Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of market retribution in Bangkir Village, Dampal Selatan Subdistrict, Toli-Toli Regency. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of study. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Both primary and secondary data sources were utilized. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, involving nine individuals considered to have adequate knowledge and understanding of the issues being investigated. The theoretical framework is based on George R. Terry’s management theory, which emphasizes four key aspects: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The findings indicate that the management of market retribution in Bangkir Village has not been fully effective. Contributing factors include inconsistent trader data, underutilized market infrastructure, and a lack of socialization or outreach regarding retribution policies, all of which have led to low awareness and compliance among traders.

Abstract

Tourism plays a strategic role in driving national economic growth, making planning and management of tourist attractions crucial. The main problem in this study is the suboptimal management of the Pasir Putih Beach tourist attraction in Lenju Village, characterized by a lack of attention to cleanliness, inadequate facilities, damaged rides, low visitor numbers, and poorly supervised tourist activities. This study aims to determine and understand the management process of the tourist attraction. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive-qualitative type through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the management of the Pasir Putih Beach tourist attraction is not running optimally. In the planning aspect, the manager has a development plan, but its implementation is still hampered by land status issues and budget constraints, so it has not been realized optimally. In the organizational aspect, there has been a division of tasks and involvement of various parties in tourism management, so this aspect can be said to have run quite well. In the implementation aspect, management and service activities have not been carried out consistently, which has an impact on the condition of facilities and decreased visitor comfort. Meanwhile, in terms of oversight, monitoring activities have not been optimal due to lack of routine implementation and limited resources, as evidenced by persistent issues with cleanliness, facilities, and activities in tourist areas. Therefore, management needs to improve the implementation of planned programs, strengthen coordination and clarity of tasks between parties, implement management activities routinely and consistently, and enhance ongoing oversight to ensure more effective management of tourist attractions and improve service quality and the number of tourist visits.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Management of Waste Collection fees in lolu Utara Urban Village, Palu City. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method using management theory which consists of aspects of Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling. The basis of this research is to use basic qualitative methods, the types of data are primary and secondary data. The data collection technique used research informants totaling 6 informants consisting of heads of divisions, waste levy officers and mandatory levies. Data and material collection was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, the management of waste collection fees in Lolu Utara Village, Palu City, is still not optimal. This is evident from the realization of waste collection fee revenues, which has not been able to achieve the predetermined targets, as well as the fact that revenue growth has not shown significant improvement from year to year. These conditions indicate that there are still various obstacles in the process of collecting and managing waste collection fees, particularly in the aspects of planning, implementation, and supervision. Therefore, improvements and optimization of waste collection fee management are needed to ensure that the existing revenue potential can be utilized more effectively, thereby making a greater contribution to increasing the Local Own-Source Revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah/PAD) of Palu City.
