Abstract

Le roman L’Anomalie raconte un phénomène appelé anomalie, où un avion sur la route Paris-New York apparaît mystérieusement deux fois, avec des passagers identiques. Ce phénomène oblige les personnages à faire face à leur double et à questionner leur identité et la réalité qu’ils confrontent. Le but de cette étude est de décrire comment le sens du roman est perçu à travers la déconstruction. Le type de recherche est une étude qualitative, utilisant le roman L’Anomalie d'Hervé Le Tellier comme l’objet matériel et objet formel de la déconstruction du sens de Jacques Derrida. Les résultats de cette recherche montrent qu'il existe des formes de déconstruction du sens dans le roman, illustrées par le changement des sens précédents : le sens de la création n'appartient pas seulement à Dieu, la religion devient une source de conflit, l'homme peut se sauver lui-même, la souffrance n'est pas une punition de Dieu, et l'existence humaine est une illusion. L'application de la déconstruction à la lecture du roman change le sens général du roman. L’Anomalie ne peut pas être simplifié à un seul sens, car son interprétation varie selon le point de vue. Ainsi, cette étude conclut que l'application de la déconstruction au roman place le sens dans le retard et ouvre également à de nouvelles interprétations et la possibilité “les autres”.

Abstract

This study examines the French language usage in the drama The Romancers and its relevance for Second Language Acquisition. The study focused on the drama text, which contains a number of French phrases, for English teaching sophomores. This study analyzes The Romancers through French descriptive analysis, paying attention to the French Sociolinguistics corpus, cultural elements, and thematic concerns that give texture to French in the play. Using qualitative approaches, this research studies important conversations and relationships of the characters, concentrating on French idioms, slang, and other formal and decorative forms of language characteristic of French. This study offers new insights into how texts from SLA offer rich resources for SLA through real language practices within culture and context for increased proficiency in SLA. Through the integration of literary study bolstered by effective approaches to language teaching, this study elevates the importance of teaching English through literary texts. Scaffolded instruction provides rich resources through which learners can appreciate the language and the culture, resulting in increased motivation towards understanding the language, leading to a strengthened SLA process. This study adds important perspectives to the discussion of how literature can provide scholarly texts in the context of teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of presupposition in 13 French-language food and beverage advertisements on YouTube, as well as analyze the most dominant type of presupposition using George Yule's theory. The data collection technique uses listening and note-taking techniques, while the methods and analysis techniques used are pragmatic parsing method with the technique of sorting out the determining elements (PUP) and the advanced technique of Hinge Banding Differentiating (HBB) and mark reading technique. The result of the analysis shows that there are 41 utterances in the advertisements that contain presupposition. There are four types of presupposition found, namely existential (27 data), lexical (8 data), factive (4 data), and structural (2 data). The most dominant type of presupposition is existential because it is used to convey the existence of entities such as brands, products, ingredients, or benefits, thus building trust and positive perceptions of product quality.

