Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the project-based learning (learning PjBL) model to the basic movement skills of step patterns in elementary schools. The method used was quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test  .  control group design Students from grade IV at Public Elementary Schools Duri Kosambi 07 Jakarta were divided into two groups: the experimental group (PjBL) and the control group using conventional learning. The test results statistical (Sig. 0.000 <0.05) showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results in in both groups, indicating that the PjBL model is effective improving students’ basic movement skills.  additionIn, the N-Gain test results showed that the experimental group was . better than the control groupThis study found that the PjBL model encourages students to participate actively, creatively, and collaboratively in improving the basic movement skills of pencak silat step patterns more effectively than conventional methods. Therefore, PjBL can be used as an alternative to innovative physical learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of training modification using cat-mouse games in improving ball control skills in elementary school futsal extracurricular participants in Sumedang Regency. Ball control is an important basic technique in futsal, but many players still have difficulty mastering it. Therefore, a more interactive and effective training method is needed. This study used an experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design. The research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group that received training using cat-mouse games and the control group that underwent conventional training. Data were collected through passing-controlling tests before and after treatment, then analyzed using statistical tests, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, independent t-tests, and N-Gain tests. The results showed that there was a significant increase in ball control skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. The N-Gain test analysis showed that the experimental group obtained an average score of 0.8091 (high category), while the control group only obtained an average score of 0.3033 (low category). The results of this study indicate that the cat-mouse game is one of the effective training methods in improving ball control skills in futsal games. The conclusion of this study is that the cat-mouse game can be used as an alternative interesting and effective training method in improving ball control skills in beginner futsal players. The results of this study contribute to the development of sports learning strategies, especially in the context of futsal games at elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences in learning concentration levels between students who participate in wushu sanda extracurricular sports and those who do not. The research method used is ex post facto with a causal design. The study was conducted at Sasana Bandung Fighter Academy (BFA) with a population of middle school students actively participating in BFA activities. The sampling technique used was total sampling, with 10 students as the research sample. The instrument for measuring concentration was the Grid Concentration Exercise. The results showed a significant difference in learning concentration levels between students who participated in extracurricular sports and those who did not, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in students’ academic achievement, with a significance value of 0.137 (>0.05). Overall, multivariate analysis indicated that students participating in extracurricular sports had better concentration levels than those who did not. Therefore, extracurricular sports play an important role in improving students’ learning concentration.

Abstract

Sports injury in adolescent athletes is an important issue that can impact their physical and mental development and future performance. This study analyzed research trends related to injury in adolescent athletes using bibliometric methods based on publications in the Scopus database during the period 2018-2025. The analysis showed that the number of publications has increased significantly since 2018, with a peak in 2024. The United States, the United Kingdom and Australia are the countries with the largest contributions to this research, as well as building extensive international collaborations. Keyword mapping revealed that factors such as age, injury history, body mass index (BMI) and training intensity play a role in increasing injury. Additionally, the study identified research challenges, including language bias and publication selectivity, indicating the need for further exploration with a more diverse range of literature sources. The findings provide insight into sports injury research trends and may guide future studies to increase awareness and injury prevention efforts in adolescent athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between physical activity patterns and mood changes in adolescents using an objective measurement approach. This cross-sectional study involved 50 adolescent participants. Physical activity was measured using the ActiGraph GT3X accelerometer, while mood changes were assessed using the Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS). Data were analyzed using Spearman’s correlation test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Findings indicate that participants spent most of their time engaged in sedentary behavior (M = 1194.42 minutes/day, SD = 42.543), while moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) levels were relatively low (M = 47.06 minutes/day, SD = 17.873). Negative mood states were more dominant than positive ones, with the highest scores recorded for tension (M = 65.22, SD = 12.255) and anger (M = 63.06, SD = 10.033). Correlation analysis revealed no significant relationship between total MVPA and mood (r = -0.021, p = 0.886). However, sedentary behavior showed a significant negative correlation with moderate physical activity (r = -0.626, p < 0.01) and total MVPA (r = -0.635, p < 0.01), indicating that higher sedentary time was associated with lower levels of physical activity in adolescents. This study found no significant relationship between physical activity and mood changes in adolescents. The low levels of MVPA and high sedentary behavior may contribute to the dominance of negative mood states. Further longitudinal studies are needed to explore other factors that may influence adolescent emotional well-being.
