Abstract

This research is based on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students which are still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Preliminary studies show that the cause of the low results in learning mathematics for students is the less optimal learning that has been designed by the teacher and the use of learning media in the class that is less interesting and varied so that during the learning process students are less active and have difficulty understanding the subject matter. From these problems, the researcher choose snakes and ladders media as an effort to improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through snakes and ladders media. The research method used Collaborative Classroom Action Research (PTK) which refers to plans, actions, observations, and reflections which were carried out in 2 cycles of learning for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Temon. The results of the study show that the use of snakes and ladders game media can improve student learning outcomes. The increase in the success of students' scores in the pre-cycle by 23.0% increased to 46.1% in cycle I and 76.9% in cycle II, it means that there was an increase in the learning process, so it was concluded that snakes and ladders media was able to improve student learning outcomes in class IV in SD Negeri 1 Temon.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to validate the Well-Being (WB) measurement instrument using confirmatory factor analysis. Instrument validation aims to ensure that the items are able to accurately reflect the WB to be measured. The instrument used in this study is an instrument developed by Riff, with a total of 42 questions covering 6 aspects of WB. A quantitative descriptive approach was used in this study, involving 284 PGSD STKIP PGRI Pacitan students as respondents. Instrument validity was evaluated using confirmatory factor analysis. Three types of validity were calculated, namely construct, convergent, and discriminant validity. The results of the analysis show that construct validity is met with an RMSEA value of 0.78 and a GFI of 0.908, by issuing 18 questions because it has a low factor loading. Furthermore, convergent validity shows that two aspects, namely Positive Relations and Environmental Mastery, have an AVE value of less than 0.5. Finally, discriminant validity is met with no indication of multicollinearity in the questions used. From these results it can be concluded that the WB instrument that can be used consists of 24 questions, with each aspect consisting of 4 items.

Abstract

Qualitative descriptive research by collecting data on the lyrics of the song "Raiso Dadi Siji". This song tells the story of a man who is married and has a wife, but still loves his affair very much. Data was collected through listening approaches and note-taking techniques involving song lyric text and performance videos of songs sung by Kevin Ihza and Niken Salindri. The study will be conducted in May 2023. The results of the study are as follows: in the lyrics of this song, there are two code-switching events that occur due to the influence of Javanese, as well as two code-mixing events that insert words in Javanese into the song lyrics. Kevin Ihza, in his lyrical section, contains nine elements that reflect code mixing and five elements that indicate code switching. Code switching is a phenomenon in which a person switches from the use of one language to another in communication, often occurring between different language clauses or phrases. Understanding and analyzing code mixing and code switching, we can sense the diversity of languages and cultures around us and use them to develop more inclusive approaches in communication and education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the type of student error using Newman's Error Analysis based on the type of cognitive style of students in solving set problems. This type of qualitative research uses test research instruments, questionnaires and interviews. The subjects of the study were 12 students from grade VII SMPN 03 Sengah Temila. Based on their cognitive style, research subjects are categorized into 2, namely Field Dependent (FD) and Field Independent (FI). The results showed that students with the FI cognitive style tended to make processing errors and encoding errors. Students with FD cognitive style tend to commit transformation errors and encoding errors. Students with FD cognitive style tend to commit transformation errors, processing errors, and encoding errors. Students should be given story problems that vary in problem types more often so that students get used to changing story problems into appropriate mathematical models to minimize transformation errors. To reduce process errors, students are given various story problems in the form of real cases that can be translated into diagrams, teachers demonstrate directly how to draw diagrams according to story problems, and teachers provide repeated exercises ranging from simple examples to complex examples. Students must test the final answer they have written into the story problem through a mathematical model that has been prepared at the transformation stage to reduce errors in writing the final answer.