Abstract

La ronde et autres faits divers is collection of short stories explores the hars reality faced by marginalized potrayed by J.M.G. Le Clézio. This research will examine how the marginalized are represented and how the relation between characters is displayed through the narratives.  This research uses a qualitative approach with a sociology perspective. The materials objects are three short stories titled Voleur O Voleur, Ariane, and Moloch with a formal object of its narrative structures. Data collection was carried out by documenting words, phrases, dialogues depicting the relation between hero(ine)s with other characters, then analyzing them using content analysis techniques adapted to the concept of genetic structuralism. The results of this research shows that modernization has many negative impacts on French society, such as demoralization, individualism, and environmental destruction. Le Clézio presents his worldview through his writing in which he describes the injustice and alineation experienced by hero(ine) who are trapped in modern society. The author employs realism to convey criticism and reveal the true reality, where the author feels pessimistic over the impacts of the modernization. Through its ambivalence, Le Clézio shows that no matter how hard individuals try to escape the shackles of modernization, they will still be part of the process itself.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus apda wacana kebijakan keberlanjutan dalam dokumen kebijakan Indonesia dan Prancis. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada RPJMN 2020–2024, UU No. 16 Tahun 2016, PP No. 46 Tahun 2017, serta Code de l’environnement Prancis sebagai representasi dua model tata kelola lingkungan yang berbeda secara ideologis dan institusional. Melalui Analisis Framing (Entman, 1993), Analisis Wacana Kritis (Leeuwen, 2008) penelitian ini menelusuri bagaimana narasi kebijakan keberlanjutan dibingkai, dimaknai, dan dikaitkan dengan praktik diplomasi lingkungan global. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumen dan eksplorasi daring, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik menggunakan NVivo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia membingkai keberlanjutan dalam kerangka teknokratis-top–down, dengan penekanan pada pembangunan rendah karbon, integrasi indikator lingkungan dalam perencanaan nasional, dan penguatan tata kelola data. Sebaliknya, Prancis menonjolkan pendekatan berbasis hak dan partisipasi publik, menegaskan lingkungan hidup sebagai kebebasan fundamental yang dijamin undang-undang. Kedua model kebijakan tersebut memperlihatkan sinergi konseptual antara efektivitas instrumen kebijakan dan legitimasi normatif, yang bersama-sama memperkuat arsitektur diplomasi hijau dalam kerangka SDG 13 (Aksi Iklim) dan SDG 17 (Kemitraan Global). Penelitian ini berkontribusi secara teoretis dalam pengembangan model framing lintas-level antara kebijakan nasional dan internasional, sekaligus menawarkan perspektif kritis terhadap diplomasi lingkungan sebagai praktik komunikasi kebijakan global.

Abstract

This study sought to explore the complex interactions between learner autonomy, digital proficiency, and writing skill achievement. It involved a cohort of 33 students from an intermediate French writing class (Production Écrite) enrolled in an intensive program at Universitas Negeri Semarang in Indonesia. Methodologically, data acquisition encompassed the evaluation of learner’s autonomy and digital competence via structured questionnaires, complemented by the submission of writing scores from the program coordinator. Using a quantitative approach, the study applied the Pearson correlation coefficient to examine the relationships between digital literacy and learner autonomy, digital literacy and writing proficiency, and between autonomous learning and writing proficiency. The findings highlighted a strong positive correlation between digital literacy and learner autonomy (r = 0.606, p = 0.05), a moderate positive correlation between digital literacy and writing proficiency (r = 0.363, p = 0.05), and a small positive correlation between autonomous learning and writing proficiency (r = 0.289, p = 0.05). These findings highlight the importance of encouraging self-directed learning in French writing education while leveraging technological tools to enhance students' writing skills. Consequently, educators are encouraged to integrate digital literacy initiatives into their teaching practices to support the development of autonomous learners and improve overall writing competency among students.

Abstract

The Paris Agreement is an international accord that aims to limit the rise in global temperature and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The term les changements climatiques is a key concept that appears repeatedly in the Paris Agreement (2015). In the official Indonesian translation (Persetujuan Paris), this term is rendered as perubahan iklim (“climate change”). This topic is of particular interest because the term is not only scientific in nature but also carries strong political, policy-related, and ideological dimensions. Therefore, its analysis can be approached from three domains: linguistic-ecological, political, and socio-cultural. The occurrence of the term les changements climatiques in the French text, especially in the preamble and in sections acknowledging threats, obligations, and vulnerabilities, is significant. In the Indonesian translation, the term is consistently rendered as perubahan iklim. Based on the data collected, the term appears predominantly in the policy context, referring to state responsibilities, obligations under the convention, and related matters. It also appears in the ecological context, addressing threats to the environment and scientific urgency. Its presence in the socio-cultural category is also evident, although less frequent compared to the other two domains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap makna budaya yang terkandung dalam simbol-simbol ruang publik Prancis melalui pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes dan Yuri Lotman. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif, penelitian ini menganalisis sejumlah simbol visual yang ditemukan di ruang publik seperti bandara, rumah sakit, stasiun, dan area komersial. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa simbol-simbol tersebut tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi praktis, tetapi juga mengandung nilai-nilai ideologis yang mencerminkan identitas budaya Prancis, seperti keteraturan, disiplin sosial, penghargaan terhadap waktu, dan etika kolektif. Melalui integrasi analisis mikro struktural Barthes dan makro sistemik Lotman, penelitian ini menawarkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai bagaimana simbol-simbol ruang publik berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan kesadaran budaya masyarakat Prancis modern. Temuan ini diharapkan berkontribusi terhadap kajian semiotika budaya dan menjadi rujukan bagi studi interkultural di bidang linguistik dan pendidikan bahasa asing.

