan. Sampel berjumlah 232 orang siswa/mahasiswa dari 6 kelas dari siswa SMTA dan 6 kelas dari PT di Malang yang diambil secara rambang menurut kluster. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket sikap. Dengan analisis deskriptif, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa dan siswa SMTA menyetujui peran ganda wanita. Namun, menurut mereka, peran utama wanita adalah sebagai ibu rumah tangga yang harus bertanggung jawab terhadap pendidikan anak-anaknya. Disarankan agar ada bentuk-bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi gender di kalangan mahasiswa dan siswa SMTA.

Abstract

Teacher has a role not only as an executor but also as a designer of instruction. The purpose of this instructional model is to know how to design an instructional program of physical education with an approach enabling the teacher to be the designer of the instructional program in primary school. The steps for designing the instructional program are: setting the goal of instructional program; the instructional program suited with the phase of students’ growth and development; analyzing and selecting the elements of motor ability; selecting the elements of physical ability; analyzing the effect of the motor ability elements; and designing the instruction in the form of game or circuit.
