Abstract

Kapabilitas belajar pemecahan masalah diakui sebagai kapabilitas paling penting sebagai hasil belajar ranah keterampilan intelektual dan keterampilan berpikir. Hierarki keterampilan intelektual dari yang sederhana ke yang kompleks meliputi diskriminasi, konsep konkret, konsep definisi dan kaidah, kaidah yang lebih tinggi, dan memecahkan masalah. Proses pemecahan masalah terdiri dari memahami masalah, menyusun rencana, melaksanakan rencana, dan melihat kembali solusi. Strategi pemecahan masalah dapat berupa driven by schema atau search based strategies. Pemula dapat menggunakan kedua strategi yaitu schema-driven dan search-based, sedangkan ahli lebih mengutamakan strategi schema-driven sehingga lebih efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Improvement of Skills in Classroom Management for the New Mathematics Teacher in the Junior High School. This study was an effort to improve teacher's skill in classroom management. It was a two-cycle classroom action research involving the new mathematics teacher at the SLTP I Jember. Using a descriptive qualitative analysis on the results of observation and interview, it could be concluded that the new mathematics teacher's skill in creating, keeping and recovering the optimum learning condition seemed to be improved. The result suggests that this classroom action research can be used as supervision model by the school principal. When a trouble cannot be solved by the teacher, he needs to cooperate with another teacher, counselor, school principal, and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

Abstract

Abstract: The Solution to the Santri’ Problem through Peer Helping Indigenius. The complexity of the problems faced by santri is a social reality that can not be circumvented. The problems are not only related to the learning aspect, but also personal and social aspect. This article offers a peer helper models based on local wisdom that are effective enough to solve the problem faced by santri at pondok pesantren. The concept of peer helper was constructed through an approach that compiles helping indigenous cultural components of local discourse and the social ecological theories that embodies field theory subculture and culture as a macro and suprasystems in the process of formation of human behavior and psychological development.Keywords: santri problem, peer helping indidgenius, pondok pesantrenAbstrak: Penyelesaian Permasalahan Santri melalui Peer Helping Indigenius. Kompleksitas permasalahan santri merupakan suatu keniscayaan yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi santri tidak hanya aspek pembelajaran saja tetapi juga aspek pribadi sosial. Konsep ini menawarkan model penolong sebaya berbasis kearifan lokal pesantren yang efektif mampu memecahkan dan menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi santri di pondok pesantren. Konsep penolong sebaya ini dibangun melalui pendekatan helping indigenous yang mengkompilasikan komponen budaya setempat dengan wacana teori ekologi sosial dan teori medan yang mewadahi subkultur dan kultur sebagai makro dan suprasistem dalam proses pembentukan perilaku dan perkembangan psikologis manusia.Kata kunci: permasalahan santri, peer helping indidgenius, santri, pondok pesantren

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keefektifan organisasi unit-unit kerja di IKIP Malang. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket dalam bentuk skala penilaian. Populasi penelitian adalah semua pimpinan unit kerja mulai dari Kepala Biro sampai dengan Kepala Bagian yang berjumlah 61 orang dan semuanya dijadikan responden penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan statistik persentase untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang tingkat keefektifan organisasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keefektifan organisasi unit-unit kerja BAU, BAAK, LPM, Puslit, UPPL, Perpustakaan, dan fakultas-fakultas di lingkungan IKIP Malang berkualifikasi efektif.

Abstract

This expost-facto study aimed at finding the correlation between the level of teachers’ professional ability with their perception of their main duty and work load. These teachers attended Special Education of S1 program in UNM Makasar. Data were taken from 58 teachers who were selected by using proportional random sampling and were analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. It was found that most of the teachers already had sufficient professional ability and there was significant correlation between perception toward the learning facilitators’ main duty and work load with the teachers’ professional ability.

Abstract

The Characteristics and the Implementation of Local Content Curriculum in Relation to the Development of Society’s Needs. The Study aimed to describe the characteristics and the implementation of local content curriculum in relation to the society’s needs. Qualitative research design was employed with documents, teachers, and informal leaders as sources of research data. The data were collected by means of observation, interview, and documentation techniques and were then analyzed by reduction, display, and verification, which was done throughout the study. The results showed that the local content curriculum was not optimally implemented yet and that there was a gap between local content curriculum and the needs of the local society.

Abstract

The informal education has not yet been developed as much as the formal and non formal education. This education plays an important role in developing children’s and youths personalities. Most of the time spent in their life is in informal education, especially through television program, daily life relationship and communication in the community and their family life. Cooperation between the Educational Department and other institutions related to television programs, communities and families is urgently needed. In the autonomy system, these three kinds of educations should be handled by Dinas Pendidikan, Dewan Pendidikan, and the board of mass education in kabupaten/kota. So, these kinds of education can equally be developed. On the lowest level, the informal education must be managed by Komite Sekolah which collaborates with other community organizations.

Abstract

The Effect of Learning Strategies on Students' Groundstrokes Skills at Playing Tennis. The study aimed to investigate the effect of learning strategies on students' groundstrokes skills at playing tennis. Randomized group design was employed to select the 32 students among 100 students of Physical Education Department, Faculty of Education IKIP Malang. Hypotheses were tested using Anova. The findings suggest that the effect of varied learning strategies on students' groundstrokes skills was significantly different from that of conventional ones.

This article presents a critical analysis of the Indonesian Education system facing this global and free-trade era. It suggests that the education system focus on educational programs resulting in individuals who can actively take part in the world.

Abstract

The Psychosocial Dynamics of Adolescent in Learning: An Analysis to the Psychosocial Problems of Senior High School (SMU) Students. This study analyse the psychosocial problems of SMU students in learning. The sample consisted of students and teachers of public and private SMUs in Malang. A questionnaire was used to collect data, which were then analyzed qualitatively. It could be concluded that the adolescents were facing serious problems relating to need for affiliation, self actualization, gender role, and continuing education. The public school students were experiencing more serious problems in competition, need for achievement, and social adjustment. The serious problems faced by private students were motivation and concentration, discipline, resposibility, self-confidence, and perception on reality.
