Abstract

Education regarding earthquake disaster mitigation has a very vital role in daily life, especially in Indonesia which often experiences earthquake phenomena as part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Earthquake preparedness and risk reduction is not only the responsibility of the government, but also the responsibility of the community. Education on safe behavior during an earthquake and active participation in emergency response plans can play a role in reducing the impact of disasters. Therefore, Community Service (PKM) activities need to be carried out with the aim of, among other things, providing education and increasing awareness of the school community regarding earthquake facts. This is expected to increase awareness about disaster risks and how to deal with them. Training, equipping school principals, as well as carrying out earthquake disaster simulations and evaluating these activities are concrete steps in achieving this goal. The conclusion of the Community Service activities related to the theme of earthquake disaster mitigation education for school principals is an effort to increase public awareness of the risks and procedures for dealing with earthquake disasters.

Abstract

Biopores is a technique for water infiltration (water absorption) in surface areas of the land to restore soil fertility, protect the water system and reduce waterlogging/surface runoff in areas that lack water absorption. One of the organic wastes that can be filled into the biopore holes is coffee grounds. Coffee grounds are the coffee residue left after the brewing process or grinding the coffee beans. Often coffee grounds are considered useless waste and are simply thrown away. Through this International Community Service (PKM) activity, it is hoped that compost can be produced in the soil so that it can improve the quality of the soil (fertilize the soil). Apart from that, it can absorb surface water into the ground and reduce surface waterlogging. The biopore method was first discovered in 2008 by Dr. Kamir R Brata, a researcher from IPB (Bogor Agricultural Institute). Biopores are absorption holes made vertically into the ground to reduce waterlogging and increase water absorption. The conclusions that can be concluded from this Community Service activity are as follows: This activity has produced compost in the soil so that it can improve the quality of the soil. This activity has also succeeded in making water infiltration into the soil very well which can reduce standing water on the surface of the soil.

Abstract

The current development of information and communication technology presents promising opportunities for the development of various aspects of life, especially for teenagers and high school students. However, it also poses serious challenges in preserving and safeguarding the moral values of the younger generation. In this context, school principals play a crucial role in implementing activities that support a positive direction. One such approach is to build character and high integrity towards noble moral values. A step that can be taken is by creating extracurricular activities that utilize technology and craftsmanship to produce products beneficial for daily life, such as the craft of Kasap embroidery in Central Aceh. Activities involving lecturers, students, and stakeholders, such as the International Community Service Program (PKM), aim to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness, especially regarding the roles of academics and school principals in the digital era. The evaluation of the Community Service Program (PKM) activities indicates a positive impact and active participation from the community, contributing to problem-solving and community development. This International Community Service Program makes a tangible contribution to addressing issues related to the morals and ethics of the younger generation, creating a safer digital environment, and aligning with the principles of truth and justice.

Abstract

The P5 Program, or Pancasila student profile Strengthening Project, and the PPRA program, or Rahmatan Lil Alamin student profile, are new innovations in the education curriculum that aim to improve the character and abilities of students as a whole. P5 centers on six dimensions: faith, global diversity, mutual aid, self-reliance, critical thinking, and creativity. Instead, the PPRA emphasizes moderate religious principles such as justice, tolerance, civility, and citizenship. Both of these programs aim to cultivate students ' personalities as Indonesian citizens and people around the world. The method of implementation of these two programs involves international PKM activities with the theme "the Role of Academia and Headmaster to Enhance Overall Educational Quality in the Digital Era."This activity involves collaboration with 33 campuses in Indonesia, Universiti Utara Malaya, Monash University Australia, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Central Aceh Regency, and the branch of the Regional Education Office of Central Aceh Regency. The stages of activities include licensing, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. The delivery of the material "P5 is not a product" to the principals of various educational institutions is one of the results of international PKM activities. In addition to providing guidance to principals, this presentation aims to build students ' character through values such as character education, example, tolerance, and communication. To ensure the achievement of the objectives of the PKM, the positive impact on society, and the sustainability of activities after the PKM ends, a thorough evaluation is carried out.
