Abstract

In the era of globalization, the education system is faced with the challenge of preparing learners not only to meet the needs of the job market but also to preserve local cultural identity. Locally based wisdom learning is an approach that integrates local values and knowledge into the content and learning process. This research utilizes a qualitative approach to describe the strategies for implementing locally based wisdom learning. The results of the research indicate that this approach can be applied through various strategies, such as project-based learning, discovery learning, and the integration of local wisdom values into the learning content. Locally based wisdom learning has several advantages, including helping students understand academic concepts by relating them to the local cultural context, instilling local cultural values, and encouraging students to appreciate and preserve local culture. Thus, this approach offers an effective solution to the challenges of globalization while maintaining cultural diversity.

Abstract

Character education is an important issue in an effort to rebuild the character of the Indonesian nation that is experiencing moral degradation. This paper aims to examine the active role of the community in the implementation of character education as the foundation of nation development. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various reference sources related to character education. The results showed that the community has an important role in the implementation of character education, not only through the role of government and schools. The community can play an active role through habituation in daily life, community activities, and non-formal education. It is expected that with the active role of the community, a strong national character can be formed as the foundation of Indonesia's development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how practical accounting training can optimize the financial reporting of non-profit organizations. Many non-profit organizations face challenges in preparing accurate and transparent financial reports, which can hinder operational effectiveness and donor trust. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach on several non-profit organizations in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of financial reports before and after practical accounting training. The results show that practical accounting training significantly improves staff understanding and skills in preparing financial reports. Additionally, this training positively impacts the financial transparency and accountability of organizations, thereby increasing donor and stakeholder trust. The study concludes that practical accounting training is an effective tool for optimizing the financial reporting of non-profit organizations and recommends the widespread implementation of similar training programs to enhance the professionalism and sustainability of non-profit organizations.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman dalam penyusunan laporan keuangan BUMG (Badan Usaha Milik Gampong) berbasis computer dan SAK ETAP Di Gampong Punge Blang Cut Kecamatan Jaya Baru Kota Banda Aceh,, sehingga BUMG yang ada mampu mengelola keuangan  dan menyusun laporan keuangan sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan di gedung BUMG yang juga sebagai gedung serba guna Gampong Punge Blang Cut Kecamatan Jaya Baru   Kota Banda Aceh, yang dihadiri oleh Keuchik, perangkat gampong dan pengelola BUMG Gampong Punge Blang Cut Kecamatan Jaya Baru   Kota Banda Aceh. Metode Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan memberikan materi kepada peserta yang hadir, yaitu dengan memberi arahan dan penjelasan sehingga akan melahirkan laporan keuangan yang sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) technology has become one of the innovative solutions that offers immersive and interactive learning experiences, but its implementation still faces various challenges. This research aims to examine the development, implementation and impact of using VR in learning based on an analysis of 28 scientific articles published in national journals during the 2020–2024 period. This research uses a systematic literature review method by analyzing articles related to VR applications in learning at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. The articles analyzed include the development of VR-based content, the implementation of VR media, as well as evaluating its impact on the quality of learning. The research results show that VR has been successfully applied in various fields of study, from science, history, to practical simulations such as the Hajj and microteaching. VR technology is proven to increase motivation, concept understanding, student engagement, and learning outcomes. However, VR implementation also faces challenges such as high costs, special training requirements, and limited technological infrastructure. Thus, these findings confirm the potential of VR technology as a significant learning innovation in improving the quality of education, although strategies are needed to overcome barriers to its implementation.

Abstract

Dalam upaya mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) pada tahun 2030, pendidik memegang peran penting dalam membentuk pemahaman dan tindakan siswa terhadap keberlanjutan global. Namun, terdapat kesenjangan yang cukup signifikan dalam penerapan SDGs melalui komunikasi di kelas, yang mengakibatkan tantangan dalam penyampaian konsep-konsep tersebut kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali bagaimana strategi komunikasi pendidik mempengaruhi implementasi SDGs di kelas dan mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam proses tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini mengkaji pengalaman 30 pendidik dari berbagai institusi pendidikan melalui wawancara dan observasi kelas. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sebagian besar pendidik menyadari pentingnya SDGs, mereka menghadapi hambatan signifikan, termasuk keterbatasan sumber daya, kurangnya pelatihan, dan kesulitan siswa dalam menghubungkan isu global dengan konteks lokal mereka. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi pendidik dan penyediaan pelatihan yang lebih spesifik sangat penting untuk integrasi SDGs yang lebih efektif dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap wacana yang sedang berkembang tentang peran pendidikan dalam mencapai SDGs dan menawarkan rekomendasi praktis untuk pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan.

Abstract

Water purification is a critical issue globally, particularly in regions with limited access to clean drinking water. Natural water filtration systems, using low-cost, locally available materials, offer a sustainable solution for improving water quality. This study explores the effectiveness of natural filtration methods, focusing on sand, gravel, and activated charcoal, as part of a hands-on workshop aimed at enhancing community knowledge and practical skills in water purification. The research aimed to assess the improvement in water quality, including turbidity, bacterial contamination, and pH levels, after the filtration process. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining water quality testing before and after filtration with participant surveys to evaluate the impact of the workshop on water quality and participants' knowledge. Results indicated significant improvements in water quality, with turbidity reduced by 80% and bacterial contamination decreased by 83%. The workshop also enhanced participants' understanding of water filtration, with 90% reporting increased confidence in replicating the techniques. The study highlights the potential of community-based education programs in promoting sustainable water purification practices and empowering individuals to address local water quality challenges

Abstract

Pendidikan tentang epilepsi di sekolah sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan inklusif dan meningkatkan pemahaman tentang kondisi neurologis ini di kalangan siswa, guru, dan staf sekolah. Penelitian ini mengkaji tingkat kesadaran dan pemahaman tentang epilepsi serta dampak pendidikan epilepsi dalam menciptakan budaya sekolah yang mendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum adanya pelatihan, banyak pendidik yang belum memahami epilepsi sehingga memicu kesalahpahaman dan stigma terhadap siswa penderita epilepsi. Usai sesi edukasi, guru menunjukkan respon yang lebih baik, membantu mengurangi sikap diskriminatif dan memberikan dukungan kepada siswa ketika mengalami penyerangan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan pendidikan epilepsi terstruktur di sekolah untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih aman, inklusif, dan mendukung bagi siswa penderita epilepsi

Abstract

Islamic law plays a significant role in promoting inclusive and quality education, which is essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Through its principles, Islamic law ensures the right of every individual to receive fair and equitable education while encouraging the participation of all societal groups, particularly marginalized communities. This research examines various approaches taken by Muslim-majority countries in implementing Islamic law within their educational systems. By integrating Islamic ethical and moral values, education can enhance the quality of learning and shape student character. The findings indicate that the application of Islamic law in education not only improves access and equity but also contributes to achieving quality education goals aligned with the SDGs.