Abstract

Novel L’Assommoir karya Émile Zola (1877) menggambarkan kehidupan kelas pekerja Prancis abad ke-19 di tengah perkembangan kapitalisme dan industrialisasi. Karya ini menyoroti ketimpangan sosial, eksploitasi kelas pekerja, patriarki, serta dampak alkoholisme terhadap kehidupan masyarakat bawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis representasi realitas sosial, konflik kelas, dan pengaruh kapitalisme dalam L’Assommoir melalui perspektif sosiologi sastra Strukturalisme Genetik Lucien Goldmann. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan objek material berupa novel L’Assommoir dan objek formal berupa realitas sosial yang tercermin dalam teks. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode simak dengan teknik baca dan catat, lalu dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi fakta kemanusiaan, subjek kolektif, dan pandangan dunia yang berkaitan dengan konteks sosial-historis Prancis abad ke-19. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 29 data yang mencerminkan realitas sosial kelas pekerja, mencakup fakta sosial, individual, subjek kolektif, dan pandangan dunia. Novel ini memperlihatkan tekanan ekonomi, diskriminasi gender, dan kemiskinan struktural akibat sistem kapitalisme. Dengan demikian, L’Assommoir tidak hanya merefleksikan kondisi sosial masanya, tetapi juga menjadi kritik terhadap ketimpangan sosial, dehumanisasi, serta penindasan kelas dalam masyarakat industri Prancis.

Abstract

Le roman L'agnelle du Sacrifice de Mbaye Babacar Thiam illustre comment les femmes subissent diverses formes d'oppression en raison de l'entrecroisement de leurs identités. Le genre, la classe sociale, la couleur de peau, la race et l'âge sont interconnectés et engendrent une oppression multiple, en particulier pour celles qui sont marginalisées. Cela rejoint le concept d'intersectionnalité développé par Kimberlé Crenshaw, selon lequel les femmes confrontées à une oppression multiple subissent des pressions venant de différentes directions en raison de la croisée de leurs identités. De plus, Crenshaw divise l'intersectionnalité des femmes en trois aspects principaux : structurel, politique et représentationnel. Ainsi, cette recherche analysera la manière dont l'intersectionnalité des femmes est représentée dans le roman ainsi que les formes de résistance qu'elles adoptent pour y faire face. Cette recherche adopte une approche qualitative avec comme objet matériel L’agnelle du Sacrifice de Mbaye Babacar Thiam et comme objet formel l’intersectionnalité des femmes dans le roman. Les données utilisées consistent en des phrases, des citations et des dialogues recueillis à l’aide de la technique d’observation et de prise de notes. Ces données sont ensuite analysées à l’aide de la méthode d’analyse de contenu. Les résultats de cette étude mettent en lumière les différentes formes d’intersectionnalité vécues par les personnages féminins noirs au Sénégal. Elles subissent une oppression multiple en raison de leur genre, classe sociale, race, couleur de peau et âge, ce qui se manifeste par des violences domestiques, du harcèlement sexuel et de l’exploitation. Pour y faire face, elles adoptent diverses stratégies de résistance afin de se libérer. Par exemple, Tabara cherche à devenir indépendante financièrement pour échapper à la dépendance économique qui limite les femmes. De plus, elles s’opposent fermement à la domination masculine sur leur corps. Cela montre que ces femmes mettent en place plusieurs moyens pour lutter contre l’oppression qu’elles subissent.
