Abstract

The aim of this research is to measure the extent to which confiscation of cellphones during teaching and learning (KBM) affects the teaching and learning process at MAN 1 Jember. This research uses a quantitative approach with a comparative causal research type and collects data through questionnaires designed for subject teachers and homeroom teachers. The results of this correlation analysis show that there is a strong and significant relationship between the cellphone confiscation policy variable and the KBM orderly variable. These findings provide empirical evidence that the instruments used are valid and reliable in measuring the constructs studied. Based on the results of the t test, the calculated t value for the Orderly Learning Process variable is 7.714, with a significance value (Sig.) of less than 0.05, it can be concluded that the cellphone confiscation policy variable has a positive and significant influence on the creation of the teaching and learning process. This means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be stated that the cellphone confiscation policy has an influence in creating an orderly KBM process.

Abstract

Pelak or garden is land owned by the community for planting various kinds of plants which is located not far from the house. Pelak has the potential as a real learning medium. This research aims to find out the types of plants found in Pelak and the potential of Pelak as a science learning medium, especially plant diversity material at SMPN 5 Kerinci. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews and observations. The resource person for this research is the owner of Pelak and the 7th grade science teacher. Based on the research results, it is known that in Pelak around SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci there are a variety of plants consisting of 9 types of plants. Five of them fall into the monocot group and 4 dicots. Of the several types of plants, the most numerous are the zingiberaceae group. The potential of acting as a learning medium can be seen from the diversity of plants, the close distance to schools, the shady and comfortable atmosphere, the security in the surrounding area which is maintained because it is close to residential areas, the existence of internet access which can support students in obtaining learning information online and The surrounding environment provides opportunities for students to learn directly from real objects.

Abstract

The Qur'an contains complete and perfect teachings and laws which cover all aspects needed in human life, especially Muslims. The Al-Quran is the foundation for all knowledge because the Al-Quran explains aqeedah and strengthens a Muslim's faith. A child who studies and understands the Qur'an is expected to have noble morals and be filial to his parents. It is a shame that interest in reading, especially reading the Quran, among some aged children decreases after elementary school. Generally, children stop learning the Quran at TPA after they finish elementary school. They actually spend their time after coming home playing games, the internet, watching, without proper time control so that children are more engrossed in playing with their electronic devices than learning to read the Quran. This research is a type of qualitative research, which is classified as case research. The data obtained came from correspondents, namely children and teenagers as well as parents from the Pasar Senen Village community. This research data was collected using observation and interview techniques. Based on the research results, it is known that the decline in interest in learning the Al-Qurán for children after graduating from elementary school in Pasar Senen Village, Kerinci Regency is caused by several factors, namely: (a) children's factors (laziness, pride, the burden of schoolwork, feeling they can do it) (b) environmental factors (television programs or other electronic media, parental factors and learning factors. As a follow-up to these problems, parents and recitation teachers should provide motivation and instill awareness from an early age in children, that learning the Quran is an obligation that must be carried out by Muslims which is useful for the world and the hereafter. It is necessary to control and manage time for children.

Abstract

The number of students who experience difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts is due to monotonous teaching methods that cause indifference and lack of motivation for students to learn in learning. This research aims to enable teachers to utilize technology as an interactive learning medium to increase students' learning motivation in understanding mathematical concepts by presenting the concept of educational games. The educational game media used is based on discovery learning, which means that with discovey learning, students will be encouraged to discover mathematical concepts and explore new knowledge through exploration. The research subjects used were grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 40 Palembang. The research method used is Research and Development research with development studies, whose stages are adjusted to the tessmer development model. Based on the results of the research in the field test stage trial, with the data collection techniques being learning motivation questionnaires, student response questionnaires and interviews, it was stated that discovery learning-based educational game media had a positive influence on increasing students' learning motivation. This is evidenced by the enthusiasm of students in participating in learning, they compete to achieve the highest score and be the fastest to solve the challenge in the educational game and also based on the results of data analysis which shows that the average score of the student learning motivation questionnaire increased to 82.76% with a high category after using the media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of engklek ethnomathematics on mathematical problem-solving abilities in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 6 Jambi City. This research is a quantitative study with a True experimental design, namely the Posttest-only control design. Class VII population of as many as 113 people. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The sample size was drawn using two samples, namely the control group and the experimental group with a research sample of each group totaling 20 students. The data collection technique uses a description test totaling 5 questions. Data analysis in this study used t-test data analysis. From the results of the t-test calculation, it is obtained that t_0 is greater than t_table at a significance level of 5% or 1%, for a party test a significant level is 5% = 4,711 > 2.03 and a party test a significant level is 1% = 4,711 > 2.03. From the calculation results, the researchers found that the application of crank ethnomathematics had an effect on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities at MTs N 6 Jambi City. The results of this study suggest teachers be able to apply culture-based learning media in mathematics lessons.
